Pros: near to city centre and piccadilly station. Good for emergency overnight stay. Cons: - hygiene issue: smelly room carpets, sinks clogged. Changed room but that sink was also clogged. -free internet only for 20min (then you have to buy subscription from Virgin internet for £7 per day) -poor mobile phone signal reception inside room -no drinking water bottle supplied in the room. -dodgy location: lots of low grade bars and pubs nearby with people fighting outside -i saw a guy peeing on the footpath outside hotel. -in short, my worst ever stay in a hotel while booking through agoda so far.

Rubbish”

The room they gave us had no windows and was Hot. it reminded me of a bed and breakfast. That hopefully gives pause, with the price they charge. We had to pay to move to a normal type of room. Not impressed and would never stay here if it was the only hotel in Manchester that had rooms. These hotels are about maximizing revenue with no respect to paying staff.

I spent one night in this hotel and after left in the morning I realised that I had forgotten something in my room....my phone charger to be more precise. I called the hotel many times over the next couple of days to inquire about the forgotten object and every time I was told they would have to call me back a bit later. They never did. I went to the hotel a few days later and I was told that they had never found the charger. Now, a new charger cost me £2 so the money was never an issue here. It's a matter of principle.You don't keep what you find in a hotel room. Make sure you don't leave anything behind when you check out. If they kept a charger that costs £2, I can only believe they would also keep a more valuable object. The location might be great, the bed might be super comfortable, but for me one's character is more important.

Great Hotel in Manchester ”

This is s nice hotel located in central Manchester. This hotel allows pets and our dog was very comfy. Many restaurants nearby. The street car station is very near. There is a street food market nearby. Lots of great shopping nearby. The area is very busy at night with a lot of people drinking. I found this very lively area fun. We noticed a wet spot on the carpet outside of the bathroom in the evening. The next morning the wet spot had grown tremendously. Obviously a water leak. When I reported this to management theý immediately changed our room while the maintenance guy came to look. I was impressed that they changed our room without a fuss. The new room was nicer too. I highly recommend this hotel. The only downside is parking. You must park your car at a city lot which is a 7 minute walk. The fee is £10 for 24 hours which is quite reasonable for the UK. We loved Manchester.

Perfect Location”

I was there on my honeymoon and was given a free upgrade. The room is spacious and really confortable for us. The location of the hotel is just perfect as it is near the Picadilly train station and shopping is just next door. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would really love to come back.

Britannia sachas hotel is in a great location close to most things you will need. The hotel is a little bit tired and could do with a bit of money spent on it also the water pressure in the shower isn't very good which is a bit annoying but aside from that everything else was acceptable.

They do not allow check in even before 15 mins to 14.00 hours, they claim that breakfast would start at 7 am but till 7.25 am the door of the restaurant was locked from inside so I had to leave to take my train on time. Only location is good.

Cheap and cheerful”

This is a great hotel with a fab location . Hotel is run down but if you see it online for a cheap price it’s ideal. Cheap and cheerful, no thrills. If your planning a trip and just want a clean bed and a roof then book here . If you want Hilton quality , book the Hilton.

Not bad”

Literally just needs a little upgrade on the carpets and curtains and maybe some paint apart from that it’s a brilliant hotel smack bang in the centre for excellent money and smoking rooms. I will definitely be coming back :)

Proper Stay”

The room is fine and silent, location is perfect, hot water running. I got what I need in a good price. The entryway is kinda hard to find, but overall that was a good experience for my first UK travel.

Central but hotel decor is dated!”

Pro's - Good for 1 or 2 night stay, right in the centre of Manchester and therefore short walk from Manchester Piccadilly station, room was nice and clean, breakfast was very nice, lots of choice and good variety! Con's - First thoughts, i had stepped back in time! The decor is really old and dated!! Lobby area is very old looking and desperately needs new fresh carpet, or remove the carpet altogether for the modern look and fresh lick of paint in public areas and all the bedrooms! Note - There is no wifi in the rooms! Only in public areas ie lobby and breakfast area. Also the spa facilities from looking through a window, it looked clean but again very dated inside. Also the charge (although small), hotel guests shouldn't be charged extra! Hotel cost was very well overpriced but it was the cheapest available for the Mothers Day Weekend!

Great location but dated”

Great location hotel but very 1980’s style hotel. Not the nice 80’s, the tacky 80’s in my opinion. Good value and breakfast was great. Staff were helpful and friendly. We had window room but may have struggled without it. Great choice for a central budget hotel. Don’t read too much into the poor reviews, it’s seriously not that bad.

Please don't go to this hotel, it's a miserable hotel to go. Any hotel with the name Britannia is a no go. They are absolutely ridiculous. No aircon, no internet, broken tap, dirty hotel, badly trained staff, bunk bed, smelly bathroom.

Relaxing break to see family ”

There is building work next door, but I was out most of the time so it did not bother me,used the gym Which could of benefited from air conditioning,and water fountain in the gym, in stead of having to walk to the changing room to get water, the reception staff a woman not very welcoming.

Excellent value for the money”

Having read lots of dreadful reviews about this hotel making the choice to go to this hotel looked like a gamble. There is hardly another place in the world where you will find so much value for the money, period. About cleanliness for example, the lobby is impeccable, my room the same and the bathroom can't be cleaner and is very well equipped BTW (plenty of towels). The bed is super comfortable, the staff very helpful and, icing on the cake, the hotel places you right in the center of the beautiful Manchester. Can't get more value for the money, absolutely impossible.

the staff were very friendly. was upgraded to room with window as son was suffering fatigue and nausea and claustrophobia. very friendly staff. building spacious does need decorating and a scrub. the spa facilities very welcoming. lovely breakfast. fantastic location. definitely will be back. would Defo recommend a room with window. I feel the price I paid for the night £75 inc breakfast was far too overpriced. . I would of been happy paying no more than £60.

Fantastic”

Compared well to the other options available when trying to get a room, at short notice, on a Saturday night in central Manchester. The room was comfortable and as described on the website (i.e. windowless). However, the room was very warm with no ventilation. A fan was supplied, which helped a little, but the air con wasn't working.

terrible. frush toilet's broken. dirty. there are the telephone rings from another room many times. I can't sleep so I put the telephone away. They call me because they thought I was their friends. moreover, there is a man knocked my door. He thought this was his room. I couldn't imagine if I had stayed this hotel alone, what would have happened?
