We booked 2 night stay tryingsttrying for the 1st time at Mutsui hotel chain. We were very impressed with the spacious room for Tokyo standard, nice reception, right above JR station Shin-Nihonbashi and also the subway station Mitsukoshi Mae. We stayed at Daiwa Roynet before and few other Japanese chains and the rooms were smaller as expected for Tokyo standard. The great experience was destroyed by Ms Yamagechi, the front desk staff when we approached her to notify her that we're very closed to check out time and we would go up to collect our luggage and check out. We expected her to be appreciative of our proactiveness. However, instead, she gave the unhappy look that we passed the regular check out time which we told her the hotel has agreed to extend 1 hour for us. Not only that, not looking interested to continue the conversation, she's like 'Hurry up!" We're totally appalled with her attitude. She's in hospitality industry but yet she's so hostile. We expected more friendliness from Japan and she just took us by surprise. To the Management of Mitsui Garden Nihonbashi, please ensure you send Ms Yamageshi for customer service and hospitality training. Despite the unpleasant experience by the staff, the hotel is a really nice one, spacious to stay and I'll highly recommend it. Nihonbashi is a business district, much quieter as compared to Ginza or Shinjuku and if you prefer less touristy nice quiet neighbourhood, this is perfect. There're nice restaurants around the hotel too.

It's a sleek, modern and clean no frills hotel, all we needed for a Tokyo hotel to recharge at night ! Went for the deluxe double and it was well worth it for the bigger bathroom and most importantly , a proper massage chair , invaluable after a long day in the city! For the money paid I can't find a better hotel in Tokyo ! Similar priced ones are usually smaller and more basic. It's very close to three metro stations, so easy access to other parts of Tokyo like shibuya, shinjuku And skytree tower! Drawback is 10-15 minutes walk to airport bus and likewise for Tokyo station, not easy with lots of luggage. And its Ginza! good for shopping during the day but nothing happens at night . But it's one of the few hotels I would consider staying again next time I am in Tokyo !

Room size is small as expected of Tokyo hotels. But it is a new hotel and very well designed. Imaine a 55" LED TV at the end of your bed! It comes with a shower and bathtub. Everything you need is taken care of as expected of Japanese hotels. The location is superb. Being extremely near to Nippori station on Yamanote line, you are well connected to most places in Tokyo city. The neighbourhood has also food and basic amenities easily within reach just below the hotel. Star find with this price.

My 2nd APA Hotel that i stayed in. As usual APA hotel is super clean and nice even the room is perfectly clean. Facilities is good. The public bath is awesome. Hotel staff are very friendly and efficient especially the guy that help me with the check in.. will return to any APA hotel in tokyo. As i think they have a very high standard in their hotel cleanliness, facilities and the staff that is working there.

Hotel Sardonyx is a business hotel located near both JR and Keisei Ueno Stations as well as Okachimachi and Ueno Stations on the Subway. This makes it a good base to do explorations within Tokyo or beyond Tokyo with the extensive JR network, making day trips to places like Yuzawa, Karuizawa and Saitama with the Tokyo Wide Pass very convenient. Located near Keisei Ueno Station also meant that you have easy access to Narita Airport via the Keisei Skyliner. Food-wise, there are plenty of options in the area and there are also major attractions like the Le Corbusier designed The National Museum of Western Art nearby as well as Ueno Zoo etc. I had a comfortable stay at the hotel, the shower water pressure is good and the bed is quite firm. The space isn't too tight either for a Tokyo hotel in the central area. In short, not bad for a hotel that is versatile as a base to explore Tokyo and beyond.

Graet experience staying in Hundred Stays Hotel. This hotel got everything you need for your traveling. Unlike other luxury or expensive hotel in Tokyo, Hundred Stays Hotel room size is much more comfortable for a couple or family to stay. It is very clean and the hotel facility is good. Even it has Microwive, frige, and laundry machine in the room, so it is a perfect hotel selection for visitors or business man who will stay in Tokyo more than 5 days. Moreover, there is a convenience store right on the 1F of this hotel building and tons of restaurants in its neighborhood. 2~3 mins walking distance from hotel to city train station. It is my NO1 hotel choice in downtown Tokyo.

Arrived very late at night from Haneda International Terminal through both Monorail & JR Yamanote Line, I had to spend around 20 minutes to find the right way from JR Shinjuku Station. However, it's inside Kabuki-cho, which is one of the best place to have a night drink in Tokyo. But also, the staff is very kind as they kept my 50,000 yens CoD order while other hotels in Tokyo would refuse. For French visitors who are not fluent in English, this is the right place to find French-speaking staff. The room size is correct according to Tokyo standards and it's equipped with Shiseido amenities everywhere. I would also recommend to have a delicious breakfast on the top of the hotel to get a wonderful landscape of Tokyo.

Stayed for 5 nights in a double room. Good size compared to other hotels in Tokyo. 7-10 min walk to JR Shimbashi Station and 5 min walk to Higashi Ginza metro station. Staff are not fluent in English but they try their best to help. To Narita airport, we took a cab to Tokyo Station (less than ¥1000) then express airport bus. 7-11 below the hotel, Lawson’s across the street and Family Mart a few steps away. Don Quixote and a supermarket is also close by. Highly recommended.

We booked the Tower Suites Double. Not sure if it was included but just not mentioned on the booking or if we were upgraded, but we got a room on the 38th (premium) floor with a view of a park and Tsukiji market, and daily breakfast for two. Here's a quick summary of our excellent stay at The Shiodome RPH: Location: the hotel is conveniently located close to the Shimbashi station. However, for those not used to living/staying in a large metropolis, although the hotel is connected to the station, it may still take 10-15 minutes to walk to a certain subway line as the stations have many exits and are well connected underground. In addition to train/subway, there is always a taxi standing by outside the hotel and the valet is very helpful. There is also airport shuttle to and from Haneda and Narita airports. Facilities: the hotel has a spa and a gym, although I did not use either. There are several restaurants on-site. For the daily breakfast there are three options: Western buffet, Chinese buffet, and Japanese. We ended up going to only the Western and Chinese buffet, both are small but have delicious food. There is also a 24-hour Family Mart convenience store downstairs, which provided several yummy late night snack/drink options. We also quite enjoyed the iced and hot coffee available in the vending machine on our floor. Room: My biggest concern with booking a hotel in Tokyo is with the size of the room and the size of the bed, as I have read many reviews in the past that mentioned Tokyo hotel rooms are small. Our room is not the case - we have a HUGE (King+ size) bed, and the room still has a small seating area and desk. Overall I was very satisfied with the size of the bed and the size of the room. The premium floor rooms also offer high ceilings, which is a plus. Room is very clean and comfortable. Amenities/Others: There is a capsule coffee machine in the room and mini bar. Of course, there is a nice toilet in the hotel (specialty of Japan). But I LOVE the

East 21 is an excellent hotel. The staff are helpful and polite. English is well understood. The rooms are comfortable and clean. They are small but this is typical of nearly all Tokyo hotels. Breakfast is a buffet, good enough to suit both Asian and International tastes, but check prices as charges increase usually on weekends. The fitness centre and spa is clean and well equipped but can be expensive depending on the day, typical of the variable rates that many Tokyo hotels charge. Pick the week days for lower prices. East 21's location is an 8 minute walk from Toyocho station (T14) on the Toyo Rapid rail line, an easy connection to the Keisei rail line which takes you to and from Narita airport. The hotel also has shuttle buses to both Narita and Haneda airports. Using the Toyo line, its easy to get to most locations around Tokyo city. Overall, Hotel East 21 is excellent value for money. While its not 5 star, its a good 3.5 to 4 star at a reasonable price.

Conveniently located just a zebra crossing away from Tokyo Skytree, this hotel was absolutely perfect in terms of location. This meant that there was no obstacle when it came to finding a restaurant for dinner, a nice café for afternoon tea, souvenirs for yourself and loved ones – not to mention a trip to the 350m – 450m levels of Skytree, where the view was absolutely breathtaking (especially on clear days with plentiful sunshine). The hotel itself is also easy to reach. From Haneda airport, you can take Bus 4, which would bring you to Skytree. The bus will stop at the bus station near the shopping mall, which is a five min walk from the hotel. The check-in ran very smoothly. A fridge and microwave are located on our floor – as is the vending machine. From our room, we can just about see a corner of Skytree. There are water bottles provided in the room daily shaped like the Skytree tower, which was quite a delightful detail. The rooms in the hotel have excellent sound-blocking systems, and there are separate rooms for the toilet and shower/bath. A local smartphone is provided in each room – which really helped us in communication, local firsthand experiences, as well as significantly improving our efficiency in terms of navigating around Tokyo. For instance, when we decided to use the Tokyo subway, the phone help us plan our trips in the subway, from estimating subway journeys to guiding us when transferring stations. This hotel is connected to the ‘Life’ superstore, which is filled with plentiful good food and even kitchen equipment, as well as other pharmacy equipment and beauty products from great quality but reasonably priced local Japanese brands. Throughout our stay, the staff were all very polite and helpful, going above and beyond in their service. On the second day of our stay, we asked the young lady at the customer service counter to help book a spot in a restaurant near the Tokyo National Museum. When she communicated with the restaur

we treated ourselves to a stay at the cerulean for 4 nights and when arriving, we were upgraded to a higher floor which meant an even better view. During the day, the large windows show much of Tokyo which was nice but at night it really made it worth booking - when the lights came on and you could see the main crossing in Shibuya etc. We booked a twin which was all that was available but each of the beds was big enough for two people which was great - and had the bonus of feather duvet and pillows. The curtains were thick which kept all the light out so easy to get to sleep. The room was spacious and the bathroom excellent, with a deep bath and wet room-style shower. I was very jet lagged after a long flight and wanted a cup of tea and a quick swim - sadly, a tea bag which you had to make yourself cost 330 Yen and it was over 2000Yen to use the pool facilities even though you were a resident. Over GBP15 to use the pool was excessive since I only wanted to use it for about 10 minutes and did not want to waste my short time in Tokyo in the hotel gym etc for a day. This was slightly disappointing as would expect to get this for free as a resident of the hotel. Breakfast was also not included and very expensive if decided to book it. The plus side was that the location of the hotel was excellent, bars and restaurants looked nice although did not use them. There were a few streets around the hotel which had excellent standing sushi bars and sit down restaurants, very close to all the fantastic shopping and haranjuku where there is a peaceful park and more shopping. It was a great location and would recommend it simply for that and the view. Overall, the hotel was clean, comfortable, with an exceptional view of Tokyo but it was very frustrating having to pay extra for everything when there was already an additional 10% automatically added to the room rate.

the reason we pick this hotel was because it is rather spacious compared to other tokyo hotels, so our toddler and luggages can fit nicely. they gave us a corner room so we got that extra few m2 which was a bonus! the location is pretty good, 15-mins walk from tokyo station but located in a rather quiet commercial area (so it was pretty much dead at night unlike shibuya/shinjuku/kabukicho where we previously stayed), so if you want that glimmering tokyo night life, this hotel will not be suitable for you. also make sure that you take the yaesu south exit when you alight at tokyo station and just walk straight from there. we weren't informed and didn't do much research and we took the marunouchi exit and had to make a long detour around tokyo station with our 2 luggages, carry ons, stroller and toddler after one tiring red-eye flight! (what a bummer!) or else, you can also take a taxi from tokyo station (which would cost you about 7000-10000yen). overall, we would come back to this hotel if we come back to tokyo!

This hotel is great! Prior to staying at the hotel, I had several questions, and the hotel always responded via email. Communication with the hotel was great. The hotel is accessable from the Narita Airport by bus shuttle (to and from the airport). This is extremely convienent door to door service. I recommend using this service, unless you want to figure out the train and subway system after a long flight, and carry your bulky luggage on a busy train. Check in (and check out) was very easy. Staff was very friendly and most spoke English, or found someone who did speak English. Staff was also very knowledgeable about Tokyo, exchanging foreign currency, and local restaurants. The hotel is able to exchange some foreign currency. If you have other types of uncommon currency, then there is a bank close by who may be able to exchange your money. The hotel location is great for Tokyo visitors. It is a few minute walk to the Shimbashi station, which will get you to anywhere in Tokyo quickly. The hotel is within walking distance of Ginza, the famous Tsukiji fish market, and tons of restaurants (Japanese, formal, casual, McDonalds, KFC, and many many more). If you need to buy unique Japanese toys for kids, the hotel is within walking distance to a large toy department store (Hakuhinkan). There are two 7-11 type corner stores on either side of the hotel, which also sells food and drinks. Our hotel room was spacious and very clean. Wired or wireless internet is available. The room had all of the amenities you could ever need. We were lucky enough to have a view of Tokyo Tower from our room, and saw it lit up every night. The hotel interior decorating is fine. We did not try the food at the hotel because there were so many local restaurants to try. Compared to other Tokyo hotels, this hotel is good value. We were sad to leave the hotel because our experience was so good. I would stay here again.

A very clean hotel. It is newly opened. My room was rather small and cramp, which is expected of Tokyo hotels. Many amenities besides the basic toiletries were provided. The bathroom was designed to look like your very own private onsen. The view from my room on the 21st floor was superb. The only gripe I had was that the bed was too small. It is a super single bed. Too cramped for 2 adults and 1 small child. The other thing is the blinds. It is not enough to keep sunlight out in the morning and the sun rises at 4am in Tokyo. The location is very convenient. There are many restaurants and convenience stores just below the hotel and it is just within 10 minutes walk from Shinjuku Station. The service from the staff at the front desk was excellent. I asked many questions and directions to the attractions in Tokyo and they took the initiative to look up from the internet whatever they did not have answers to.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days recently. We had a very pleasant experience throughout our stay. Initially we booked our room in 2 separate booking, so theoretically we have to check in another room for the 2nd day, but the front staff, a gentleman, is so kind and really took the time to find us a high floor room for the 2 nights so that we need not have the hassle to change room. Thank you so much. Obviously we had a good view looking out to Tokyo Tower. Room is not big but adequate, well lited, including the bathroom. There is convenient store in house which proved to be very useful. But through out our stay, the one thing which touches us is the friendliness of the hotel staffs, very courteous and ever ready to help. That particular lady who sent us to our limousine bus deserved special mention for being very thoughtful. Unfortunately in a hurry we didn't register her name. We stayed in 6 hotels in Tokyo, and I must admit we have the best experience from this hotel.

Nippon Seinenkan Hotel is over the road from the Meiji Jingu Stadium, which means it's super easy to catch a Yakult Swallows game - so much fun! The hotel itself is very new and very convenient to the Tokyo Metro Ginza subway line, and the Omotesando, Shibuya and Shinjuku shopping areas are all within walking distance. Ginza shopping is only a short subway ride away. The hotel staff were very friendly - lots of English was spoken, which made things even easier for us. I've stayed in quite a few really lovely hotels in Tokyo and the Nippon Seinenkan Hotel compares favourably in lots of ways - value for money, quality of room, location and facilities. The room (queen) was small, but that's Tokyo - it didn't worry us even though we were there for 15 nights. There's even a Family Mart on-site for late night snacks. All in all, a wonderful stay in the best city!

From the Narita Airport took Keisei Bus 900 yen alight at Kaihinmakuhari JR station walk about 10 mins to APA Hotel,check in time 2pm we stayed at triple room found it is clean and have a spacious room.The hotel provide shuttle bus to Kaihinmakuhari station and airport bus from the hotel at 900 yen.The hotel is worth to stay and it is cheap than other in Tokyo.it is 20 mins journey to Tokyo Disneyland via Keiyo JR Line 310 yen.I will strongly recommend to people who want to find a budget and have a four star hotel In Tokyo.

it was my first time in Tokyo and didnt know what to expect. first of all, i had the queen executive room. it was small, yes, but not as small as other hotel rooms in tokyo (since i visited my friends' hotel rooms in roppongi during the same trip). everything was quite perfect. sufficient for my needs and i loved the onsen on the rooftop! background about me: i stay at 5 star hotels and expensive boutique hotels when i travel, and i must say that the location and charm of this hotel has made me decide to stay there again when in Tokyo. i dont think anyone would regret booking this hotel for the price and what you get out of it...

This is my fave hotel in Tokyo located in a very busy section of Tokyo called ikebukuro. although the room is quite small and the design is a bit outdated but it is very clean and the staff service is superb. The staff helps to receive and keep my japan wireless package safely until i arrived and they even helped me to post back the package after i checked out. Dont worry if you overshop as the concierge provides post service to send your stuff back to your country at a reasonable free. They even sell various sizes of shipping boxes at an extremely cheap price and they even let you use their scotch tape for free. Metro station is location right at the back of the hotel in the Lumine building, mojor departments store such as TOBU, SEIBU and PARCO are just a few steps away from this hotel. Convenience stores are just right by the corner. I will be back for sure. Thanks

This was really a good stay and i would highly recommebnd this hotel in Tokyo. First of all rooms are large and not over priced when you ask for a twin bed room. I think it is very rare in Tokyo. Then service level, wuality and confort of the rooms are really good in line or above european 4 stars /5 stars standard Location is good very near to metro / train station. Access is very easy . Hotel has public baths on the top floor an it is nice to try. The only bad thing to mention is that internet in the room was very very very slow. So you could not really use it except for emails checking.

The Shibuya Excel Hotel was my first stay in Tokyo Japan. I must say it was the most wonderful experience. The Hotel is brilliantly located, has the best views, lovely and clean and tidy and very quiet. Very relaxing to return to after a busy day exploring this wonderful part of the world. The staff are great ambassadors for Japan and maintain that lovely warmth, respect and friendliness of all Japanese people. I have no hesitation in recommending the Shibuya Excel to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable hotel in Tokyo. The longer you stay the better!!!

I loved my stay at the Millennium Mitsui and I will stay here again in the future, possibly every time I visit Tokyo. The furnishings are comfortable and modern and the lobby is beautiful. It's perfect walking distance from the fish market, a main train station and I couldn't be happier with their staff if I tried. I came down with tonsillitis while I was in Tokyo and I made 1 call to the front desk and everything was taken care of from the cab ride to the doctor to my arrival back at the hotel. Another factor which is important to me as a traveler is Internet/wifi and the Mitsui had the best I've encountered in Asia. I could easily access everything I needed almost as if I were in my own place. To sum up, the Millennium Mitsui isn't the grandest hotel in Tokyo but it had everything I needed from an $ exchange kiosk in the lobby to superb staff that helped with anything and everything I needed during my stay. I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

The location of the hotel is its best selling point. Couldn't be more convenient for those travelling to Narita airport by skyliner. The room itself is a little bit bigger than other Tokyo hotel rooms and for 1 person feels the right size. The bed is super soft which i thought it would be a problem but i have a suspicion that it is a memory mattress. Same with the pillows they are flat but again for me it wasn't a problem, as i got used to it within an hour. The TV screen is big with some Japanese channels and BBC world news that you can watch for free. Moneywise it was a bit expensive but again you are paying for the convenient location.

I was pleased with the hotel's location as this is situated near the Kinschicho train station. There are several restaurants nearby and 7-11 convenience store is just a few steps from the hotel. The staff were very accommodating and can speak English very well. The room is quite small but I guess that's the norm in Tokyo hotels. I'd book again in this place when I go back to Tokyo.

The location near Shinjuku station was perfect for arriving and departing from Tokyo as well as accessing transport around Tokyo. Shinjuku is a great area, so much to see and do. We were on the 22nd floor and the views (especially on the side facing Shinjuku) were amazing. Our deluxe twin room was really roomy, especially after what I was expecting a Tokyo hotel room to be.
