I’m definitely coming back. Unlimited food and drinks. What made me love the place the MOST were the workers! EVERYBODY was friendly. THE BEST. And yes I love MOMO. She was the best. Made my visit amazing

Honeymoon Travelers ”
We picked this hotel based on reviews. They have 3 properties in the bundle. We were there on our honeymoon. The location was great. Only 15mins from the airport. We liked that you could go to the other 2 properties to eat and hang out. Shout out to the Tricia at the lobby bar. Her drinks were the best in the entire hotel. Almundo at the Krystal restaurant, Stone at the buffet always has a smile on her face and is very welcoming. Dora, Rhianna and Mr Fun Fun kept us well entertained. The maid service was always on point. For some reason, we couldn't get comfortable in our room. We stayed for 5 nights. The thermostat always kept it cold. We also didn't like the fact that there was no dividing wall for the bathroom and the bed area... no privacy in the room. The food is mediocre. The restaurants are very small and we waited an average of 2 hours to eat unless we went to the buffet, in which they serve most of thr same food daily. One night we ate away from the resort just for the change. They also don't serve food at the beach. That was very disappointing for us. The taxis are also overpriced. I'd suggest walking to the main road and get a taxi for half the price. They have events planned daily and it would be nice to have an itinerary so you know the days/times the events are happening. We missed an event due to be on an excursion. We would have rather done the event at the hotel. Overall, I'd give it a 7 out of 10. I would like to try another hotel next time.

Keeping COVID19 environment in mind as I do this rating. Overall great experience. Very impressed with the staff's commitment to sanitization and enforcing mask rules Customer Service: 5/5 ( shout out to Camille from JamaTours the best person to arrange any excursions) Facilities: 5/5 Food: 3/5 ( lacked variety and wasn't tasty) Ambiance: 4/5 ( it's close to airport so you hear planes during the afternoon) Location: 4/5

The RIU palace is very very good, nothing is specifically bad nor is it amazing.”
Overall impression: I had a great experience at the Riu palace the staff and service was really really good, I haven’t been to other resorts but I would say it’s great for the price. I would go back! Pros: Service was great, the room was clean, the pools and beach were awesome. Cons: The drinks tasted watered down, the man made rock cove took away from the scenery, the food was good not great, the room wasn’t luxurious but it was clean and in good condition.

We were very disappointed by the room when we first got there. It smelled like cigarettes and there were holes in the sofa etc. The only thing that kind of made up for these things was the food at the resort. The buffet was great and so were the smaller dinner restaurants. Drinks also kept flowing. The resort is really close to the airport but the beach in front of it was not great. We would only go back for the food!

Pros: Rooms were sparse but very clean, no niceties like little bottles of shampoo or lotion. The bartenders and dining room servers were very friendly. Cons: There were no blankets in the room only sheets on the bed and it was cold overnight. there is no way to adjust the thermostat and had to request a blanket the next day. I stayed there for a week and there was hot water for showering only two of those days. There were no coffee pots in the room and I had to request it and it took two days to get both the coffee pot and coffee for it. They have no floaties or lifejackets for you to borrow. Although I got a good deal for what I paid, I would not have expected this to be a five-star resort, and felt it was uncomfortable compared to my own apartment.

The RIU Palace in Montego Bay is expensive. I don’t mind paying if the facilities and accommodations live up to the cost. In this case, I felt that I paid 4 star rates for a 2.5 or 3 star place. The food was disappointing- yams that were under-cooked, pasta so thick it was gummy, and nothing was seasoned with true Jamaican flavors, with the exception of the escovitch for the fish. The staff were all nice and the entertainers - especially Sparky, Buttercup, and Puppytail were the highlight. The room was alright. The furniture was a bit beat up.

Girls Trip”
We had an amazing time. Luckily with us being at the Palace. We had access to both Montego Bay and Reggae. Danaine, Kemar, Archer, Richard, Dean, Michael, ( Ti’Andre & Shantel from Reggae). There are a few more but it was so hard to keep track of the names after all the drinking lol but all these guys did amazing in making sure we were having fun and also to make sure they accommodated us all. So literally cheers to them all. Also the food I would recommend giving more Jamaican food options but the food was good over all. The beach was very clean. Little to no seaweed. And I would recommend playing more music at a louder volume. Not too loud. But we’re all on vacation so music always gets people into a better mood.

Pros: Adults only, Access to all three properties, All you can eat food and drink, authentic cuisine, Great night club atmosphere, Staff was very accommodating. Cons: Bathroom partition not in every room. Very awkward if you’re traveling in a group or not with your significant other.
