A nice location and great place

Decent hostel but not highly recommended”
This place has vibrant atmosphere and the location is not bad. However, internet connection is only good at the reception and really slow at places where you sleep. To take a shower you have to press button multiple times so that water doesn’t stop flowing automatically. Water temp. Isnt hot but warm. During my stay water pump got broken in the morning and took hours to get it fixed. No showers for those who had to check out early. It is a decent place to stay with many flaws.

Recommend to solo travelers ”
Me (a girl) travelled alone in Dublin. I recommend this hostel. Staffs were nice. I lived in a six person mix room. I also met a friend in my room and kept contacting with each other. I was lucky that there was no one snoring in my room at night haha.

One of the best places to stay in Dublin.. The price, but the real reason I am here. It's just the atmosphere that can not be matched.. :D Do it

25 euro taxi ride. No one knew the location(2 taxis locals bus driver)”
Poor location—unsavory area of a neighborhood with drunks and smells—no one knew where you were located—I didn’t feel safe. —it cost 50 euros for 2 taxi rides to and fro the airport...I ended up staying at airport for 12 hrs under police guidance.....

nice place to stay”
if you like to party every night its kind far from bar area. but its close to train station. no bar also means quiet place. nice cooking kitchen and public area is nice too. the only tiny bit problem is under the bed is dusty. I start to have allergy after five night.

Young crowd”
The hostel is really great. It has fantastic security and facilities. The room was nice and big. However...it's a big party and the crowd is young so expect loud thumping music, thin walls, drunk kids, and Germans having sex in the room next to you. There is nothing wrong with all of that but if you want to sleep and have plans the next day then look elsewhere.

Everything is perfect near tram, walking street, and merchants. Very kind and helpful receptionists.Have a perfect place to meet other travelers (terrace, entertainment room, lobby, kitchen, and dining room). Excellent Rules especially the security pass for every guest after 11pm to avoid non-guests entering the rooms!

Little hostel in a big city”
We stayed in a private room ensuite. It's quite small with basic facilities. The location was good with easy access to many tourist attractions.

Bad experience ”
Frankly speaking I love this hostel a lot as they provided everything a traveler needs. The minus point is, I was traveling to Dublin in a group, and we have total 7 of us are staying in 10 beds dorms. One of the roommate was actually went to complaining us due to we back to hostel quite late after our party, and was disturbing her rest even though we kept our volume very very low, (we know the rules very well indeed! ) and the hostel staff straight came to room and SCOLD us instead of giving any warning. And the next day the hostel staff stick my name on everywhere (room's door, hostel' lift, counter, main entrance) and requested me to see them for the last night's complaint, and they were trying to chased us out from the hostel due to the incident happened from last night. This is a very bad experience that I ever had during my stay in Jacobs Inn.
