We're biased. We stay at the Te Pania in Napier every time we come to the Bay. Brilliant. Great restaurant. Friendly team and a good night's sleep. What more do you need?

Fabulous stay. My wife and I had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay because of the wonderful facilities, excellent services, helpful and rapid response staff. The hotel has great views of the coastal strip and a stones-throw away from downtown Napier. Loved our stay and we want to come back again. Keep up the good work.

Comfortable and at a good location ”

Room was spacious and generally clean. Location is near to streets with food and shopping. Although a bit expensive as I have stayed at hotels that cost less but with the same standard.

Got a room facing the waterfront. Awesome view especially in the morning. Location is great with places of interest within walking distance. Private free carpark available with a card from hotel. Check in fast and easy.

GREAT LOCATION BEAUTIFUL VIEWS, LACKLUSTURE CLEANING”

This is a beautiful hotel in the best location, the staff were super friendly and helpful and we definitely enjoyed our stay. However cleaning standards in both rooms we booked were well below average, in one rooms bathroom there were short thick curly black hairs stuck around the bath and the bathroom vanity was grimy and still covered in fingerprints, the other rooms bathroom had fecal splatter behind the toilet on the wall and back of toilet bowl and also hairs in the bath. The sleeping areas we're in very good condition and clean just the the bathrooms we're very poorly cleaned.

Straight face, racist receptionist”

It was awful to meet a straight face receptionist lady who told me she cannot find my booking. When I showed her the details from my agoda apps, she blankly told me, OH, YOU ARE NOT IN THE LIST. Gave me a second floor keys and told me to take the lift up. We drove, but the concierge wouldnt give a look at us, probably being Asians. We make a booking of 3 persons but we have only 2 towels, and when I want to go to reception to request, they will busy chatting amongst themselves. Worst. DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE ASIANS. You will get the worst treatment you can ever get in Auckland, Napier. You can book other hotels or motels there.

What an awesome stay, great view. Clean room. Close to almost everything. Best stay.

Not Up to Standard”

The lady who checked me in was not friendly, no smile at all. Despite remarked for high floor, connecting room, none was arranged - instead probably got the worst rooms of the hotel on low floor and blocked view. Paid extra for the third guest but no additional amenities such as towels was prepared. Service below standard but overpriced.

The Scenic Hotel was fantastic. We couldn’t fault it. Fantastic location on Esplanade so you can walk everywhere, to shops, cafes, restaurants, very helpful staff, all rooms have sea views, great p,ace would definitely return and recommend to fellow travellers.

Definitely book a room on the top three floors. There’s an aquatic and a convention center across the street blocking lower rooms from a view of the bay
