Nice and clean hotel in the center of Tashkent

Large, comfy, bright room with great views over city and park. Helpful staff. Only downside was breakfast - nearly half of the items including coffee had run out 15 minutes in and weren't replaced for 20 minutes despite repeated requests from guests.

Hotel needs major renovations and the staff are not organized. We had to change our room twice! 1st time toilet running and bathroom door did not closed---big hole in the knob. 2nd one did not have hot water. I wish they had computers for guests to use and I would recommend more protein options for breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon). Cost about $10/100,000 som for a taxi from the airport or about $2/20,000 som from the train station (taxi drivers might attempt to rip you off)

Good location close to the main market. Pleasant courtyard breakfast area. Owner/manager speaks good English; can arrange airport taxi. Supermarket and restaurants 5-10 minute walk. No problems or issues when I was there, and I would stay there again.

We spent two different nights at the Star Hotel. The rooms were clean and nice, and the breakfast was good. Our favorite part was the staff, especially the young man at the reception with a great smile. Really enjoyed our stay.

I stayed 4 nights there, and felt like my home. 10 minutes walk to the railway station, but slightly far to city center (Amir Timur square) Rooms are clean, and staffs are friendly and helpful. WiFi speed is as good as in Singapore

Quiet, clean, comforting rooms, on the firm side beds, no restaurant, which for me was excellent, but fantastic breakfast with variety and fresh cooked food. Personnel extremely polite and warm. Excellent atmosphere. Could not expect a better place if interested to rest and have quick access to all the parts of the town without the show of large hotels

Breakfast is great and plentiful. Room a bit too small. Location not central but thanks to Yandex easy to get to.

The location was good for us as we could walk to sites or there was a nearby metro station. There are no restaurants in the area, but if you walk to the nearby park (10 minutes) there are a number of options. We arrived in the middle of the night and the night staff were excellent.

Art Hostel's a good base for exploring Tashkent. I liked that the beds weren't bunk beds, but each had reading lamps and outlets. The bathrooms were clean, and the breakfast was impressively diverse and buffet-style, with something for everyone. I stayed only one night on the last leg on my journey. Lovely family, very helpful and awesome breakfast. I Should have stayed here on my first leg of the journey. Highly recommended

Easy 5-10min walk to the metro and fantastic and very helpful and laid back host. Rooms clean and big.

A very please stay with friendly and smiling staff. Enough English speaking staff to make visitors feel welcome. The rooms are exactly what you would expect from business travelers, and the wifi throughout the hotel is a lifesaver in a country that doesn't seem to have data roaming. It is in a good location, and I can definitely recommend it for business travelers.

If you're flying in really late - or out early - this is a great place to stay. The lobby small, with a front desk and some elevators behind that... but it has a filtered, hot and cold water dispenser - which is a life saver when you're arriving late! There were also two small bottles of water gratis in the room, but after a long flight, you're usually quite dry, so...

Grand Tashkent is a perfect layover hotel as it's only 5 minutes from the airport and bout 15 minutes from the airport. Good if you need a hotel the night before. We enjoyed the breakfast.

The hotel is new and the staff were excellent...one of the best that i have stayed in. They provided very helpful information and offered me and my visitors hot drinks at the lobby. They were very friendly and made me feel at home. NO reservations about the staff. The room I selected was a basic one but b=nevertheless it had all the necessary amenities you would expect...
