No complaint whatsoever about this hotel for its great value! The location is excellent, near the shopping district, steps away from major department stores and the underground mall, close to all sorts of restaurants. The on-site parking offer nice convenience on our trip. The price is lower than most in the area, and the room size is quite large for business hotels in Japan. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Very satisfying stay overall, and will definitely return if staying in the same area.

Great location”
Staff very respectful and nice. When we requested for more coffee the staff would treat the request with utmost priority like they will be rushing back to their supply room and come back with items requested. Location is very convenient and near subway and the nishitetsu bus and train lines. We once walked from Canal city to our hotel about 10mins or so. Room was clean and had a bath tub. Room included a handyphone which we did not use as it had no mobile hotspot capability. We stayed at the 7th flr and there is a room at the 8th floor with vending machines, a microwave and an ice station where we will stop by each night to get ice before heading to our room. Hotel was very proximate to Daimaru (5mins walk), Mitsukoshi (7mins walk), Parco (8mins walk), Don Quijote (10mins walk) 1st Ichiran store (15 min walk) . There were nearby Family mart and starbucks shops as well about 3mins from the hotel. The only thing that bothered me though minor is that they do not provide bottled water unlike the typical hotels where we have stayed in whether in Japan or other countries but overall I am very satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend this to anyone who plans on visiting Fukuoka for a few days.

One of the best stays in Japan”
The hotel is in a great location (10-15mins walk from Tenjin station). Bus station is also close to the hotel so you can travel to different parts of the city easily. The staff are nice and communicable with English. The room is just standard size in Japan but it's clean and comfortable to stay in. We would definitely stay in this hotel again if we happen to come to Fukuoka.

Great Hotel at Great Location”
I stayed at the hotel for one night and it was a very satisfying stay. The location is right at the middle of Tenjin area and you are close to everything - shops, restaurants and bus terminal. Room is clean and equipped with comfortable amenities. I will recommend to everyone.

Richmond Hotel Fukuoka Tenjin”
I was pleasantly surprised staying at Richmond Hotel Fukuoka Tenjin. Its location is great, besides major department stores, shops, convenience stores, and restaurants. It is also close to the subway. What surprised me is that they provide a smart phone with LTE/4G mobile data on loan while your checked in at the hotel. It allows you to search for things while on the go, use google maps, make unlimited calls (to certain countries), and even post and upload photos on your social media. I would definitely stay here again, if I happen to be in Fukuoka!

Swift check-in/out with friendly staff”
We planned a 5nights/4days trip to Fukuoka with our 3yr old and hotel hopped at three hotels; and I'd say Richmond was one of the best! It was the only hotel that offered kids amenities (including slippers which my toddler loved). The check-in was swift and location was great! It has easy access to the subway stations with escalators. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is the best hotel so far i have stay in Japan, super value for money, and location is a step to the underground shopping and access to metro, train, bus although the size is small but in Japan is decent size, super clean and very helpful staff, can ask for for, great breakfast

Awesome stay at Richmond Hotel Fukuoka Tenjin”
Great service staff. The room is always well groomed. Fully automated. I just had a hard time using my key card (user issues). The hotel is near the food stalls and the malls are all around. Bus station is around the corner and 10 mins walk to the train station. Walking distance to the Canal city and Don Quixote.

We are sorry to hear that you were in trouble in using room key. In March this year we renewed function of room key. Right now the door is opened very smoothly if you just place your room key on the panel near door knob. You do not have to insert key into door knob any more. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, stores, department stores around the hotel. It is quite easy to get there from here. Good location. Hotel was at the center of shopping and restaurants. The hotel price is cheap. And our rooms were always clean with complete amenities. Will definitely go back to Richmond Hotel. It made our stay at Fukuoka memorable. ☺

Excellent location ”
This is a business hotel. The staff speak really good English a necessity as we speak no Japanese. The staff are helpful, you are in the centre of Tenjin if all the restaurants and shops any one could possibly need. There is a restaurant on site as well. It's only a 2000 yen taxi journey to the airport. We have used this hotel several times and never had a problem.

Perfect Location and room size”
Size of the room was good enough for 3 of us me my wife and my 1year old boy. It was very convenient since very near from the Tenjin shopping street. Room was clean.

Richmond hotel”
We I only stayed 1 night but such a delight. Full sized bathroom with a lovely tub. Big double bed that you. Could actually walk around three sides which has not been the case in numerous hotels we've stayed at in japan. Very central position. We paid extra for a buffet breakfast which was fabulous, 1500 yen each. Would gladly go back to this hotel.

location and the hospitality of the staff are the bright spots of this hotel. its location lies in the heart of tenjin and just a few meters away from the nishitetsu bus terminal, but occupies a quiet area that is surrounded by malls, convenience stores, restos and fastfood joints. the room size is pretty standard for japan but they take pains to keep it well cleaned. the reception staff are extremely helpful and they do their best to cheerfully accomodate requests and inquiries. i will look forward to my next stay here. kudos and keep up the good work

Large Room, Good Location”
This hotel has more large room than one of other hotel. So it's comport to stay in the room. And the place that hotel is located is good to go to the tenjin subway and visit various store. I think that staying in this hotel is choice not to be bad.
