A gret introduction to Lopburi”

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Ruanmai Resort and Spa and would recommend it for anyone visiting Lopburi and the surrounding area. The owners and staff are polite and helpful and by and large fairly unobtrusive. Although right next to a main raod the resort still provides a little oasis on the edge of the town.

Good for your Body & Wallet”

The location on right on Highway 1 might be a turn-off for some as rooms can be noisy all day and night but the friendly staff and Thai-style wooden decor make us feel right at home. Rooms, though clean and comfortable, are not very large with (in the case of superior double)an awkward layout of the bathroom which, if not locked, can be entered from outside. On the positive side, WiFi works well, there is 24-hour security, and the spa is professionally run even if it is situated in a separate pavilion even closer to the busy main road. Yet the best of all is plentiful breakfast; the owners really know where to get the best local food in Lopburi. Even in Bangkok, it's difficult if not impossible to find the coconut milk-based khanom sai sai (ขนมใส่ไส้) more memorable than those served at Pak Lopburi.

Hidden gem in Lopburi”

The only negative aspect of this guest house is its location: it is directly on the main road out of Lopburi, very distant from the old part of the city. Itt is adjacent to a bar that had live music the night we were there, which was quite loud - although we were too tired for it to affect our sleep. That being said, it is easy to get to this guest house via one of the red "bus" vans that regularly drive up and down the street. The accommodations are very nice - there is a great little garden that runs through the middle of the property, and the atmosphere (aside from the noise of the traffic) is very peaceful. The staff is outstanding: welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is included, and we had what was probably the best Thai massage of our entire 3 week trip here. I highly recommend Ruanmai Resort if you are staying in Lopburi and don't mind staying well outside of the old city. I doubt there is a nicer place in the city.

Authentic Thai Style Hotel”

We had a nice stay in the Ruanmai Resort. In our opinion it is the best place to stay in Lopburi.

lopburi has limited options”

Lopburi is worth a day visit, but not overnight.............monkeys are worth the trip, but you can cover the sites in 8 hours......poor hotel selection in town, not much to do.....but these folks try hard and at least it was clean and though modest, was a decent option. it is quite far from the central town, but again, downtown hotels are very rough........better to just take a day drive from bkk and return, or go to Ayututhaya and spend the night.

Very comfortable. Bathroom/toilet facility is old style Thai. Beautiful relaxing garden , which is surrounded and flanked by guest rooms the way traditional Thai multi- unit hrooms are, provide for the feel of Thai living style. Great Wifi facilities. Staff are wonderful. You will not feel the luxurious 4/5 star amenities but the way of Thai living in genuine Thai verandah hoses on stilts. 3.5 stars from us.

Clean. Easy to reach. Lovely owner and staff”

Location is easy to find. On the main road leading to town. If you have a car it is very easy to get into town, 5-10 mins to the palace. The owner is very friendly and the staff very attentive. The only downside is the noise. Being a wooden row house, their is nothing muffling any sound from outside. You can hear frogs, trucks, etc all night long. If you can, ask for the room at the back of the row. It is OK though if you are staying for 1 night only

I love the joyful vibes and the friendly staffs in Ruanmai.I love their service with smiles.The room is clean and neat.You can find Good massage here.It's very relaxing staying and hanging around in Ruanmai.Would highly recommend people to stay here when you visit Lopburi.Will definitely stay here for my next visit.

Nice small hotel ”

It's a cute resort, but rooms are very dark. Bathroom was not nice. Next to the hotel is a pub and there was like a concert until 2 am. Poor breakfast. Hard to get a taxi due to Lobpuri isn't a touristical place. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Charming hotel and staff”

Very nice but it is far from the city centre.

mosquito repellent issues at this place”

This hotel is run in to a majors problem with the repellent. The mosquito are giantic and there is noway that you can stay away from it.
