This hotel by the lake has fabulous views and kayaking is possible on the lake. There are several large pools. At the weekend the resort is very busy and noisy. They have loud music by the pools all the time and you can hear this in the rooms. We were in a room above reception and they are also very noisy with their chatting and loud music. The place was more peaceful on Monday. The breakfast has limited choice and it is not buffet. Our evening meal was good value though we did have to wait for nearly an hour for it to be prepared. The room was Ok although water was of for part of the evening. They provide a kettle and cups and so I do not understand why they provide no tea, coffee, creamer and sugar! You can buy bottled water in their shop. I think it is not too expensive and good value for money. The views are great and so very recommendable if you like a lot of noisy music and many children, especially at weekends.

Not the best experience. The saving grace is Ms. Melody at the reservation desk, who goes out of her way to help with the needs of hotel guests. If not for her, we would not have stayed there again because there are many things that needs to be improved in this hotel. For one, the cleanliness of the room. The first time we checked in, there was a dead cockroach in the CR which was already attacked by ants and the towels were already very old and brownish. To think we were in a higher end room. I didn't mind about the towels much because I always bring our own towels even if we stay in a 5-star hotel. The worst during that first stay was that the room was not made up when we got back at the hotel at 5pm! My husband and I went out very early to go to our field experiment. We were so in a hurry to leave at 7am that we left the room quite in chaos. It would have been nice to come back to a freshly made up bed and clean bathroom after a long day's work. When I called up housekeeping, their answer was "you did not leave instruction to clean the room!"... So it's not their SOP to clean the rooms everyday! Three months later, we stayed there again...because of Melody. I booked the executive suite hoping that it will leave up to its name. Again another disappointment! The cabinet below the sink was broken and would not close. Then the remote control of the aircon was not functional so had to call reception again. Turned out the batteries were already dead. We entered the room at 1 pm so it was so hot and then had to wait for the housekeeping to check the aircon and wait some more in the scorching room for the new batteries!...They should check that the rooms are in good condition before their guests arrive!
