Fantastic views of Nile from balcony ”
We stayed 2 nights at Iberotel Luxor but wished we could have stayed longer. When checking in we were made to feel super welcome by Milad on reception he went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable and helped us greatly by printing important paperwork needed for our trip to Cairo. Thanks again Milad! The view of the Nile from river view rooms is stunning & worth paying a little extra for. Food at the hotel is good quality and varied. I would happily stay here again.

My only tip would be do pay extra for a Nile view room view with balcony. We complained about the floor polishing machine being rather noisy, being used around 2 - 3am, but we were in a room overlooking the lobby (not what we ordered via the booking agent). The manager has since replied and they have replaced the machine with a new, much quieter one. Amazing response, really nice hotel, book it !

The hotel completely met my expectations. Very clean, amazing views to the Nile river. A variety of food available at breakfast and very nice. Pool is fantastic to refresh after a hectic and hot morning walking around the temples. Very secure and spotless. I a have to be picky i will say the shower doesn't match the standards od the rest of the facilities but work perfectly fine

Stayed here for a few nights during our stay in Luxor. Central location with plenty of taxis outside and a shopping street 2 mins down the road. Very friendly staff and security door guys :)

Nice hotel in central Luxor close from luxor temple and with river view. Breakfast was good, but they should use something to cover the sweets from the flies. Additionally, the last day I went to the swimming pool it had many small flies, so maybe it's not cleaned daily which is sad. Also, the AC in my room had an old analog adjuster that I think didn't work because my room was definitely not under 20°C so it was hot all the time in my room which was annoying.

The hotel is located on the East Bank. A 900m walk to Luxor temple and the Ferry to the West Bank. Karnak is 3,5km away but is also a nice and peaceful walk once you pass Luxor temple. The breakfast was pretty decent; the coffee rolls are great and there’s a chef making eggs the way you like them. The one thing that we didn’t like was the noise at night in the lobby. Try to get a room not facing the lobby because you’ll be guaranteed to wake up at least twice a night to loud noises. Price/quality is good.

The value for money of this hotel is Ok. Location is perfect and the pool is a big plus. Staff is ok, although it will be nice if they were more fluent in English. Food is ok and good value for money too. I am not sure if hospitality professionals are used to engage with their clients in Egypt, particularly if they are independent traveler. They were confused when asking questions about activities to do in the city, out of the standard things to visit. I arranged some private tours there too, and the guides were far to be brilliant. One didn't speak a lot of English. The other one got angry when asking questions out of his speach. At the end of the day both were asking for their tip. I cancelled another day trip as I was not happy with the information provided and either their attitude. Anyway, Luxor would be a nicer place if people on the streets wouldn't harass tourists. And they will make more money too.

Good Location, Staff & Clean. Pool freezing & unusable.”
Location is handy to everything. Check-in staff ate very good. Heneral staff are hit & miss. Some are very good & some have no idea about timeliness, service or guests expe tations. When you have walked the various tombs, temples & museums for the day a nice relaxing swim would be great. In this hotel the pool is a converted barge sitting in the Nile River. Looks very nice in photos & very inviting, however it's so cold the water it's unusable. Some black pipe on the bar roof would fix this problem immediately, but again no thought by the management for a significant yet easy improvement to the hotel. Balcony door was not lockable & street noise ridiculous. The remainder of the hotel such as grounds, relaxing areas, foyer & breakfast was all very nice. The hotel was clean & most if not all staff competent & attentive. If the pool temperature was fixed & a few younger staff members trained more this hotel would probably be the best value for money overall in Luxor. Would l stay here again? Probably. Fix at least the pool temperature then definitely.

A lot of issues to polish”
The hotel is run down and service extremely slow. The quality vs price is a bit steep. You pay for the pool and view. Different areas of the hotel F&B outlets charge different prices for the same food. The check out was a mess and took 3 staff members in reception and almost a full hour to consolidate our “signed” cheques against our bill. Then the staff was extremely rude and repeatedly told us it was our problem and we HAD TO CHECK ourselves. They kept bringing out stacks of chequea and we had to manually check one by one in hundreds. They couldn’t find two cheques so we said we wouldn’t pay if there was no signed cheque. They then called us three days later to tell us to pay the cheques since they had now found them. The check out should be smooth and prepared in advance by the hotel. Who would pay a bill without a receipt?!? We almost miss our train because of this too. We were really stressed and the staff was unapologetic and kept saying it was our job to do that! We asked how far was the train station and they said 20min away so they booked us a taxi and charged us 250EGP for it. The train station was literally 3 minutes away. (Our fault for jot checking but really cheeky from the hotel side too). Other hotels give you complimentary water every room - we had to pay for it until I complained and they gave it to us for two days. Then forgot about it again. No water pressure in our shower at all. The cleaners ramaged through our belongings a couple of times. So make sure to keep valuables safe. A group of Spanish girls had money missing from their bags in their room. On the good side, the view form the Nile rooms is lovely and the pool incredible. But don’t expect speedy, professional service… make sure to pay as you go to avoid a stressful hour long check out. Check your bills too!

Get a river view room, you wont regret! Bathroom is small. Nice garden. But avoid the restaurants, the food is below average, borderline bad.
