Excellent Location, Fabulous view, Fantastic Service”

The location is just 2 minutes walk from the Dong Da Men night market. There is a balcony facing the ocean in the South-east direction so you'll be able to catch a nice sunrise. The owner also serves up a hearty home-cooked breakfast and delivers fantastic service to ensure that your stay is comfortable. The room is also sparkly clean!

Wonderful hospitality ”

The moment you stepped into this place, you are instantly being treated like a royal. Check in is easy and so is check out. Location is so perfect that you won't go hungry as there are good eateries nearby and the famous night market is only less than 2 mins walk. What makes the stay unforgettable is their service - thoughtful homemade breakfast, immediate assistance to your needs and friendly staff who never gaol to put on a smile whenever they see you. Highly recommended place to start if you're in Hualien (if not minding walking upstairs including carrying your own luggages)

Exceptional hospitality ”

Very friendly staff and great hospitality. The morning and night view from the room was perfect, as the balcony overlook the sea. Location is convenient, with just walking distance from the night market. Home made breakfast served was great and different everyday. The staff was friendly, helpful, helping us to book taxi on our last day. Would definitely come back here again.

Friendly staff, can see some thoughtful touch in the room. Near night market. Love the breakfast. Preferred the room to be a little brighter in lighting for children to watch TV at night. Struggled a little to find power plugs around room. The rest was good.

A wonderful place to see sun rise at terrace. The friendly host provided great breakfast too. Only setback is no elevator as we stayed 4th level. May not be suitable for old folks. However he carried our luggages up for us. Great service!👍

Memorable breakfast; near the night market”

Appreciated the extra effort made in preparing our breakfast. It was very thoughtful to have included a small bowl of Tang Yuan to help us celebrate the winter solstice. Just a short walk away to the night market.

Ideal location, fantastic view and awesome breakfast”

Ocean lover homestay is the ideal homestay for a holiday in Hualien. The location is very close , within 5 minutes’ walking distance to Zhongshan Road which houses the popular dongdamen market and many popular recommended eateries . Dongdamen market itself is more spacious and modern compared to other night markets in Taiwan. We were upgraded to a top floor quadruple room with the privilege of having easy and almost private access to the upper deck with full ocean view. Room was big with attached bathroom and very comfortable with 2 queen beds. To top it off , we were served with one of the best breakfast prepared with fresh ingredients and so much heart . An ideal convenient location , fantastic view and awesome breakfast , what else could we ask for ? We would without a doubt highly recommend this place for couples and family with older children, as the stairs may be a factor to consider for the elderly . I must add too that the manager and owner was most friendly and helpful and recommended us the must-eats in Hualien town as well as taking the initiative to help us settle our transportation back to Taipei . open you balcony with direct view to the ocean. each room/floor are theme different. loverbird will like it here. allow use of washing machine, have viewing deck as well as roof access with table n chairs. great for family vacation stay. breakfast is great as well.

true taiwan homestay style, neat & tidy and great location”

This is my second time staying here. The first time we had a doubleroom overlooking the ocean. This time we used a 3-bedroom so no such luxury. Location was great, especially that the new night market has opened just 5 min walk away. The breakfast portion seem to have gotten a bit smaller, though still more than enough for an average stomach like myself.

Quaint ocean hut”

We loved the warmth of the staff. It made the stay so much cosier than being in a hotel. The artwork and furnishing here made it feel like we walked into a dreamland. The only drawback was a soaked floormat in the toilet when we checked in. That aside, the warmth of the people here and the cosiness of this hideout made us wish we stayed longer. Thumbs up!
