Very clean, zen hotel with helpful and friendly staff.”

The staff was very helpful with all my questions and made sure I updated my Marriott Bonvoy Account so I could get points for the stay. They even printed out the documents I needed for work. The bed was very comfortable and the room was perfectly appointed. The snacks and frozen meals selection was good. Gym had everything I needed. Pool was nice, although it looks at a highway as did my room. Luckily the windows are pretty sound proof so it was all very peaceful and zen.
The WiFi in my room was inconsistent - sometimes slow and sometimes dropped out, which is not a good thing when you're working. Also - the "restaurant" is really just a sports bar that doesn't open until 5 p.m. and wasn't what I thought it would be. The menu is very limited. One would have to drive to get food as the hotel isn't walking distance to any restaurants.

Overcharged, Needed Intervention”

The hotel is beautiful, the suite was spacious and my friend was very happy with her one night stay.
I was overcharged initially. The bill was $220, while my booking.com guarantee was $189 total. The hotel refused to match the price telling me that they do not have access to the system. Confusing to me, because they could retrieve my reservation, so why is it that they could not see my guaranteed price? I was asked to call booking.com customer service to resolve this. I did take my time and finally the issue was resolved by booking.com customer service representative.

I reserved a room with a King bed. Even confirmed it plenty of times. But when we got upstairs, we had a queen bed. By that time it was too late to change Bc my son was already wanting to go swimming. The next day, we go up to the room, and the keys don’t work. So we go back downstairs, speak to a lady at the front (blonde hair, accent), and her exact words were “We’re having a system issue, here you go”. And she handed me another card. So after standing there waiting for her, my son had to use the bathroom, and that’s all she had to say??? Was I inconveniencing her Bc I was locked out of my room??? That person has no business in the hospitality industry. The only bright light at this place was Nelson! Oh,,, and I was charged for 3 movies when we only ordered 2! Seeing as how the first one kept saying “loading” and resetting. So yeah, not good.

With covid, the breakfast selection was as good as it could be
I booked thru booking.com and there was no mention of the additional pet fee of $150. We spent one night and the pet fee was more than the room fee. Unexpected and ridiculously high.
