2nd Riu Stay ”
I enjoyed my second stay just as much as the first. They were on top of it with cleaning the rooms each day, lots of options for food and drinks! What more could you ask for. The staff and entertainment was great they know how to have a good time here. Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone that asked. It’s close to activities and outside restaurants if you want to try more.

RIU has a warm and friendly staff. Everything was very clean. The food in the buffet was always delicious, but the food in the restaurants could be better. I didn't find it to be that tasty. I guess I was just expecting them to surpass the buffet experience and they didn't. Kudos to the Live Entertainment Staff!! They were great and planned very fun activities. Beautiful rooms, beaches, and pools. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the RIU. My one recommendation: Please offer some vegan soups and protein/ meat substitutes on the menu ( ex. Veggie burgers, organic tofu, Beyond Meat). It's my only reason I could'nt give 5 stars! And If you can, get a massage with Desaray at the Renova Spa on the property. She was great!

It's a good hotel when travelling with children-our 2 year old loved the game room and splash pool. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment and the food. The room was clean and modern.

Super Great Deal For Luxury ”
RIU Ocho Rios is one of the best Resorts I have been to in many years. The staff is super awesome, there are lots of different restaurants to choose from and the food is great. The location is perfect, about 10 minutes from downtown Ocho Rios with many different attractions a stone throw away. The hotel property is fantastic, one of the best on the Island and the rooms are impeccable. The beach stretches about 0.5 miles and it is such a relaxing place to spend your day. RIU Ocho Rios is the best place for anyone looking for luxury coupled with fun.

Great resort, great food, great staff!”
We loved our ocean front junior suite, we loved the staff, the food (fresh fruit variety, American food, and traditional jamaican dishes) the location, the beach is clean pristine and massive, our best trip ever! Close to many adventures! Tipping is optional, however it is what many workers rely on to make enough to feed their families, I highly encourage it! I also recommend buying local when in town Ocho Rios, not the foreigner shops that do very little for the local population.

Amazing with a few minor bumps ”
Our stay at Riu was amazing starting from checking in with jhavani he was very nice and always kept a professional attitude. It was a pleasure to deal with him. The lady at guest service wasn’t really nice to deal with. She seemed over worked. The pool area was nice with multiple pools I wish there was an adult only section thou. The life guards were friendly and accommodating. Odane and Shanton helped us find the water slides. There were other life guards that were nice and helped us out but sadly I didn’t get their names. The entertainment team really kept us grooving. They were all very polite and knowledgeable. The Italian restaurant was horrible the food was thrown on the plate and tasted horrible. Gladly the buffet was open and we were able to get a decent plate of food. We looked forward to breakfast every morning and looked for Odane he was such a delight to deal with and a supervisor name Roxaine she was always nice and gave a helping hand to her staff. The mandalin restaurant was our favorite we had a server name Jerome and he was so nice he made our dining service so pleasant we continued to eat there. There was a chef name Amara that was very nice and went above and beyond. Thank you Riu for an amazing experience The bell boys could use a little retraining on ethnics. The bartenders were a little too forward and tried desperately to find a woman. It was flattering at first but it started to become very annoying.

Beautiful Hotel and Location”
We received a complimentary upgrade to a full ocean view even though we booked a partial ocean view. The location was incredible. We loved it. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The beach was warm and the sand was soft. There were lots of great attractions nearby, such as Dunn's River Falls, Mystic Mountain, Blue Hole, and the luminous bay (Chris Jamaica Tours can take you to all). We can't wait to go back!

We had a blast, every staff we encountered were super helpful and friendly. From Orville at the bar, to Stafari in the Italian restaurant. Talia, Arlene and Sheryl G in the restaurant helped make my trip amazing. Olivia at the Front desk had a great personality. Zoey from entertainment was full of vibes and energy. I stayed at the resort for 5 days and it did not disappoint. The staff was amazing and always had a smile on their face when speaking with them, my room was cleaned daily and the activities were always on point in the evenings. I can’t wait to book my next vacation I will definitely be staying here again

Not a whole lot going on (less visitors) given Covid travel restrictions. Rooms are pretty decent and the beach is nice. Food was ok. I've been here many times in the past and the food selection was better. Now with less folks i guess they have to limit the selections but it was still good overall. Staff is great!

The Riu Ocho Rios is awesome!! Beautiful place and the services are awesome! We are here simply because we had airline tickets we had to use or lose, coronavirus or not. So glad we decided to come here. Money well spent!!

We had a great time at the Riu Ocho Rios! The food is amazing, the staff is awesome, the night time activities were great, and there was something to do for everyone (we were with kids ranging from 1-17). The resort offered plenty of pool and bar areas and has done a nice job with their covid-19 measures. Getting tested on the resort was super easy. We loved our stay!
