Quiet location thats right at the city center”

The rooms have been upgraded. Comfortable bed.very clean and modern toilet that already has the basic necessities. If you are going for tours originating from Galway the most of the pick up points are right outside the hotel. The Aran Islands ferry tour that departs from Galway port is just about 10-15minutes walk from the hotel. Staff are very friendly and there are rooms to store your luggage

Nice visit to Galway”

Great breakfast to get going in the morning. The location is really great for getting a look at Galway. The staff gave us good directions and told us a very nice place to go for a few drinks. The facilities are undergoing renovations, but when finished, it will be a superb place.

Location is great, just off Eyre Square. Beds were comfy and rooms clean. Enjoyed the stay.

Grumpy receptionist and distant car parking which you have to pay for detracted from the experience. Central location is a plus.

Brilliant location awesome staff”

We loved our stay at the Victoria, the location is pristine literally a 1 minute walk from eyre Square and all the excitement of Galway. The staff there are exceptionally helpful and extremely polite, had many a conversations with them and they genuinely treat you as if you are a friend they have known for ages, giving you tips and advice that is invaluable. The hotel itself is very tidy and quite spacious, it was adequate for our needs, the breakfast there was pretty decent. But really its the staff that make this place, not enough can be said about how good they are, would definitely stay again and recommend to all my friends.

Had a great room. On a corner so 2 sets of windows and room light and airy. Hotel short walk from all the action so was nice and quiet (wouldn't be over summer but that applies to any Galway hotel). Overnight parking quite handy - €8 for 24 hours. Very good restaurant, reasonably priced food. Staff helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here whilst travelling to the cliffs of Moher. Nice location near to the centre of town and comfortable old style rooms. The lady on reception was a bit moody though and the car park is the multi storey about a 5 minute walk away. If travelling to Galway I would probabaly stay here again as its reasonably priced and clean.

Can be noisy if bad neighbours and traffic. Choice of at least 3 types of breakfast. Could be more light in the room.

Perfectly decent room, good location”

Had a good stay in Galway, and was glad to have found a central hotel at the last minute. A shame (for us, at least!) that there's such a thing as a smoking room, but probably better to put up with some residual smells than stay less centrally. Fans outside the room were a bit noisy, too, which was partly to do with us having the windows open to clear the air. Otherwise, though - a good stay. Excellent, helpful staff.
