Enjoyed my stay”
I stayed for one night 15 - 16/4/2022. I made my booking via Agoda. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. 1) check-in: do check-in after 3 pm as they don’t allow early check-in 2) room: got a twin bed room, located on the 3rd floor (highest) which allows you to get the best pool and seaview. All the rooms have a balcony where you can enjoy sunrise and sunset view of the sea. The room is spacious, comfortable, and the basic amenities were provided including free WiFi. However, there were no face towels provided and of course, some wear and tear are to be expected as the hotel is aged. 3) nice swimming pool and gym. 4) beach is clean and view is nice 5) breakfast buffet was not much of a variety, but it was adequate and taste ok for me 6) nice seafood restaurant - Nelayan just located beside the hotel 7) A beach side bar where u can enjoy drinks and light food

exceptionally good”
i cannot sing enough praise for this resort. was welcomed with a friendly smile from all the staffs, smooth check in, then upgraded to a better room for family for no extra charge. breathtaking view from the room on the first floor. clean beach and beautiful scenery around the resort. its a bit dissapointing that the playground was closed. however the pool made up for it. the breakfast on the next day was good and many choices were available. it was also very thoughtful to include ikea "Kalas" cutleries for kids. my 4 year old toddler was able to munch his cereal happily without worrying about glass breaking. best memories were created here. thank you tunamaya !

I stayed here with my husband & our kids aged 2,4&6 y/o. Actually it's a birthday treat for my husband. This hotel didn't offer service for birthday arrangements. They gave me a phone number & I personally made a deal to decorate the room. It went smooth. Upon checking there wasn't any chaos or whatsoever. I managed to make a surprise for my husband. The kids were happy. Love the view from our room. The beach is clean. Just that the lift has unpleasant smell. We didn't like the bihun goreng, the taste was weird. Overall it was a very pleasant stay for us. Will definitely come again next time.

Quick Weekend Get-away”
This is an amazing place! If you want a cozy spot where you can chill and enjoy at the same time, this place is for you! Perfect for couples, families and friends. Tunamaya Hotel is a private resort with its own beach and pool. All the rooms are facing the sea view and definitely has the finest view of sunset. Kudos to Arnel, Leo and "Jericho" who made our stay very unforgettable. We had a great time in the beach bar! Thanks to this 3! Not too mention they have the best place seafood place called Nemalayan Restaurant. Gladys is amazing! Cheers to Atika in the front office for giving us a warm welcome. We will definitely be back and make sure stay longer! This is a must-to-be place!!!💜💜💜

Spacious Room”
I arrived in the mid night, lobby are quite dark, they're on electricy-cost-saving i guess. But it's not a big deal, the room was clean and spacious with balcony, overlooking the sea. No deposit upon check-in required. I stayed in room no. 306-wash basin a bit clogged, with permanent stains on it. Toilet door's lockset was not functioning. Just a walking distance to the beach, breakfast was average with quite a number of selections. Location was good perfect for a quiet and relaxing stay.

Enjoying my holiday”
Pros: 1. Nearby parking area, 50 metres to lobby. 2. Smooth check in. (+- 5 minutes). 3. All rooms have seaview and poolview from balcony, just a matter of which level and which side you get (right/middle/left). Lower level view might have partially obstructed view due to coconut trees. 4. Clean and tidy room. 5. Nearby beach (+- 150 metres). 6. Good water pressure for toilet and shower. No problem with hot water. 7. A variety of breakfast, delicious and tasty. Issues: 1. Aircond is old, functional but takes longer time to cool. 2. Room toilet sink were clogged, the management called to fix the problem. Areas to improve: 1. Can provide carpark with roof.

Clean, well maintained resort with friendly/polite staff”
Pros Clean, well maintained resort eventhough the building looks old. The staff was polite, friendly. Resort near the private beach, beach is extremely beautiful and clean. One thing that i love is their room. Room was spacious, with simple arrangement of furniture,facing the sea. Swimming pool also clean and big. Cons None

Always my top choice”
Have been a regular guest at Tunamaya for the past 5 years. This hotel has never lest us down. Cleanliness, Food, Facilities and the ever friendly and pleasant staff. Very Kids friendly especially its huge pool and clean beach. There is also ample of shade unlike other beaches in Desaru. It will always be our top choice. Keep up the great work

Good place! ”
Was looking for a short trip for the kid, and this place is clean with pools and also near to the sea! And the view is pretty. Just my first experience that I need to pay extra RM30 for the stain on the bed. Didn't really notice it, might be the kid accidentally drop something on the bed. But overall is superb.

best beside beach-staycation”
if you find hotel very near to beach ,this is the right place to stay..the scenery is really beautiful..you can easily access the beach because it is private beach and the pool also side by side. the breakfast also good. For lunch and dinner you can have choice to eat thai boat noodle which is just outside your hotel or seafood( this need to book first).overall im so in love with the resort and definitely will come again and again..

Short walking distance to the beach. Beautiful clean beach. My young children enjoyed both the swimming pool and the beach. Walking distance to nearby seafood restaurant. Food was fantastic. Staff was attentive to our needs. Overall, truly satisfied with our stay.

Awesome customer service”
I celebrated my husbands birthday here. The people were fantastic. The night manager esp i couldnt remember his name. He made sure it was memorablef for me and my hubby. I would like to go back there to stay. The view from the hotel was fabulous. Over looked the sea. All the rooms have sea view because of the building structure. At the end of the day we enjoyed ourselves.

Room is clean & spacious.children enjoyed the swimming pool, gym is facing the beach. Too bad we went thr during monsoon so cant go to the beach-( private beach) breakfast is good with a selection of malay, chinese & western cuisine.. will def come back

The location of the hotel is very good and located on Desaru Beach. The hotel building is quite old. However, the room was comfortable and clean. Gym building located next to the beach. White and clean sandy beach.

Best bang for buck”
Hotel staff is very attentive to requests.. Got our parking reservation for bikes and linked room as requested.. Even got one room free upgrade! Everyone on this trip is satisfied with the stay here.. Facilities is superb, and also the food at Nelayan Seafood too.. Price for seafood is reasonable even comparing to normal shop lot restaurants.. Totally recommended!

Nice and lovely place for family ”
We rented the Royal Suite 1 but the room located far from the elevator. Quite a walk for old folks. Very nice sea view and the pool below, surprisingly not noisy at all. However there were lots of oil stain on the beach, stained our shoes and foot, pretty hard to wash it off. Overall, nice stay and will surely come back again...:-)

Relaxing experience”
Love the hotel! because we have to walk to the end of the floor, they give an upgraded room for us. Really spacious. Very friendly staff. I left my baby's bottle and water bottle in the room after checking out but the staff is very friendly and returned it to us. Keep up the excellent service!
