Sweltering Room”

Nice hotel but room 140 on the coldest night of the year so far was sweltering. Early in the evening I turned down the thermostat as low as possible and went off to eat. There was no change in the temperature when I went to bed and I ended up standing beside an open window at approximately 1.30am. It was an hour or so later when I eventually succeeded in sleeping. When I mentioned this at the desk the following morning I was told the individual temperature controls for a particular group of rooms in a cold part of the hotel could not be changed. As I pointed out, if you're cold, you can wrap up more, but if you're too hot above the bed linen, there's nothing you can do. There was no suggestion of any recourse. My room rate was €99 per night. I'm quite annoyed at Agoda too as I was convinced I was paying €88 right up to the moment I paid. Regardless of the rate, I'm not happy that the Irish custom of receiving breakfast as part of the deal seems to be a thing of the past

There is no shuttle service to and from Cork airport. There might be jam on the road in the morning and in the evening. That is, the taxi fare can be expensive than expected.

The hotel is beautiful but I did not have a good experience due to noise late into the night .”

I traveled from Athlone for a conference being held at another hotel so that I could avoid having to leave from my home at 4am to be in time for the conference and hoped that I might be better rested The noise from the after party of a wedding being held at the hotel was so bad outside my window that I was forced to ring reception to see if something could be done at 3am, a manager was sent out to deal with the situation but the noise continued for at least another hour. I fell asleep shortly after 4am and was woken by my alarm at 6.30am so that I could get up, have breakfast and be in time to attend my conference at 8am. Upon checking out at 7.45am I mentioned to the receptionist on duty the situation from the previous night which she said she was aware of and her solution was to offer me a cup of coffee. A manager was supposed to contact me later that day but has not yet don't so.

Just one night stay - business Travel. Hotel in general excellent - rooms - food - cleanliness etc but in general not a warm welcome. Throughout the facility staff were not to the standard I was expecting. Sometimes you would find in a hotel possibly some staff members not to be friendly however this seemed to be the case throughout the hotel. Would not choose this hotel in future as in my experience other hotels in the area are a cut above this.

Room backed onto retail park car park which youths gathered in at night . Bed had stains on cloth frame and room service menu sticky with food

Nice but far from activities”

Outside of the hotel restaurant, there’s no place close to dine other than a KFC and Subway. Nice hotel, but next time I’d pick something closer to the main town in Cork

A great option in Cork”

This hotel is conveniently located just outside Cork city. The staff are excellent and the hotel itself is clean and spacious. Food was great with a buffet breakfast offering a wide selection of dishes and the bar menu and room service were great also.

A little out of the centre but not a problem as there was a local train less than 10 minutes away with a 7 minute ride into the centre. Also meant exploring by car both sides of Cork was easy due to the proximity 1 minute away of the dual carriageway. Very good food and excellent service With an indoor swimming pool a spa and a play park (not large) for the kids facilities were good

Great hotel well situated in Cork”

Great hotel and staff. Greeting was very professional, room was excellent, quiet and functional. Food was delicious and bar had a great barbarity of drinks and beer on tap. Bar / restaurant staff very friendly and outgoing. Spa is excellent!!! Will definitely stay here again in the near future.
