This motel is overall good. It was clean but I want to mention two things. First, it was really hard to operate the shower in my room. There was an instruction but it wouldn't work properly. Second, breakfast was not good. There were only a few things prepared, so I went to Walmart to grab my breakfast. If you don't expect too much, this place is great to stay a night....

Got free room upgrade. Short drive to downtown, shopping mall and airport. Breakfast items are okay. The pillows could be better. The room is clean.

Our stay was great, this hotel was only listed at one star on another site, so I took a chance because Agoda had it for a great price. We were pleasantly surprised and glad we took the chance. Staff was nice, hotel was across the street from two restaurants, kids loved the pool.

This motel is good value for money but they do have a resort fee which is a little redundant. Its clean, comfortable and the breakfast selection is ok. The pool looked good for kids but we did not use it. The staff were fantastic and friendly though and even being stuck in a snow storm here was fine. I would stay again.

No injury involved. I think mattress need to be changed out. Kind of lumpy, also I noticed corners in bathroom need to be cleaned out.

The front desk clerk struggled with the credit card technologies. I called my CC company to confirm the problem was not my card (20 minutes on the phone). Finally got a room. The staff there are friendly, the whole building and parking lot could use a good cleaning, stained carpets, garbage bins overflowing. The rooms were quite a bit better cleaned. The breakfast may as well have been non existent. Did not eat there due to uncleanliness of the lobby area where it was served. The location of the hotel is great.

On the Rushmore rd, ideal for Mt. Rushmore and Fort Hayes chuckwagon show. A little on the tired side but a reasonable brekkie and friendly staff. We ate at Ruby Tuesdays, which as well as being walkable is reasonably priced and with good service. Bed not as comforable as the Super 8 the night before in Sturgis. Breakfast was a fiasco, Waffle iron cold, pancake maker non functioning, hot room. Otherwise was average Super 8.

When making our reservations, we selected this location with waterpark for the kids to enjoy , but when we got there we were told the waterpark was a separate cost .

Our stay at the Grand Gateway was a thumbs up. Though we came in a day early,the staff was very friendly and accomodated us. Bravo Zulu to them. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable which made our stay superb. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the area.

Nice room wil kitchenesse and large fridge. A/C is a very basic single unit with no wall thermostat and located right next to the bed (thus blowing onto it at night). Less than ideal. The gentleman who was at the front desk on 11/8/18 was so kind. We were given a second floor room but when he saw my husband used a walker, he quickly offered a handicapped room on the first floor. Much appreciated.

If you're looking for a Quality Inn that looks great, this isn't the one. Our room door kept catching and so we'd have to slam it shut every time we went in or out which was a lot. This is an older but nice, locally owned hotel. It lacks some of the amenities of the larger chain hotels, but it has very clean rooms that are more spacious than some of the bigger chain hotels. Pros: hot breakfast, nice pool and hot tub, friendly staff. Con: I am not sure if they had an elevator which did not bother me and my boys, but it may be harder for elderly or some with handicaps. I actually liked the stairs. They were located in the front and opened up the front desk area. It was easy to access the front desk from anywhere.
