Riu Palace Tropical Bay Jamaica ”
This resort was really nice. Staff were all very attentive. Rooms and common areas were very clean. I appreciated that everyone very conscious of social distancing efforts. Great get away. Was not aware that tipping was encouraged until I saw the tip jars. Other resorts I've visited, openly tipping was discouraged. But this was in no way a draw back, I was just unaware upon my arrival.

Exceptional”
The food was not the best. Hotel was very clean. You’ll have to know to ask for a first floor room if you can’t do stairs because there is no elevators. We had to ask for a room change which we got the next day. There was no one to meet us when we came in. We got our bags ourselves. Check in was easy

The staff was super friendly, attentive and helpful. The location is perfect, a short 5 min drive from Margaritaville and about a 12 min drive to Ricks Cafe. The food was really good for resort food. Staff indifference ”
We came to Jamaica for the second time and chose Riu Palace Negril because of location! Last year we stayed in another Riu Hotel, but didn’t like the sea bottom because it was covered with the seaweed! Here, the sea is amazing- crystal clear water, clean bottom! BUT the staff! They could have been more friendly and responsive! The most disappointing experience happened when I went to the gym! I forgot my water and while working out came to the water cooler, took the paper glass, poured some water and drank it! The next thing what happened was my biggest fear - it was not water, after that I noticed there was the notice on the cooler - do not drink! Yes, it was my bad, I didn’t pay attention and I was responsible for that! But who would put something like cleaning liquid in the bottle for cooler, except for water-where it is supposed to be water! But this is not what hurt me the most! Next, I rushed to the spa and asked the lady who worked there what was in the cooler, I wanted to know if that was something poisonous and if I had to take any medication or to see the doctor! She said that they were NOT responsible for gym and the water there! Then I reached the reception and asked for the manager, explained everything and she wanted to connect me to the spa because she said they were responsible for the water there, I rejected and after that she promised to call me back whenever she figured out the situation. Two hours passed and no one called! I called again, the manager was not there and I talked to another person and explained the same situation and he promised to call me back later! Nobody called the next day neither. I came the next day to the reception and the man told me it could have been the prank because no one would put any other liquid in the cooler and any notice on it as well. So was that funny? I don’t think so. Did I get any apology? Never.

Beach boys/ music/ food ”
No beach boys around to help you find a sun chair we had to find one and pull it all the way by ourselves Disco music not for every one, the reggae section was much more for the staf than for everyone, no lovers music that couples could dance. Could be more Jamaican food at breakfast

Amazing place to celebrate Anniversary ”
The beach was impeccable. The buffets had wide varieties of food to choose from. The gym was top notch. Water sports were really fun. All the staff were extremely pleasant, courteous and helpful. Staying at this hotel gave access to Riu Negril also which had a better pool bar but if you prefer the beach then this hotel is the perfect choice.

Great property, very friendly staff, beautiful (and long) beachfront, beautiful sunsets, free unpowered water sports, catamaran snorkeling and tours, fishing and scuba trips right from property (very convenient.) We had a great experience: sailed a Hobie Cat 3 days. drove a pedal-boat, took their catamaran tour (right from the property, boat not crowded like other off-site tours) to snorkel, swim in a water cave, enjoy Rick’s Cafe (didn’t dive off the cliffs tho), enjoyed the swim-up bar (and pool lounges with plenty of shade), beach lounges so close on the property, enjoyed 4 very tasty a la cart restaurants (great service and food but get there early), lots of all inclusive bars (but bring lots of cash for tips-they deserve it), very quiet property (with the best friendly/helpful staff). My first time here, many guests we talked to have been coming back 10-20 times, we will eventually be one of them…

An Absolutely amazing place to celebrate your love. The cleanliness of the room is a 10 out of 10. The staff was very professional and polite. Just a lovely getaway place for fun and relaxation.🥰
