Wonderful ryokan”
I truly recommend Ryokan Onuma. A small ryokan but with many different types of baths. Don't miss the outdoor bath on the hillside. Best onsen experience ever! The food is also good. In the area there a great scenic places to visit. Finally I must mention the owner of the ryokan. He showed me around and was very helpful. I will definitely come back again.

Family run ryokan w/ 5 inhouse baths”
It's around 5 min walk from the Naruko Gotenyu station. The town is super quiet with nothing around- may be 3 suvenior shops and that's it. The ryokan itself is small. The rooms on 1st and 2nd floor are newer than the rest which were worn out. There are 3 baths on 1st floor (1 is private but free) and 2 on 4th floor (again private). Some baths are old and very tiny. They also have one outside bath around station which they would drive you there for free- which was really nice. Food was great, staff was friendly and tried to speak English. Overall, i enjoyed my stay but i think it's too tiny and town is too quiet for me. And as I've been to more than 20 onsens throughout Jp, I've seen better.

Good ryokan with good onsen ”
Ryokan Onuma runs by the Ohnuma family, staying here is feel like home. The outdoor private onsen is superb! (Don't miss!) There're 8-onsen you can enjoy here. Breakfast and dinner is pretty good and healthy. Don't miss to try the local beer - Naruko Beer. Thank you to Shinji-san and his family for a warm welcome and hospitality. Arigatou Gozaimashita!
