Good onsen and nice dining ”
Good location: approximately 5-7mins walking distance from the train station Nice facilities: equipped with in-house onsen. The outdoor one on the first floor was fascinating. Room is rather big and tidy. The only thing that bother me was the vatilation.

Close to Yufuin JR station and bus terminal ”
Location is good, near JR and bus terminal and Aeon is ~ 8-10 minutes away from hotel! Service is good and impressed! Thank you so much from the buttom of our heart! A bit disappointed thing is that dinner is not too delicious and the great onsen at 1/F only available for female to use in the morning fm 5:00 to 9:30am. If hotel can swap the onsen place with male that will much be better! Overall, I still recommend this hotel and would like to stay again next time!

The onsen were very nice, can enjoy the sunshine in the morning. Close to attractions. The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of food. The water in the room was not hot enough.

nice outdoor onsen. good location”
the hotel is old but kept well. can walk from the station. My room has a mountain view with ryokan style. The best thing is onsen. The dinner is normal, recommend eat outside hotel. My problem is, I have booked dinner with hotel for 2. Upon check in, I told the reception that no beef for dinner. She looked at clock that was 3:15 and her face was worried then she put me on the phone with translator to explain that they already prepared the food but ,my dinner is 7!. I was thinking that to change just small beef for sukiyaki to be pork why is a big deal. After talking over the phone back and forte for manytime . They ok to change it.However, when dinner time, one of us only have pork. I asked the waitress that I told them to change already .She came back with the answer that I can change but with the charge of Y750! both of us was surprised and gave up so we just don't eat it.. so I recommend to eat outside for a better choice of food.

An ordinary hot spring hotel”
Price is affordable. Breakfast and dinner set are with a variety of food choice. Taste is up to standard. Hot spring is ordinary, yet comfortable. Room is spacious. Free shuttle service to JR station was only provided during check-out but not check-in which is quite disappointing because many Japanese ryokan provided free shuttle service during check-in when I arrived at Yufuin station. The most disappointing experience was that the fridge was not working and it cannot freeze food and fruits. I told to the front desk and she let me talk to the company of the fridge who explained that the fridge cannot make food cold but only to keep the original cold food to remain cold. The function of the fridge was to keep the temperature of the food but not to freeze the food. What a ridiculous answer.

The location is very near to train station. The staffs at dining hall needed more proper training. They didn't pay much attention to the customers. Lots of them were from overseas, probably the reason that they were lack of knowledge of the culture. Ovetall, they were friendly. The japanese dinner and buffet breakfast were below average with the price. Couldn't really see the passion of the chef by looking at the food's presentation and taste. Think the breakfast was to make sure that the tour group members have enough food to fill up their stomach. Onsen was nice. Hope they keep it up.

I’m glad I’ve chosen to stay here for two nights with the breakfast and dinner included option. The meals were delicious. The Onsen (public baths) were just great. The ryokan was just a 5 to 8 minute walk from Yufuin station. Overall, it was a memorable stay I had in Yufuin.

Clean room. Excellent futon. Nice mountain view. The in-room shower is weak so it's better to wash at the big baths. Excellent hot and cold spring. Both dinner and breakfast are delicious. Helpful crew. 10 mins walking to Yufuin JR station, accessibility depends on the weather.

Good value for the town”
I staying at this hotel with the no dinner option. The price is good and it still includes a decent breakfast. The hotel does NOT have none smoking rooms. However, the room we stayed at was cleaned to perfection and does not have any lingering cigarette smell ***other reviewers do have bad experience with some other rooms*** Unfortunately the day I stay was very stormy and rain or else Mt. Yufu would be in a beautiful clear view. If anything, this hotel should have very amazing view. Location wise it's actually about 10-15 min walk from the station and does fee like walking into a more local neighborhood. The 24-hr supermarket is close, but because of how the road is arranged, it requires you to loop around which is not that convenient. A Lawsons is much closer by. The onsen bath is actually on the 1st and 2nd floor and rotates overnight. The 2nd floor outdoor bath area have clear view of Mt. Yufu too. Bath facility wise it's your average Japanese hotel onsen and not special

Convenient, Relaxing, Nice onsen, well-managed”
The hotel is just 5 min walk from JR station or bus terminal. I chose it because of its location convenience and relatively large onsens. Free shuttle is available. I can see the hotel is well-managed. The staff are well-trained in greeting, check-in, escorting you to the room, prepared everything in your room before you arrive ( e.g. boiled hot water ). The dinner menu is well-planned too. There are 2 onsens at 1st and 2nd floor. Available for men and women in turn. The 1st floor onsen is larger with better view. My room is large with beautiful mountain view. Very nice.
