2 weeks in Baler”
Rushies Point became Russians Point for two weeks for us and another couple from Russia :) Hosts family was really kind and accommodating. Homer gave me to use his surfboard for free. For me was a new experience playing together with Filipino musicians on stage of Rushies Point bar. Homer also proved a wonderful cook, he prepared the best I ever eat vegetarian burgers, when my girlfriend said that she is tired of meat dishes :) I advise everyone who is going to visit Baler, stay in this lovely hotel.

cheap among the beachfront hotels”
on the saturday of our arrival they were playing loud music outside almost the entire day. the room was bare and poorly decorated, but on the plus side it was quite spacious (the two beds could very easily fit 6 people). the AC worked well. the bathroom was presentable but had no water heater. no wifi, breakfast, or food, just alcohol. as for location, it was beachfront but all the way at one end of Sabang beach. though it was also right next to the Maddox Surf School, which was nice. i would suggest this for budget travelers not looking for luxury. overall we can't complain, thanks to the low price.

Okay Location. That's it.”
It was okay for the price, but definitely lots of areas for improvement. When we arrived in the afternoon, the room had to be cleaned. The room was spacious, but simple, and it was relatively clean. We had the airconditioned room, with a queen/king sized bed, and 2 more single beds on the floor. 2 towels were provided, plus bedsheets, and pillows. No other amenities were provided, which is something we would expect anyway for the price. The toilet area was a bit small, which is okay. But on our second night, the plumbing overflowed. Every time the other adjacent room took a shower, the restroom water level rose up, such that it was threatening to flood the bedroom. Good thing the toilet/restroom floor was not level with the bedroom. The caretakers/owners were not able to resolve this nor paid attention to it while we were there. I would recommend the hotel for the price, the room could fit 4 comfortably, but the overflowing toilet was sort of a deal breaker. So, my advice would be to look at other options first. Costa Pacifica, Bay's Inn, Pacific Waves Inn are all nearby around the area. Other things to expect: no dining area (the restaurant/bar was closed the weekend we were there). No TV, no ref. There is a place to park your car, the beach is just a few steps away, there is a surfing school just outside as well. The area around is a bit rustic. The front desk/information desk could help you hire a tricycle for an arranged tour of the Baler area.
