Traveling to Albania? Find Vlorë hotels

First, one must know that Albanians have very little experience on western style hotel management because the country was closed to the world. These people were trying to do their best but that was not enough. The hotel has running cold and warm water, what some other hotels in Albania might not have. Some rooms have their own air conditioner but some other rooms like ours had central air conditioning which was often turned off, I was told that the reason for this were the other guests who were complaining of having cold while my children were suffering from heat. The pool had its water circulating but there were a lot of dead insects lying on the water. Hotel has its own private beach a couple of meters away, which is relatively small but good and according to locals the water there is clean but a friend of mine had some doubts that sewage from hotel was poured to the sea just on the side of the beach. Hotel manager was very friendly and some of the stuff too. The furniture was old and damaged and the prices were high during high season. As a conclusion; this hotel does not deserve 4 stars, but it is one of the best hotels in town of Vlora.

Himara is small town and everything is near. Stairs to the appartmant are butifull and little bit of exercise after wonderfull Albanian food was just what we needed. Appartemant is clean and large. What we missed as facilities was delivered by our host imediately. Mr. Pandeli helped us with everything... car park, choose the best trips, help when the little one had ear pain. We will definatelly came back. Thank you.

Edoardo is a fantastic host.He could not be more welcoming and friendly. The apartment is a short 5 minutes walk from the centre but up in a quiet area with beautiful views over Himare Bay. The apartment is new with a large air conditioned lounge and modern bathroom. There is a balcony and kitchen. We were so impressed with this apartment we will return next week for a further 4 days!

The air conditioner of the room I originally booked wasn't working, and the staff didn't know until I feedback and he didn't seem to know how to fix the problem either. I went out and came back late at night hoping to have a hot shower before resting, only to realise the toilet light wasn't working at all and I didn't bring a torch with me on this trip. Room is cheap, but if I knew all these gonna happen I would rather pay a little more to have a room that is fully functional as what was described.

We stopped for one night at Hotel Alpin near the top of Llogora. The hotel is nice, staff is friendly, and facilities are good. It's a good location to spend a night or two In the middle of the hot summer; in fact it got cool in the evening. This is a great location for the travelers that are headed further south and want to avoid driving down the winding road at night. Actually, we prefer going down that road in the morning to be able to enjoy the amazing views from the top of Llogora.

Value for money doesn't get better than this. It may be tricky to find, but Dream Hotel is a short distance from downtown Saranda, yet is positioned in the middle of a cove with its own beach area. Upon it they've placed hammocks and four poster beds, all in stunning white. And it faces right across to an island, where sailboats and cruise hips pass by in the distance. The rooms are huge and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, like you're staying at their home. Highly recommend this place for those on a budget.

This hotel is a few minutes walk from the Corfu ferry and is right on the beach, although its a small pebbly town beach. Its also near to the bus station, though this is simply a crossroads from which buses leave at not very predictable times. Many restaurants are nearby along the sea front. The only problem we had was a lack of hot water one morning. the owner immediately agreed to fix this but we had to leave before this could be done.

Beautiful beach and wonderful, large, very clean rooms. Stayed here twice, in the residence and then the hotel. The standout was the service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Always easy to find and we’re happy to go out of their way to accomodate us. Even helped me after we had left as I left some important items in the room. Will be returning next summer for sure and cannot recommend this hotel enough. 10/10

First what I should tell you, Albania it is another world. You can learn how to relax not rush, and somebody want to help you for free inside their hearts. Tomi have time to ask you everyday how can help you, where are you planning to go. He show you the best way, he will go with you on the bus stop 10 minutes one way ( he lost 20 min), but he is smilling and happy that he can help. With Rino you can chat a lot of hours, drink a beer if you are sad. They show you good restaurant and give for free their times and advice. I am very happy that this week I spend myself in this hostel, I did not feel alone, and if I can I will stay longer. Really I miss about this people who learn me again: "People are more important, not money, do not rush, relax, keep your time."

Appartments Rai, Double room with Balcony. 3n Room as on picture, with a good sized balcony overlooking the steps towards the sea/Saranda town. Kitchenette small and could do with 1 extra smaller pot or kettle for boiling water as well as a small cupboard/table to work/cut on. Just ok for basic stuff. Bed mattress very firm. Hot water no problem but you need to run the water for a while. Wifi a bit weak. small flat screen tv, good aircon. Above a bar but only loud once during our 5 n stay when soccer/football was being played on screen. Short walk from/to town, beaches, shops and restaurants/cafe's. People with mobility issues better take the road iso the steps and be advised there is a set of stairs inside the building as well. Apartment was clean and the service provided by Raymond,Griet? and Margarite? very friendly and👍. Loved the smell early morning from the bakery just across the road . Apartments in a residential neighborhood, really enjoyed my stay and extended by 2n.

The owner was lovely who we met on the second day of our one night trip. I explained to her that whilst it said we would have a "sea view" from the balcony we had paid for, the new construction works under way meant we could hardly see the sea. She said they needed to put new photos up when it was all done. Whilst we were there, there was construction throughout the hotel, which did not make it a relaxing experience. The wifi did not work in the property, though I understand that is currently being fixed. The location is pretty reasonable, only 10 min walk from sea. It is hard to walk to Dhermi beach from the property. I couldn't find the bar or grill which was advertised in the description. Overall we left disappointed, and the description unfortunately did not accurately reflect the hotel we experienced. However, breakfast was good and the rooms were clean/roomy (though there were what appeared to be exposed wires in the bathroom).

Not so easy to find first time. Look for a sign on the main road for Mango Beach and turn down the hilly side road. 50 Metres turn right and a further 100 metres you’ll see the sign for the hotel and turn left down the final short steep hill. Plenty of parking in a lot adjacent to the hotel. As per the photographs on the hotel website it is beachfront with nothing between the hotel and the beach. The beachfront is rocky, as is most of it along Sarande seafront, but suitable for swimming and beach sunbeds are provided. Only a dozen or so so it could get busy but many people set off for the day to the coves between Sarande and Ksamil as we did so we never saw it busy. Hotel room pleasant bright room with balcony. Room and bedclothes very clean, no issues there. TV was old and had static apart from 1 Albanian channel. Luckily I didn’t want TV. Fridge worked ok as did a/c. Breakfast taken on beachside veranda. Nice setting but breakfast very very basic. Either juice or milk. Either omelette or bread with cheeses and jam. Thats is. Not cold meats, no cereals, not even the omelette WITH bread and jam. And no tea and coffee either. This let the hotel down as did the lack or anything to eat all day. No restaurant service if you do stay at their beach all day except for drinks. And no evening restaurant either. This is not the busy part of Sarande with lots of incomplete buildings around but the few restaurants nearby are all very good and just on the main road 200 metres walk away. ATM, nearest seemed Sarande and Sarande centre is not walkable. Its 3km along a sidewalk that isn’t made up or lit in parts. Good beachfront hotel but lack of breakfast and any other food options left it short.

This hotel is about a half hour walk out of town, and theres absolutely nothing else there. Its down a scruffy old track with half built properties all around. The hotel itself is a modern building of about 5 floors but has no lift. Its a long way up to the top floor ! Breakfast was poor and they charge extra for coffee so that was a bit disappointing. On the plus side the staff are trying very hard especially the cute girl on reception. This is a family run concern and they need to lean to speak some english, even the basics would be a start. The room was nice though, cllean and with a great view over the bay, just a shame about the rubbish all around. Its cheap but there are better hotels for this price in town.
