Perfect place to play comfortably and stay comfortably!”
I did extensive research on places to stay before I stumbled upon Meci Motel. I am so glad I went with this motel as they had everything I needed to play comfortably during the day, and stay comfortably during the night. As a solo female traveler, safety was high priority and I felt very safe throughout my 5 days staying at this place. The motel is located very close to the Hualien Train Station and central to local eateries and convenience stores. There are many scooter rentals nearby too, all within walking distance. The twin room I stayed in had great views, was very clean, and the staff were all very friendly. I especially appreciated the large bathroom, which had a steady flow of hot water (which you don't always get in Taiwan!). I also loved how they provide you with hot & cold water in the hallway. The staff was amazing - I regret not getting the name of the girl with the glasses, but she was especially kind, patient, and super helpful in showing me local attractions/eateries.

Loved Meci Hotel! I would stay here again and again! ”
One of the most important things about choosing a hotel in Hualein is location. Specifically, the closer to the train and bus station the better because this is where people arrive and depart the town from, and also where most will catch transportation to go up to the Taroko Gorge. Meci is only 2 blocks from the train station and is easily walkable. And you can still walk down to the Night Market in 15 minutes. Plus, there are all sorts of eating options within a few blocks walking distance. The hotel is very nice, the staff were wonderful, the lobby is very inviting and encourages guests to hang out and meet other people, and my room was probably the nicest here of all my hotel rooms everywhere I stayed in Taiwan. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.

Great location, friendly staff, cute hotel dog!”
The hotel was bout a 10-15 minute walk from the railway station, our luggages were rather big and heavy, but even so it wasnt too far/inconveient of a walk as everyone else seems to be headed along the same direction as meci hotel as there are several other hotels down the whole stretch of the road so it's pretty easy to navigate. There're FREE drinks and snacks that you can enjoy at the lobby of the hotel (cant bring up to your rooms as they're glass bottled drinks), and there're convenient hot/cold water tanks at every level of the hotel right infront of the lifts. The shower was also very interesting- they had a few shower heads that were adjustable to a few angles so you can enjoy a pressure massage too in the shower. Overall, great value for money! Perfect for a short stay.

Our stay at Meci hotel was really enjoyable . The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They recommended good places to eat and made us feel at home. We had a last minute addition of one more person and they kindly accomodated all of us. The hotel is well serviced with lots of free snacks, cold and hot drinks available. The family quad room we had was very spacious and the kids really loved it. The location in proximity to the train station made it easy to commute to Taipei and the Taroko national park. We had a really enjoyable stay there and will highly recommend to anyone. Kudos to all the hardworking and friendly staff there!

Less than 10 mins to Hualien station by walk. Close to souvenir stores and u can easily purchase pineapple cake/mochi etc before heading to station. The lobby itself is very warm and cozy while the room spacious and comfortable. The hotel offers free bike rental so u can explore the city. Would recommend to friends

This hotel is so so charming.we were greeted with the staff who is friendly and helpful.sufficient command of english.it is close to the station but abit far from the city centre but no problem u can hire a scooter or an electric bike from a nearby shop. D snacks downstairs and drinks is so good but u must consume it downstairs.room is super clean n excellent shower. For muslim travellers,do note that there is a pet dog called elly at the lobby,but she is super adorable and cute so no need to be scared of her. We love the hotel and would definitely recommend it! Good job meci hotel and keep up d good work.♡

Free bike rental and helpful staff”
Really appreciated the free bikes for use and the recommendations from the staff. Easy to walk there from the train station. We took the bikes to Qixingtan, walked to the night market, and rented a scooter to go to Taroko Gorge (45 min ride). Liked the shower and the slippers and amenities provided. They also helped us get better pillows. Beds are harder than in the US, but that’s pretty standard in Asia

the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the train station and around 20-30 minutes walk to downtown, the hotel is well-designed, the room is big enough and clean, with all daily necessities provided, there are free drinks and snacks provided in the lobby and there is a cute little black dog staying there in the morning

We got the room with mountain view, absolutely love it. Such a great view with park, train and mountain all together. They provide bike for free as well. Just that it is a bit dangerous to bike if you are foreigner and wanted to visit Dongdamen Night Market as we have to ride on the main road but for bike trail. Anyway, else are perfect! We enjoyed our 2 nights stay here. Thanks!

This hotel is located about 500 metres away from the Hualian train station. Very convenient to all the stores and restaurant. Very good breakfast shop is just next to this hotel. The staff is friendly as well. There are biscuits and coffee available at the hotel lobby.
