Very good value for money”
Nice stay for two nights. Very affordable although located a few stations out of Kyoto. Hotel does provide a shuttle bus service to Kusatsu station. Bed and pillow a little too firm for my taste but otherwise the room was very good - clean and modern.

It was good to stay”
It has small but cozy room. Quite good room condition. Convenient services (they have shuttle bus for kusatsu station. from early morning to 10am and the night until 10pm). Free breakfast. However it has no sound proof. (If you have kids, i don't recommend to stay)

Hotel outskirts of Kyoto attractions”
The rooms are expectedly small but manageable. It is located outskirts of Kyoto attractions but reachable by JR train Kusatsu station. The hotel shuttle van can pick you up from the train station only after 3:00 pm. The check-in is strictly at 3:00pm or after. We arrived in the hotel at 2:00 pm and had to wait at 3:00 pm before we were allowed to check in and the hotel shuttle van will not pick us up at the train station before 3:00 pm. We had to take the taxi from the train station as the hotel is not walking distance from the station. The taxi cost from 700-900 yen one way. The best perk is the free breakfast buffett which consist of Japanese foods, breads, juice, etc. I suggest the hotel should have the pick up and drop off schedule all day and night to make this truly convenient to their customers.

location was really far from station but the hotel offers shuttle services which is good. Other wise it'll be a really long walk to the closest station. Room smells of cigarette and is really small. We mistaken the Reiah Otsu hotel (which was much closer to the station), so DO TAKE NOTE as there are TWO Reiah hotels.

Was thinking is it too far from kyoto? Answer is NO and I enjoy much staying here. Free shuttle service by hotel and pick up at JR station, waiting abt 6mins and 5mins drive to hotel only. Operation staffs all are very friendly and polite (japanese warm style) much better than those international one. convenience store and restaurants just opposite, food at night also availiable. I enjoy the free breakfast so much, miso soup, curry rice... japanese style and yummy. Free shuttle to station when check out. But keys must be kept at receiption when go out.

Nice hotel but a little too far”
This hotel looks new, so everything is clean and tidy. No TV channels available though, only pay-per-view channels (pay via vending machines in hotel). I was shocked initially when the hotel staff told me that I only booked for a single bed room for a single occupant only when I book for a single bed double occupant room! I guess it Agoda made a glitch as I remember well there were "2-occupant" icon when I booked the room in Agoda website. Lucky the staff offer me another room for 2 occupants, for a reasonable fee. I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. Apart from the check-in trouble i had earlier, I pretty much enjoyed my stay with my wife.

I worried about fullbook in Kyoto. It was sakura season. This hotel is far from in Kyoto.It takes 40ㅡ50 minites by my rent car. But this hotel is very comfortable. Room condition was very clean, free breakfast was delicious for my family(even my 22month son), large and free parking lot is good.

Pretty decent hotel ”
My wife and I spent 4 days in Kyoto. While this hotel is far from the main tourist attractions, they make up for it by providing us with free shuttle to the train station. The room is ok although we weren't able to set the aircon to cool - it was preset to warm. The free breakfast buffet, while simple, is good enough. Google maps see this as Hotel Daisho - I hope they change this soon.

Extra good hotel for the price. Located 20 min. Train from Kyoto, but the trains are frequent and efficient and the hotel offers a shuttle and is very nice about helping.

far from city”
The staffs are very friendly and they can give you free ride to and from the subway station. free breakfast eventhough my room didn't come with breakfast. It's an old hotel but the room is clean and nothing can beat the price! It is quite far from the city.

Cheap but too economic”
1. Lonely location : The hotel is 20 minutes far from train station on foot and the station is nearly 30 minutes far from Kyoto central. There is almost nothing to do around the hotel. Very small and far from both city central and Biwako lake. 2. Room is small and window has no meaning. However, it was cozy and clean. 3. I recommend future guest to add 50$ on your budget and stay on city central. 4. Staffs are very kind but some can't speak English well.

Good value, but a bit far from Kyoto”
The hotel is quite comfortable and has some nice extras (such as automatic washing and drying machines). Customer service is a definite plus. It is not conveniently located - it's a 20-minute walk from the train station, although they do provide free transportation to and from the train station if you request it - and breakfast is subpar.
