Big & Comfort Room”

Overall, i is good experience for us to stay Here. The room is all good quality and condition, not forgetting the room space also very big . There is balcony for us to hangout and chit chat with my frens. The pool is small but they is nice view can be seen from the pool side! Nice & Beautiful Hotel !

Fantastic”

Nice hotel. Great view. Good design. Very friendly staff. Not expensive. Good restaurant. Nit-picks. The wifi was very weak and I had no hot water in my room. Some Koreans coming back late at night were very noisy.

amazing little paradise!”

the room we got is a standard room. nice tv and aircon and has a spacious terrace with a clear view of the swimming pool and beach view. the staff very friendly and accomodating. place much suited for a quiet stay but still has access to restaurants and boats for island hopping.. been staying here for years and it always improve from the last stay. thanks steps!

Acceptabil”

Booked a suite room but we were so disappointed as the air conditioning unit is not working. The staff who cleaned the room at around 12:00 noon already know that it is not working and yet they still give the room to us. I also noticed that we are the only Filipino guest on that day but all the other rooms have no problem or issue. The water pressure in the sink is stronger than the shower. The WiFi is not working. No telephone in the room so you have to go through the stairs if you need anything from the staff.

Labour week Vacation in Sabang ”

My son and I went to Puerto Galera over the labour week for vacation of about 4 days and we stayed at Steps Garden Resort. I must say that we both enjoyed our stay there. Our room was really nice, very up to date, new and has complete amenities. Being a city girl, I found our room more than expected. Although our room is fronting a local basketball court, it was ok for us. The pool area is also nice. We got to swim one time and had our dinner there. The staff is very courteous and professional. They were all friendly and very helpful with our needs. We also had the chance to try their food in their Tamarind Restaurant. Although we had to wait for about 50 minutes, we definitely loved the food especially the grilled chops. To assure that you get a table, you should reserve ahead because they are usually jampacked. The staff in the restaurant were also attentive and they have great service. The hotel also has reliable contacts if you want to have an island hopping or land tour.

I like the privacy”

Spacious room (Executive) with a spacious balcony overlooking the ocean that's exactly what I wanted for a lazy and relaxing vacay. That is if you get a higher room, but be prepared to climb up the stairs for a workout. Cottages provide a superb privacy. The resort's mini swimming pool is just right for a relaxing swim. We had tasty breakfast. Quite satisfied with not only how clean our room was, but also the surroundings. Eight minutes walk down the hill where our room is located are multiple bars and restaurants which provide and serve variety of western and asian food. Whether you are a diver or a night person or both, but also wants to have a relaxing privacy, the resort is perfect for you. If you are a person who likes beach activities, the resort is definitely not for you. However you can hire a boat to get to the nearby beaches. If you are a traveller with a car, you might have a problem with parking. Walkway to the resort is terrible, but the resort is worth the walk.

My stay here was really awesome. I traveled with my buddy and I did not expect really much with this cheap resort. The room is not spacious at all but it has unique charm. The food here is really nice but bit pricy, Overall my stay is excellent

Superb stay!”

Love the resort, though it's far from the white beach. The place is nice and quiet surrounded by their beautiful landscaping. We have our own veranda. They change the towels when you leave their resort and you'll come back with a fresh new one. Celebrated my birthday here. We are definitely coming back!

WIFI didn't work, power went out several times, roads going to Sabang have 100,000 POTHOLES!!”

Overall this is a pretty good resort with a nice pool and nice location. The aircon worked well, the TV was modern and could allow HDMI & USB connections which was a PLUS and the refrigerator was a good size. PROBLEMS: The WIFI didn't work at all for 3 days/3 nights. I had to go to the town to buy pocket WIFI which was expensive. Also, the power went out at the resort 2-3 times per days, often for 30 minutes or more each time, once for over an hour. The resort does have a power generator of some kind, but there were times when the power was out for over an hour. The resort did give us a free breakfast on the last day which didn't excuse the above problems, but it was a nice gesture. There were several PROBLEMS WITH THE AREA of SABANG, which has nothing to do with the resort. There are no longer any ferries going to/from Sabang. There were a limited number of ferries going to/from Muelle and Balatero. The roads going from the town center to Sabang are the ABSOLUTE WORST!!

The newly reburbished rooms are roomy and well appointed. Pool area has sun lounges as well as sitting area with tables and chairs in a bar area. Locating great and all the staff very friendly and obliging.

You have everything what you need for your holiday time. This is 3 visit in Steps Garden.Wonderful staff, beautiful area with a lot of greens and diverse shops on the corner. Clean and relaxing ..Form us 5 stars.

Room with a view”

Nice location with a beautiful view on the bay. Restaurant is ok, mostly targeting westerners and filipinos. Other restaurants are available in the vicinity. Friendly staff. Charging for shampoo, toothbrush, water, which is unusual in the Philippines even in a cheap hotel. Room are functional but have no charm. Those with balconies offer a very nice view.

Very nice hotel in Sabang beach”

Just a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal. We got a big room with a fabolous view. The bed was nice, a/c silent, big bathroom with enough water. A pretty big terrace with a sofa, a chair and a table. Their pool was very nice and no fight for the sun chairs. Pretty pricy ,but good food. Friendly staff. We got free exercise every day, 100 steps up to the room. Well maintained hotel.We will stay there again

Beautiful views & bad WiFi”

The Gardens and Views are excellent the staff is also very eager to help and always have a good attitude. My one complaint was the wi-fi system. If you need to use Wifi you have to sit by the pool or the reception area. If you don't need internet this place is a great value for the money. The restaurant is also very good.

The cottages are built separately which provide superb privacy and comfort. Modern amenities include hot water, clean pool and toiletries. The grounds are impressively maintained and the bay view is wonderful. Good food abounds at this hotel and elsewhere nearby.

2 nights without sleep”

The hotel is located at very bizarre position to where you have walk through a local neighborhood and a site of rooster farm, dozen of roosters are raised there. --At night, the roosters started crow since 2 AM. One site of a rooster is so close to my room that is about 100 feet away. Another day the screeching started at 4:30 AM. The 2 nights at this hotel was sleepless miserable. Those roosters are fed for fighting, a creature full of hormones, one rooster crowed would irritate dozens of others --I couldn't connect any wifi at any place except the reception. The mobile reception is so week I can't make any phone call, never thinking about the internet connection. I couldn't stay at hotel room even at night if I want to check my email or any IMs. --Hotel would charge you 4.5% extra if you want to pay by credit card. They are only fever with cash. I moved out after my miserable 2 nights at this hotel. Don't try this site except you don't need internet and won't be wake up by rooster.
