The location was perfect, whilst not directly linked to the train station, it is just a short walk away and there is Max Value and 7-11 nearby as well! The facilities are excellent, there is a lounge where we had our supper and there were drinks available, in addition there are vending machines on the ninth floor that sold cup noodles as well :) There are washing machines available which is payable for 300 yen :) Lastly, for the ladies they even had a care pack that includes a mask, hair tie and various creams. Fantastic staff, room that is clean and spacious enough to open 2 medium sized luggage as well!

Superb Value for Money on location, staff service and amenities”
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and was impressed with the value I got from my stay. I paid about USD50 per night for this business class hotel and will definitely returns owing to its superiority on: 1) location - the hotel is located just a mere 500m from the Yamagata train station and regional inter-city bus station (to Sendai, Zao Onsen, Kaminoyama). The hotel is also near to numerous eatery outlets and just sits next to a local supermarket (Max Value) and convenience store (7-11). In addition, it is about 1km away from the Kajo Park & Castle, Yamagata museum and Museum of Art; 2) staff service - staff at reception speaks fair amount of English to enable effective communication; in addition they are very helpful to address my travel needs eg. helping to call a travel agent to book Zao Snow Mobile which could only be booked via phone in local language; 3) amenities like self service laundry, vending machine and even a smart phone for making local calls and internet connection

We were family of four with 2 kids, 9 and 11. We booked this quadruple room with 3 single beds and 1 sofa bed. Very good size and spacious. Room comes with a massage chair, first time I saw in a hotel. We can have a good massage after a day out 😜 Breakfast is pretty standard and this hotel provides free flow of drinks till 12 midnight in their cafe. Proximity to train station, convenience mart and supermarket. Cheers

We received a warm welcome upon arrival to the hotel. This was my family's first visit to Yamagata so I sent an email prior to my trip inquiring about sightseeing. On the night we arrived, a folder with printed information and hand-written notes was delivered to my room. It was much appreciated! The room itself was clean, modern and spacious and the massage chair was used every day. There was a free soft drink bar on the 2nd floor and we were loaned umbrellas on a rainy day. Parking at the hotel was convenient and the close proximity to the train station and adjacent mall was unbeatable. This is a self-proclaimed no frills hotel that far exceeded our expectations with staff who went above and beyond.

Very friendly staff, multi level automated car park, spacious room with a massage chair in the room which was a big bonus after hours driving in icy roads, good location near the jr train station . Breakfast was above average. We had a relaxing night in this hotel. Nothing to complain about. Will go back.

Excellent accommodation ”
This was an excellent accommodation with nice staff (can speak English), nice location (near 24hr supermarket and 3 minutes walking from JR). There are lounge (providing free drinks) on lobby floor, coins washing machines on 3rd floor and some vending machines on 9th floor. It would be great if there were more washing machines cause there are only 4. We found all full at first night so we went there earlier on the second night. But overall this hotel was great.

Everything is perfect but weird noise. ”
Everything is perfect except the weird noise. I stayed in the 8th floor. There were some weird noise like someone blows the horn beside your room. The noise were very annoying. It happened from time to time. I guess it was the noise of water and steam vapor mixture in the piping system. When people take a bath you will hear it.

Great but staff have minimal english”
Great facilities, has a free drink corner in the cafe area at the lobby. Have everything we needed in the room but when we called reception for a refill, they could not understand a single word we said. Had to go to the reception in person in the end to show them what we wanted.
