FAVE STAYCATION EVER!”

This is hands down my ultimate favorite staycation ever. We arrived late at night, and it was so beautiful with the lights. Upon entering our room, I was at awe on how the interior was beautifully done. Sun came up the next day, and I was even more surprised on how beautiful this place is! I loved the food at the restaurant. So peaceful, and the waiters were all very attentive and friendly. Can't wait to bring my family here again so they can be mesmerized by the experience of Sulyap. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

A 'gem' in San Pablo!”

How lucky we were to choose this 'gem'. A place overflowing with old world charm and staff who are equally as charming and extremely helpful. We arrived on Mother's day afternoon when the place was very busy but the receptionist, without being asked, offered us a huge family room to replace the two rooms which we had reserved. Due to the restaurant being fully booked we opted for room service for dinner which was served very quickly and the food was absolutely fantastic. If we ever need accomodation in San Pablo again this will be our first choice.

Travel Back In Time”

Perfect for old souls like me. It’s nostalgic and will literally bring you back in time. There’s a musty smell of the past which I like. The curator of the museum is really nice. We’re wide eyed listening to his stories. We had a really nice time having coffee while it’s raining and we’re listening to old folk songs. We arrived early and were given a room instantly. Sulyap is my second home. I will keep coming back to this hauntingly beautiful place.

The fusion of today and yesterday ”

It’s a gem in a small town. I love the mix of what’s available today and what we had yesterday. The tools of today such as the internet functioned very well while bring us to what was the living style of yesterday. And please try the mango crepe with coffee 😉

Fantastic”

Booked here to attend wedding in the area. We are very satisfied with our stay. The staff are very accommodating. Sir Anthony, in charge of the museum was very kind to show us around and provide very informative lessons in history! The pool is clean and they are very kind to open all the lights despite it was only 3 of us are swimming. Will definitely recommend this place.

Time travel feels”

My husband and I had an overnight stay at Sulyap. The Obando room is spacious and cozy. The furnitures and the whole vibe of the room will take you to Philippine colonial era. The breakfast is adequate. I wish there's a small fridge for my chocolates and wine (I like having these when I travel). I think the bathroom can do better. Overall, it is a pleasant experience.

Probably the best place to stay in at San Pablo”

Booked a ground floor room in Casa Obando. We loved the old Philippine style deco of the place. The pool has a small jacuzzi and the place houses a free museum tour for those interested to have a glimpse of the past. The only downside is probably that we could hear the other parties in the rooms beside and on top of us. All things considered, we would book here again.

Excepțional”

Good location, near the city proper, the staff were all great. I love the set up of the hotel, good ambiance, good food. Old feel in modern times. I enjoyed the pool, not too crowded. Thank you very much. see you again soon.

Best bed and breakfast hotel in the area”

We were very satisfied with the place. 2nd floor rooms with living room. Spacious. The Aircon was really strong. The in-house restaurant food was really good and breakfast was excellent. We were given a FREE extra breakfast! (breakfast is good for 2 plates but we were given a FREE 3rd plate for my son who was with us) The Swimming pool was clean and big enough. We could not ask for more since we love the place. We shall be going back soon!

Superb choice!”

We were originally booked in a double room. But since it was newly repainted, the receptionist was kind and honest enough to tell us it still smelled like paint and upgraded us to a family room (without additional charge). We were in awe. Room was HUGE as well as the ensuite bathroom. The room had an “off” smell which is understandable because everything was made of wood and had antique furniture. They serve the VERY DELICIOUS complimentary breakfast in the restaurant which lights up very nicely at night. It’s such a scenic view. The traditional old spanish feel was everywhere and the whole place is a gem in the town. Would highly recommend.

Great stay”

We booked the standard (ground floor) room of casa de obando. The room is clean with comfortable bed. There are reviews here complaining about the smell, but it's not actually that bad. The floor of the upper room is made of wood so you can hear their footsteps, but nothing to worry it's not that noisy (my fart is even louder), it didn't even bother my sleep and I'm a light sleeper. Everything is nice, especially if you are a fan of antiques. The staff are great, they are very friendly and helpful. We are amazed by the waiter, he's consistent. And yes, they have a really good restaurant. My boyfriend is a great Cook that's why I'm a picky eater, but the food in this place is really awesome! it's a must try. They also have a small museum full of antiquities (the hotel itself is antique). I will definitely visit the place again.

Serene weekend”

I chose this place because of the pictures and review of my boss. Indeed, he was right. The food is great. The staff are courteous and helpful. The museum is open for free viewing. You can also pick fruits for free, well we asked for permission first. Nice and clean pool. Old and rustic house will make you feel living in the past. It's a perfect getaway!

Nostalgic”

When we checked-in, housekeeping must've forgotten to clean the bathroom as it has the smell of urine and wet shower floor, which somehow tainted our impression for few hours. Other than that, the place is marvelous, food was good and the staff are nice. Ideal for people looking for a serene weekend. Since it's surrounded by gardens, mosquito are expected so make sure you bring repellent lotions esp for kids. It's true value for money and we are recommending this place to our friends. We still see ourselves spending evenings in this place next time we are in San Pablo.

Very Accommodating Staff!!”

My girlfriend has to stay early because I have a business meeting the whole day. They let her stay very early around 4 hour before check in time which we both really appreciate. The staff is also helpful in making sure she is taken care of. 15/10 for the staff. Kudos! Will definitely be back

Remarkable”

My sister and her BF who is French and spending holidays in PH ended up using our reservation as something came up on that date. His feedback is that he like the place so much from the garden, to the ambience and to the staff. It was quite laid back, which is much needed nowadays. They also loved the food (except for the pasta that my sister had). They truly enjoyed their stay and said that it was worth it. He even mentioned that it must've been the best hotel he's stayed in PH so far. I've always wanted to go to Sulyap and we actually booked again for a weekend.

Tranquil Place at San Pablo”

Very good Stay at Sulyap is just a couple of hours away from Manila. Good place to enjoy a night away from the busy streets of the Metro. Location is very convenient. Near SM San Pablo/Puregold. Check-in is very straight forward. We arrive early morning. Had breakfast at the Homely atmosphere of their Cafeteria. We were provided rooms immediately after the breakfast. Early check-in (around 10am) with no additional charges. We stayed at Casa de Obando. Suggest to get the 2nd level as the house is primarily made of wood and you can definitely hear the footsteps on the 2nd level if your staying at the Ground level. Room Interior is true to it's nostalgic motif and spacious with proper Hotel amenities. Clean bathroom, aircon and lighting are available. We only had issue s with the water heater not functioning at that time. We make most of our time and enjoy our stay at Sulyap, visiting their Museum Gallery and Orchard garden. Swimming pool equipped with warm water and bubble/Jacuzzi style mini pool. I manage squeeze a room massage to max up our relaxation. Staff are pleasant and very accomodating. Highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast if you will be in San Pablo. Giving you another option from the usual overnight/weekend stay in Tagaytay. Will definitely consider coming back to Sulyap!

It's a hidden gem”

Sulyap is a special place. Less than 2-hour drive from Manila, I highly recommend this hidden gem to weary city folks looking to relax and rejuvenate for a few days. The bed & breakfast is a no frills, non-pretentious place - the magic is how they transport you in time with their restored houses, that now serve as their accomodations. My wife and I stayed at Casa Obando (room 3), which is perfect for couples. The house remains faithful to its original design. They have another house to cater to families and groups (rooms for 6 persons). The Obando rooms range about P2,500 per night - very reasonable. The Sulyap restaurant is a nice, quaint area for meals and snacks. Dining in itself is an experience,with antiques and paintings that decorate the restaurant. Sulyap also offers guests a free tour of their museum, which showcases nice Filipino and Spanish antiques and furniture. We met one of the owners, Roy Empalmado, who is an antique collector, painter, and food & wine connoisseur. No wonder the meticulousness and passion that is found all around Sulyap are so evident. Roy shared with us that when in season, you can come over and pick lansones at Sulyap. The staff in Sulyap are all incredibly helpful and friendly. For kids and adults too, Sulyap has a nice pool.. One last thing, Sulyap is a great jump off point to see other places of interest. Patis Tito Garden (a great restaurant) is only 20mins away. Villa Escudero is about 45mins. Pagsanjan Falls about an hour. Overall, loved the whole Sulyap experience.... We need more places like Sulyap, so cone visit and support them!

A Relaxing Hotel”

our stay at sulyap bed and breakfast is very memorable. i love the ambiance because i'm into old things. the room is very spacious and well decorated. the staff are friendly and they treat you well. the food that they serve has generous serving. the place is quiet which is good for relaxation. i would recommend this hotel to my friends and relatives.

Very Charming ”

i stayed a few nights in this charming hotel / b&b and had a wonderful experience. breakfast was awesome, service was awesome. a few times i had coffee on the porch with some pastries we purchased in town and the staff there was terrific, allowing me to keep items in their frig etc. the restaurant has very good food for reasonable prices and the location is convenient.
