Hidden gem spotted”
What a find! We stayed here for 1 night and it was lovely. Might seem like a cheap hotel but don't let it put you off. The hotel is clean and well maintained, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the room condition was very good. There is a dining area with play area for children. Hotel amenities are adequate and location wise it is in close proximity to shopping area and terminals. Pro tip #1:- Compare transport prices. There is a shuttle bus line coming through this hotel (yellow bus line) every 1/2 hour or so. Bur do compare prices with e-hailing providers too (Uber,Didi etc.) For info bus charge is 6NZD per person. Pro tip #2:- Coffee Machine perk The dining area has an automatic coffee machine. For hotel guest is free of charge. Get your coffee fix for free here. An advantage if you have your own thermos to fill. Pro tip #3:- Shop till you drop There is a shopping acade just a stone's throw away. There is a supermarket (countdown) and departmental store (the warehouse) to name a few. We actually bought a spare luggage and bought chocolates aa souvenirs over there. You can even buy ready to eat meals and bring back to hotel and eat it at the dining area as there is a microwave oven there. What a saver! Overall I give the hotel a big 5 star. I definitely will stay here again.

Value for money”
Ibis Budget is the ideal hotel for the traveller who has to spend a night near the airport. It has a comfortable bed (beds), family friendly configurations of beds, nice strong shower, is simple but clean. Has a TV. The staff are friendly and helpful. The $ 15 breakfast is all you need and you even get to take some food with you if you want. The yellow bus to the airport is $ 6 - also a very good service. There is a bar/restaurant next door for dining. I made a mistake when booking through Agoda, booking 3 nights instead of one, but customer service of Agoda helped me correct this!

The Ibis is in walking distance from the airport, I walked the distance, only about 1.5 kms , it's nothing. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is brilliant it's right by lovely shops, countdown and takeaways. The room is super clean and lovely crisp cotton sheets. Oh and I nearly for, there is a free shuttle. I personally want to thank the staff when I was there. They went over and above to help me download documents and print them out. The polite and friendliness of the staff make this a great stay. Compact, ideal and relaxed”
Had a great stay here, from the friendly and helpful desk staff to the clean and fresh compact room that had all I could want. Shopping was a breeze with big name stores nearby for food and anything else you could need as you fly in or out of Auckland. This will now be my go to when staying in auckland. The transport to the airport was easy and I could relax knowing it came every five minutes.

The hotel was close to the airport. The yellow bus will take you there m, it’s the first stop. It’s $5NZD... check in was quick and easy and the bed was really comfortable. Other guests were noisy when leaving for early flights however that is no reflection on the hotel. Highly recommend.

Clean and handy. Walkable from airport, quicker than the bus sometimes! Close to all the hire car places too so easy to collect car. Cannot think why you’d stay anywhere else.

We enjoyed our stay. We flew in to Akl at midnight. On arrival we were welcomed with a smile. The room was nice & clean. We only stayed for a few hours before heading to our next location. Would definitely stay there again.

Handy Access to Airport”
Clean and comfy room. Very small, but perfect size for an overnight stay on the way to airport. Helpful and friendly staff will arrange a free airport shuttle. Large foyer with comfy lounges to meet up with friends Great access to range of shops and services including chemist, supermarket, restaurants, etc. Very good value for money.

It was good value for money, very close to the airport. We had trouble with the shuttle buses, either coming too early and the other not turning up. Talked to the receptionist about it and they were very helpful and done the best they could to contact the company, for that I am very grateful. Good coffee and breakfast set up looked good too.

Love staying here - so clean and modern, easy to walk to from the airport and with supermarket and stores right next door. Loved our meals at the restaurant next door - good gluten free selection!!

Great option if you have an early flight ”
Great hotel, very reasonable. Rooms were small but we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Everything was very clean and close to supermarkets and eateries. Highly recommend.

Great Hotel.....But”
Just needed a hotel as we were departing the following day from Auckland. Pros - The Staff were fantastic and assisted us by booking us in early, extremely helpful. - Rooms were very clean and tidy - Restaurant next door has a very good selection of food and drink. Highly recommend. - The yellow bus drops off from airport to hotels in area, about $12 return. Have coins or credit card. Cons - Cost, I’m guessing due to location I paid £74 a night. May have been the best deal ? But willlook next time at other local hotels that the The Yellow bus stop off at e.g Gateway Hotel, Holiday Inn,Kiwi Hotel,Naumi Hotel,Sudima Hotel and THL Campers. - Internet, this was a major issue for me as you only were aloud 2 hours and if you closed your browser down early you lost the remaining mins. Of course you can buy extra time but this is 21st Century and every hotel I’ve been in has 24 hour internet. Next time I will look at other hotels above.

Love staying here - it’s quiet, clean and super fresh feeling with everything you need without the ridiculous prices. You can get the yellow bus for $6 or walk the 1km there. Check in was quick and easy and the shower hit with awesome pressure. My go to place when staying in Auckland
