            Excellent stay ”

            Came up for one night with no real expectations but what a lovely place. The room was lovely with a four poster bed, roll top bath and a great location. Staff so nice and friendly. Wished we had booked for longer but it was just a flash visit but would recommend to anyone.

            Very disappointed ”

            Potentially a lovely site, spoiled by lack of attention to detail. Website states £5.00pp for breakfast, we were quoted £15.00pp, reduced to £7.50 on querying. Breakfast was a poor DIY affair. On request we were seemingly grudgingly provided with more coffee sachets. The whole event came across as amateurs trying to run hospitality.

            Great location but a bit tired”

            Perfectly located to explore the beautiful Ribble valley. Unfortunately the room we stayed in needs a lot of work and a deep clean. The fan we were given was broken, and the windows have been sealed shut so it was like sleeping in a sauna. The bathroom light flickers, so you can’t be in there for long. The bath robes provided were dirty. Don’t think the breakfast hamper is an option anymore, and the local cafe doesn’t open until 10am. Bed was comfortable and clean, and it was super quiet. Complimentary sandwiches were appreciated. Two min walk to the river bank. All in all I felt we were overcharged given the problems with the room.
