One never knows if the hotel is good for vacation in a new city. I booked this hotel based on location. Wasn’t sure about being so close to Depot Island ( crowds, noise, etc) It turned out it was the best thing we did. It was a bit far from the airport but can not beat the convenience of restaurants and shopping for daily necessities. We booked 2 rooms and the staff unlocked the connecting rooms which was super helpful. Hotel main building is older than I had anticipated. The staff barely speak English and not helpful as far as local tour information. We got to the hotel late so our room location had obstruct view to the ocean. I thought we had booked for a better room view but decided not to take it up with the hotel since we are already settled. Breakfast wasn’t 5 star but definitely sufficient to fill our tummies. We got to try several local Okinawa local food which was great. Food selections were changed slightly. Would stay again but try the annex building instead

One of the top hotels in Okinawa. I loved it very much. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast is a must try. Rooms were clean and they put a ice making machine on every floor. There is even Wifi in room. The hotel is right in the middle of Koukusai Dori, conveinent store next to the hotel, surrounded by lots of resturants and souvenior shops. However, if you plan on taking public transport for your trip, you better hope its not the rainy season, or you will be all wet before you get to the hotel from the monorail station.

We stayed in 3 hotels in Okinawa and this is definitely the best! Superb view of the sunset from the comfort of our room. Excellent service by the staff and super comfortable room with hot spring tub. They even packed breakfast for us knowing that we had to check out early and would miss the breakfast buffet. The terrace serves really good pancakes! Location is conveniently located about 15 mins from airport and within 30 mins to most of the shopping area in Okinawa.

I brought my karate students and parent chaperones to Okinawa to train at the International Karate Study Centre in Yomitan and visit various sites. We decided to make our home base at the Hyatt Regency Naha, and that was our best move. The location near Kokusai dori was perfect, and we took day trips to Central and Northern Okinawa; the hotel is also not far from Shurijo Castle Park and other important sites. It was great to come back to the hotel and relax in the rooftop pool in the evenings. Breakfast every morning was terrific with a great selection. By the second day, the staff knew our group and had a table ready for us every morning thereafter - so considerate! We emailed the concierge ahead of time, and through them we were able to schedule roundtrip airport transfer and chartered vans for two days of our stay. Overall, this hotel is now our hotel of choice in Okinawa. We give them our highest recommendation.

This is my second visit to Hotel Monterey Okinawa Spa and Resort. It is really a good hotel located in Onna where convenience to go wherever north or south of Okinawa. Room was clean. All room has ocean view. The high standard of service provided could be maintained as what I stayed last year. Other than the hotel, there were plenty choice of food. It was easy for us to have dinner outside hotel. Most of the hotel staff members are friendly, courteous and well trained. My only worst experience was when I taking photos with my wife at the chapel of the hotel. The chapel was being hired on that morning. I and my wife entered the gate of the chapel and would like to some take photo. A female staff stopped us and asked us to leave the chapel area. We went outside the gate and continued to take photos with the chapel as a background. That female staff went out and stopped us again. We argued with her. We just took photos outside the fenced area of the chapel. I asked her one question, what if I took photo from my guest room? She said NO I can’t. What a nonsense. My overall experience in the hotel is good except the individual staff.

This is a great place to stay in Okinawa. As the hotel is located in Onna, central part of Okinawa, so we explored the northern and central part of the main island. Rooms are spacious and clean. Loved the bathroom! Highly recommend the wide range of food offered in buffet breakfast. In any case, there is not much choice for brekkie outside the hotel. Enjoyed the nightly light show in the hotel atrium. There is also a really nice indoor pool filled with fish and other sea creatures. Probably the only gripe I have is that there are charges for hotel parking which does not make much sense since we are staying guests.

This hotel is worth every single penny that you will spend on it. I will definitely come back to Hotel Aqua Citta on my next Okinawa Naha visit. From the size of the room, the rooftop glass pool, the bar next to the pool, low rate street car parks are all around the hotel (No need to worry about the parking issue is very important in Japan.) and the location which just about 10 mins walking distance from the Kokusaidori (famous shopping district). Based on all these positive elements and the price that I paid for my stay, I really can't complain about anything. lol To be honest, It's hard to find a complaint from my personal experienced. Maybe walking is the only issue, which I need to be a hand carry guy after my girlfriend shopped a lot from Kokusaidori. lol. Because the monorail is nothing closed to this hotel, so there are no distance differences between Kokusaidori to Hotel Aqua Citta or Hotel Aqua Citta to the nearest monorail station.

I stayed at Blossom hotel in Fukuoka in June 2017 and found their hotel is very nice. So I booked Blossom Naha for my last night stay in Okinawa as it's very closed to the shopping centre and also restaurants. Surprisingly, they have hotel parking at JPY1500 for 24hours, so I don't need to search for external parking space. And this is a new hotel, and price is reasonable. I'll stay Blossom Naha if I come to Okinawa next time!

A complete hotel/resort that has everything... You could do your last min shopping of all okinawa goodies, if you rent car from Orix, you could hand your key at their counter next to the hotel recep, has onsen, sauna, swimming pool. Options Breakfast at the Jap or English restaurant or lunch buffet and we prefer the lunch buffet as it has a wider spread than the breakfast. The hotel room view is superb! The cleanliness and safety of the beach is awesome. I was looking forward for the kitchenette and laundry provided, but it was not, just a normal small oantry area tgat has fridge and electric flask. The laundry is at common area at every storeys, and it needs to be paid. Sorry for this comment as we are having 5d4n at okinawa where our 1st nite at Naha, air b n b provide free laundry and decent kitchenette area that has microwave, pots n pans etc. The real downside: all beach/marine activities prices are extremely costly! Renting of life jacket is a must if you want to do your own snockling at their beach. There is only 1 or 2 marine activity can be seen on beach each morning. We regret to drive ourselves to maeda to do our snockling there.

ive stayed in over 20 hotels in Japan in the past year and this is by far the best. it is located a few steps away from Kokusai Dori, the heart of Naha, yet is so peaceful and quiet at night. it’s convenient to travel to other parts of okinawa from here and i love how huge the room is- way larger than Japan’s standards. it is also really clean. with subway tiles in the toilet, there are too many grouts none had mold (i am anal like that). apart from one staff with pony-tail and dyed yellowish hair, all the staff are super helpful and polite. a very child-friendly hotel that provides pillows and body wash in cute dispensers for free and has a little lego play area at the lobby for kids! parking is also easy even though there are no carparks in the building. just behind the hotel is a carpark. despite it being small, i never had difficulties getting a lot regardless of what time i came back at. parking is cheap too at ¥1000 a day!

By far, this is the best place to be in Okinawa. The hotel is new, spacious and very clean. It captures the captivating view of the emerald beach. The food is good especially the beef they use. They have lots of restaurants. Their amenities would really make you have fun with water (pools, onsen, beach, sauna, massage). The staff are all courteous and nice. Checking-in and out is a breeze. They have buses going to the airport and other places. The hotel is just walking distance from Churaumi. You can take the mini cart to go to the different places in Churaumi (dolphin show, manatee place, old okinawa houses, aquarium, garden) and back to the hotel. Being in this hotel is waking up to the scene of paradise in Okinawa. Highly recommended!

This hotel is just located in the middle of the Okinawa. If you want to go to downtown like international street or DFS, you could take luminous bus then transfer rail or taxi. If you have 4 adults, cost of taking taxi is comparable with luminous bus. There are 8 restaurants offered in the hotel from local Okinawa food, sushi, buffet to Chinese food. Do not worry about your baby or parents. They can find what they love to eat. Room rate is not that cheap because they have private beach but sand is not perfect. In sum, if you plan to have a relaxed vacation, stay here.

Though I had a heck of a time finding the place as I drove up (signs are blocked by other businesses' signs.) the hotel was great. The room was a little bigger than the average single bed I've booked and while there's no heat in the rooms, making for a slightly chilly night depending on how low it gets, its Okinawa and they do offer a heater in case you're the type to get cold easily (like half my family). They do indeed have the car park mentioned on the booking page, however its not next to the hotel. The walk isn't bad and it was about 800yen a night for the parking. Worked out really well!

Staff were very polite and nice. We checked in pretty late but they were all very happy to assist. Location wise, would only recommend for travellers with car rental (just like the rest of Okinawa hotels, really). There are restaurants just around 1km drive out and convenient store around 500m, which was quite nice. Rooms were huge and had good views (too bad it was all rainy on the days we stayed), but nonetheless really enjoyed staying here and we absolutely loved the big bath tub. :)

It was a great and pleasant stay! The staff of the hotel is very friendly and very attentive. The room is not big but suffice for a couple. Clean room. Great value for money. I would stay here again and again if I were to visit Okinawa. Train station and private hotel car park at doorstep makes it very convenient. 20 to 30 steps from train station or private hotel car park to the lift of the hotel! That is how close it is. 500 yen for one day parking (that is a steal considering parking at close by Kokusai-dori parking is 200 yen per 15 mins!). One train station away west from Kokusai-dori and it is also within walking distance. Also one station away east from DFS and main place shopping complex with nearby Toy'rus and best denki. Good for shopping. Best of all is the branded outlet shooping at Akibinaa near Naha airport. Must drive there though.

It is a good hotel for spending our holidays there. This hotel provide a outdoor swimming pool mainly for children, it is large enough and beautiful. The indoor swimming pool and the onsen need to be paid. We live in the main building superior room with balcony, the bay view and swimming pool view is nice. The room size is large as compared with other hotel in Okinawa. The price for this hotel with swimming pool is fair enough. But no Wifi in room.

First of all, the location is just perfect. It's connected to Yui Monorail which runs around Naha city and also to Naha airport. If you take taxi from Naha airport, like I did, the trip will take less than 15 minutes. Moreover, the hotel is practically next to Naha bus terminal, which is very convenient for those who don't rent car. From outside, the RIHGA Royal Gran Okinawa Hotel looks like ordinary building, but inside it's decorated tastefully. Room is clean and importantly, bathroom is very spacious and has seperated toilet ( I booked twin bed room). View from room is so-so but from lobby and restaurant (14th floor) is quite stunning. Breakfast buffet is superb and offers Okinawa food as well as international. Staffs speak good English and are friendly. It is our first time in Okinawa so we asked a lot of questions and they seemed genuinely glad to help us.

Loved my stay at this hotel!!! Nice, clean, comfortable, quiet, good facilities...that almost everything I need is in place and offered in a right way. I am quite a hard-to-pleased traveler when comes to hotel.Unfortunately, I have to be a frequent business traveler with a limited budget from my own little business.I guess I have no problem either to recommend to anyone whom comes to Okinawa for travel or to be a return guest to this hotel. If there is anything that I wish to be better, then I guess I would wish it to be bigger. Is that too much to ask in anywhere in Japan? I guess so, because everything comes in a small size way. So, it is truly the best you can wish with how much you had paid.

I resided at this hotel several months ago with my wife for diving tour, and I can assure you that the stay here will be much more satisfying than you could expect (especially for who has been to Okinawa in prior). We actually stayed at the room only for like the sleep over since we spent most of the time outside, but we could simply judge that this hotel is one of the best around the area, just with the fact that the rooms are roomy than any other hotels in Okinawa. Except for that the hotel is a little bit far from the main travel spots (international st., American village etc.) I bet this is one of the hotels that are actually worth the price, especially for those who dislike the miserably cramped rooms, which most are in Okinawa.

We stayed here on our first and final night of our trip to Okinawa, compared to other hotels we stayed during our stay this hotel is the most excellent value for money. Very clean, modern room with nice interior deign, high speed wifi in the room, well equipped bathroom, comfortable bed and staff are all very attentive and friendly. Excellent hotel location only 3 min walks to the monorail station with many nice restaurants nearby. We will definitely come back again on our next visit to Okinawa and will recommend this hotel to all our friends and family.

This hotel is a very good hotel compare with value for money, it is not far from ishigaki town hall and easy to reach by bus. Further it is also provide free shuttle bus to her client travelling between airport to hotel. I also appreciate her front desk service staff friendly and polite service. Beside, it give me a very impression that is the welcome drink which serve with their local famous draft beer 'Orion' to customer. I am also highly recommend who have time to take a break at this hotel client , they do walking of hotel beach when the sunset, it view is quite beautiful.

It's a very nice hotel. The Room is clean, very comfortable, nice location for drivers. You can have a beautiful night view of Okinawa but a car is a must. They upgraded our room for our celebration which is very nice. We will definitely go again. Highly recommend for self-driving tours. This hotel is easily full because of tours, I booked the room two months before I arrive.

The hotel was perfect. Very close to Sunset Beach (1 minute) with nice view. Room size was also big compare to other Okinawa Hotel. A/C, hair dryer, fridge.. Everything was all in. However, the parking lot was not enough use, so we used the public. And there was a construction while we were staying. It's not noisy but trucks are moving so people with baby need to aware.

The location is great, just minutes walk from the international street, Kokusai Dori. You can find souvenir shops, local restaurants with Okinawa cuisine. It is a long street end to end. It is very near to the airport, just 15 mins by monorail. The hotel has 2 car rental companies along the back, Sky car rental - which is very expensive and they do not have english GPS nor english speaking staff, and Mazda Car Rental. Mazda does not have english GPS as well, but their prices are much more reasonable. In the end I asked at the hotel concierge and with their help managed to secure a car for 2 days from OTS (which is a very big company) for a very good decent price with English GPS. It was a breeze driving around, just have to input the phone number of the place you are heading to!! OTS have a big site just off the airport and they run a shuttle to get you to the airport every 10 mins, therefore best to return to their airport site. Breakfast at Nahana is cheapest in town at Yen 1000 with a coupon from the front desk, ask when you check in. The spread is very good and adequate, didnt have to wait long for top ups and the omelette chef is very good. I drove from Naha to Sun Marina and stopped along Yomitan which is famous for their pottery and kilns. Had a good time there, especially with small kids and need a stop in between for lunch and a bit of walking around. If you are heading to Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, best to purchase individual or family tickets from OTS or Lawson / Family Mart, it is at a discount vs if you were to purchase them at the counter at the aquarium. Will save you a tidy sum! Best to rent a car and will need an international driving license plus your home country driving license. Getting around in Okinawa is a challenge without a rental car and taxis are very few and expensive outside of Naha. The Aquarium is 60 km from Naha and there is no direct bus, you will have to change bus at Nago, which is a hassle esp if you have kids i

This is my first experience to stay in a capsule style hotel like this, and this impressed me very much in a positive way. Although I was assigned on an upper bed. The staffs at the front desk are nice and helpful, there is a free welcome ice-stick that you can get at the counter as well as slipper etc. The room is super quiet and clean with a mini fridge and shoe shelves. There is a nice common room with long work table, pantry bar and smoking room beside. It looks cool. In the washroom there is toilet, washing counter, make up desk and access to the shower room- shower gel, shampoo and conditioner is included. Clean and proper. Although quite some people staying, I don't feel too crowded, this is a very comfortable stay. Also it's just right besides the pier, harbour walkway and hilton hotel. The American village is just walkable!!! Alot of lovely souvenir stores and restaurants there, also a museum and beach on the other side. I shall have booked at least one more night here!! I would definitely come again if there is chance I visit Okinawa in future.
