We stayed in this hotel for our wedding preparation and we definitely love the whole place. It was rustic and romantic which was perfect for our photos and videos. Even our whole entourage, family and friends fell in love with the place. This hotel is highly recommended to those who want to experience a taste of the past.

Perfect place to unwind”

Sulyap is very accessible from Manila. It takes you back into time where everything is much simpler. Quiet and cozy room to relax, great food and ambiance, all the things you look for a pleasant staycation.

Relaxing Stay”

The room is big and smells good. Electric kettle is provided upon request. All the staff we encountered are nice and helpful especially RJ who assisted us during my husband's birthday dinner. There is an event when we were there, but we didn't feel crowded. The pool is small but the kids still enjoyed it.

Excepțional”

Great place. It gets busy during lunch/dinner time because of the restaurant guests. The time we were there, someone was even using the grounds as location for a debut pictorial. It would be better if they separate some part of the grounds only for stay-in guests.

Must visit for an out of town trip”

It was a pleasant stay, we all enjoyed our overnight trip! Pool was excellent for an afternoon dip. Too bad we did not eat dinner here, I think we missed out on that one because we heard dinner here is good as well. So stay for dinner, the restaurant is really heart-warming at night in a chic rural Filipino setting (with classic Filipino music playing in vinyl!). We were a group but it's perfect for couples to stay in too. Must stay here when in San Pablo!

Very satisfied and relaxing. The staff are attentive. The room is clean. Waiting time for food service is just right and they serve good food. Except for breakfast, they ran out of tablea (local hot chocolate drink) but they tried to compensate with Hershey's hot choco which is not bad.

cable tv was not working; internet was slow; made us wait fow 30 min during check in because they needed addtnl time to clean the room but when we got there, the terrace was not clean though same as the bathroom; receptionist was not quite accommodating. food was quite ok though

First and foremost, I would like to commend Kevin Mendoza for being an awesome staff! 😊 You are truly the reason why our stay was exceptionally great! Sulyap in itself is amazing. The view, the ambiance and the food. But what makes it stand out tobthe rest of the hotels that we have been is their staff Kevin. Your trip to Sulyap won't be complete if you have and will not experience the kind of service that Kevin offers. He smiles enthusiastically, attends to the needs promptly, shows sincere care for their guests, knows the menu very well and recommends the best food! He even recommended the best places to visit in San Pablo, where to buy the best pasalubongs and places that are safe for our kids or tht they will enjoy! He is very passionate in what he do that you can see right through his actions his utmost care for his job and for the hotel. No amount of tip can actually equate the kind of service that he offered to us and ge has to offer to other guests. I have only nice things to say about him because we also get to experience the service that other staffs had to offer and I must say that if not for Kevin, my rating for staffs would only be 1 star. Home away from home”

The location was good. It was surprising to have such serene and lovely place so near the city center. It was a perfect blast in the past. The rooms were big and clean. The pool was cleaned regularly and secluded. It's as if we rented our own personal resort. The prices in the restaurant are pricey though

Great Food, Nice Hotel”

The main attraction in this hotel is their great food. Pinoy foods were cooked with an added twist that you can only get in Sulyap. The set-up is in all Filipino from the food, to the design of the hotel. Visit their museum to have a look at their family collection of antiques. Their rooms have relaxing ambiance, a combination of old Filipino design and modern amenities. Don't forget to go around Sampaloc Lake and have snacks at Cafe Lago. Have your picture taken with Cafe Lago's lovely pet dog named Tabi, a mix of White Labrador and Siberian husky.

Charmed life in a charming destination”

We are five sister-friends who spent a very relaxing weekend at Sulyap. We arrived shortly before noon and was warmly welcomed by the staff who showed us our very spacious room with an equally spacious bathroom. The staff were very helpful and solicitous. They offered to tKe our pictures in every interesting corner of the place. They brought cups of hot water in our room and by the poolside when we requested. They readily supplied the additional towel we requested. They pointed to us nearby places we can explore in San Pablo. The place has an interestin collection of antiques housed in a museum. There was a knowledgeable guide to explain to us the stories of the various items on exhibit. Food and drink at the dining area were very good. The waiters can give suggestions on best sellers. The place is very artistically decorated, although the garden can get better sprucing up. Ornamental plants in pots can be better maintained so they are healthy and not dried up. But the entire place is well kept and clean. We will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Sulyap, a Glimpse We'd Want to Have Again”

My office friends and I will definitely go back with our loved ones. The rooms were immaculately clean, with very comfortable beds and a huge bathroom. Each little thing was very well thought of--from the fleece and cotton blankets to the designs of the furniture. The food was delicious, of course! I can't remember everything that we ate but they were all good. The breakfast was a feast! Maybe there should be an option for smaller tummies! The pool, however, was not that clean because there was no net to cover it from falling leaves and insects. We cleaned it ourselves before jumping in :) The Spanish houses are simply charming, with all the antiques and furniture. The service was great--the staff was attentive, except for forgetting to serve my friends' coffee after dinner. But that's alright. Overall, it is the ambience of Sulyap that makes you want to go back.
