EACY Dive School PADI Course”

Stayed here to do my Open Water Cert - the dive shop onsite supports charity which was my main draw to Tamaraw. I highly recommend EACY Dive as their profits go to support Stairway Foundation - Magnus taught me and was very good. Pros: Dive shop on site, good food, quiet&peaceful beach location, really enjoyed the tables outside the room in the morning, great view of the ocean and resort, could work out in the gym, shop onsite to buy cellphone load&snacks, close to white beach (20mins walk), friendly staff, free shuttle to the piers. I arrived so late at 1am&they were very accommodating Cons: No wifi in rooms (Was on the 3F), limited only to reception&dining area, walk to white beach is a bit on the road (bit scary at night so I wouldn't recommend walking by yourself but tricycle should be ok), food options are very meat-heavy - vegetarian options on the menu would be nice too (My skin is quite sensitive so I had a breakout of 7 pimples after my stay) Overall would highly recommend!

If you want relaxing stay, quiet nature friendly place, this is a perfect place. just bring insect repellent protection for outdoor stay specially night time.

Relaxing vacation”

I wanted a relaxing vacation away from the crowd and noise and that is what I got. Staff are corteous and very accomodating. Checking in and out was a breeze and they let us check in early as soon as the rooms were ready. The pool was clean. We had the pool to ourselves. The beach was just ok. Food were a liitle pricey. One can opt to go to white beach for more options.

3 star hotel - 4 star service”

Tamaraw exceeded our expectations during our resent stay. The staff did their absolute best to make our visit enjoyable and relaxing. The situation on the beach is first class. The beach nice and beautiful and the water clear and crisp. There is a great pool, tennis, beachwolley and diving on the premises. We had a three hour snorkeling trip that was great, absolutely fantastic. First we had a Junior Suit which was very nice and spacious, later we moved to a beach bungalow whit was a bit smaller but five steps away from the water. The change was made without any problem and everyone helped us with a smile. The service is really quick and good. The sunsets are to die for ... Thank u great people at Tamaraw for making our stay super great!

We had a fantastic one night stay in this resort, we visited the area before but wanted a quieter time compared to the white beach. Ask early enough you can get adjoining rooms depending on availability since we were a family of 8 this was a lot easier for us. You can also arrange to get picked up from the port for free. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate so we were unable to swim in the sea but the pool made up for it. The area is clean and you will not get hassled by vendors. Since we only stayed for a night we never really got to use most of their facilities. The resort has a restaurant and a store inside however their menus do not cater to group meals it's all based on one meal per person. The store inside had basic crisps, chocs & drinks but make sure to check dates on the back as my sister had been snacking on crisp that had gone off, they did give us the option to pick a new one. The locks on the rooms need improvement though. Overall great place! Defs will stay again!

excellent place for family or group”

Everything is excellent except fro the food quality and choices. But for a family or group it's not really a problem because we are allowed to bring and cook our own food. Every room on the first level has mini kitchen with good cooking stove and utensils. Bathrooms on all the rooms are clean and comfortable to use.

Quiet location, spacious rooms”

Stayed 2 nights at a superior room on the third floor mid January. The resort is located along the quiet Aninuan beach. Check-in and check-out were hassle-free. The superior room is spacious, enough for 4 persons. A balcony outside the room overlooking the beach is a nice feature. Basic amenities, clean room. Bathroom needs to be updated. Shower heater works well, good water pressure. No wifi in rooms but available in the reception area. Free shuttle service is provided to and from Balatero and Muelle Pier. Food at the restaurant is delicious but priced higher than in restaurants at White Beach. Nice pools, clean beach. There is a spa at the beach within the resort premises. I had a nice massage there at a reasonable fee. Too bad they closed the place the day after I got the massage as the management was planning to replace the older, more experienced massage therapists with younger women which I find odd. Overall, value for money is good. Would stay here again.

Thank you so much Tamaraw Beach Resort for the amazing service and hospitability the staff has shown during our extend stay due to the typhoon. Aside from the very spacious and comfortavle accomodation and the scenic beach front amenities, the staff was extremely helpful and kind to us and even went out of their way to keep us informed about the schedules and the status of the boat trips which were cancelled due to Rosita. Though we had to extend for 2 more days because of the cancellations, we had such a great time and I could never thank the staff enough. We will definitely go back to this place and I highly recommend this to other people as well! You get so much more than what you pay for and there's so much to do within the resort. Seriously, if you're planning to go to Galera, this is the place to go to. This was highly recommended to me by 2 other friends and I agree that the place is worth the hype. Oh and try the Tamaraw Adobo Rice for breakfast :) I really would like to commend the front desk manager and staff for the impeccable service.

Honest Review of the Hotel”

Pros - They let you check in early if there's no guest in your booked room. We arrived 10am and CI time is 2PM. - Staff is amazing. Special mention to Jess who's our tour guide in our snorkeling. - Food is delicious. Their menu is for sharing kahit sabihin nilanh good for one! Lols! Sarap ng nilaga! - If you'll bring your own food, they have grill. We borrowed plates/spoons/forks/ice bucket from their resto. Not sure kung pwd tlg kc we bought rice naman sa knla. - Nice pool! We enjoyed it. Cons - Playroom needs a little bit renovation. Masyado madilim at mainit. - Mejo mabato ung ibang side ng beachfront pglow tide pro majority of the shore is okay, lalo na sa kids to play around. - If you're planning to stay, sa agoda kayo mgbook kc mas mura tlg. Unlike ginawa nmen na directly sa knla mgbook nung ngextend kme hehehehe. Overall, you get more than you paid for! Good job Tamaraw! We'll be back again for sure!

Relaxing stay in Puerto Galera”

We booked superior rooms. good thing we were in 3rd floor coz we had a nice view of the sea from the balcont/hallway. Each room has a small table outside in the balcony/hallway good for sipping coffee in the morning. Rooms are good enough for the price. There are 2 double beds, plus extra bed/pull-outs are available upon request. There is also a mini refrigerator inside. Cable tv is also present. Wifi however is limited to the reception/dining area. Infinity pool was deepest at 6ft, but there is a short shallow part for kids. Dining can be near the reception or in the resto near the pools or near the pools. Food is good, best seller for us was the Tamaraw special. There arebasketball courts, table tennis and billiards area which can be used for free. Service vehicle to and from Muelle port is also available. They can also shuttle to White beach for a small fee (cheaper than renting tricycle if you are more than 4pax). Staff are also very nice. They allowed us to check in early when we arrived. Resort has its own beach shared with 1 or 2 resorts so it offers some privacy and quiet, but it is also 5mins away from White Beach area for other activities/resto. Overall, relaxing stay. The family enjoyed a lot.

This is one of the most kid friendly place that i've been to. The management were great enough to give us early check in and late check out. The food are a bit pricey like other resorts, but the portions are good. This will be a great option if you have kids and do not like the noise of white beach. You still have the option to go to there though by trike or walking just be ready for a 5-10 min hike or 10-15 walk. Thanks TBR. See u next time.

IT'S A CALM AND RELAXING PLACE - I liked the calmness of the resort. If you prefer to relax, away from the loud partying people of White beach (1 tryk ride away), then book here. ♥️ FOOD IS A LITTLE PRICEY - But I couldn't just complaint because they all taste good and worth the price. But if you're on a budget, there are cheaper food options in White beach. Thank you so much Tamaraw!

We had a good stay here for 2 nights, the location is great, near to White Beach but in a quiet area. The view is beautiful, the swimming pool is great, the activities are affordable and easy to access : 200 pesos per hour for kayak, 500pesos for renting scooter à day, 2500 pesos for snorkeling and island Hopping (for 10 people, so 250 per person). The room was good even if the bed is a bit small for a couple in the superior room. The staff is very nice and helpful, and the restaurant of the resort is delicious and affordable (~200 pesos per meal per person)

Quiet & Excellent Stay”

We are a group of 11 persons and we Arrived Tamaraw Beach Resort 8:30am - Check in time of the hotel is 2:00pm, but the friendly staff from Reception allowed us to checking in as early as 9:00am - 5 hours advanced from the official check in time. Indeed it is an amazing experienced (first time in my history of hotel accommodation) that we are allowed to check in as early as like that. Staff and crews were all friendly and accommodating. Thank you to Kuya Joseph (Driver) for picking us up and sending us off at Muelle Port, he even assists us to buy tickets for Fast Craft (1:00pm slots) despite the facts of first come first serve basis. Thank you also to Kuya (Boat man) for sending us to the Snorkeling area safe and sound. The overall experienced with Tamaraw Beach Resort is indeed amazing. Highly recommended.

Request”

When I made the booking, I specifically asked for a non-smoking and quiet room. The first night was perfect, until noisy occupants arrived (loudly conversing at 4am). The staff relocated us to a better room and did not charge any extras. However, the newly arrived occupants were allowed to smoke on the verandah. My point is: I think there is a quiet and non-smoking room, why did not we get that?

If you are looking for a secluded beach resort away from the noisy and chaotic white beach, then this resort is for you. There are no noisy guests at night time, very cozy and peaceful. The food is good and not pricey. However, the facilities need some refurbishment.

Quiet and Relaxing”

Rooms are OK. Me, my wife, and 2 kids (16 and 13 yr old) fit very well in their superior room, which has a good view of the beach and sea. The breakfast is very nice. Around 6 meal choices. Unlimited juice and coffee. The pool is also good to spend time in. The beach is very rocky and quite dirty when we were there. You have to go further into the water to be in clean waters. But it is of course good enough to float around in. What is very nice is that it has only 1 other resort beside it, so the place is really quiet. Also it is around 10 minute walk to White Beach if you want better beach and more restos and people around.

We enjoyed our stay here. The property is right beside White Beach where you can get everything you would ever need. Though I gave 5 stars on all items I still have a few inputs that I hope would help the management in the future. 1) Door in our room's lock needs changing/fixing. It's hard to close it. Takes us an average of 3-5mins every time we leave the room. Not fun when you have 2 impatient 5 year olds. 2) Though you can walk or take the trike to White Beach, it would help if the hotel can provide shuttle service for a discounted rate. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and everything went smoothly.

Nice bungalow stay on the beach”

We had one of the beach bungalow cottages. It's nice to walk out your door right into the beach. It's a nice beach. not crowded like White Beach. Not many touts hounding you.They'll set up volleyball upon request. Bungalows are very basic though, but hey, it's a beach bungalow. Food was not expensive, was tasty and delivered quickly. They brought our lunch order out to the beach loungers for a small extra fee. 24 hour security guard in premises. Nice pool with infinity. The bungalows are a bit pricey, but I explored Puerto Galera a lot and didn't see anything close to this beach bungalow setting.
