I stayed here for 1 night, while transiting through Qatar. My room was clean and tidy but on the small side and the air condition is very noisy! The area is not the nicest, but there are quite a few restaurants and mini-mart around. The staff were pleasant enough and for the first time ( of almost 20 years travelling to the Middle East ) I was surprised the Filipina ladies at the Front desk were not really warm or very friendly. I tried to use both the steam room and sauna but they were not functioning, maybe you have to ask reception to switch it on!? The pool was deserted and the roof top bar closed. The breakfast for 35 Qatari riyals was, in my view, overpriced as food choice and quality was not very good!

Convenient location, smelling restaurant, daily cleaning is ok. AC sounds lik jet turbine, too noisy. Bathroom leaks water out. Overall it's a good budget hotel and satisfies basic needs. Rooms are small for couples and families.

I enjoyed Doha, glad I visited the city during an airline stopover. Safir Doha Hotel was an excellent choice. Once again, Agoda helped me pick the perfect hotel to fit my budget. As always, Agoda customer reviews were extremely helpful and accurate. The staff performance could not have been better, extremely helpful. The room was nice size, cozy bed, fast free wifi, nice bathroom. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the restaurant opened very early (4:30am) for those guests like me who had early departing flights. The hotel even provided a free 5am shuttle to the airport. One thing that should not be missed in Doha is the large souk (old outdoor market) which is a few minutes away by taxi. Best enjoyed in the evening when temperatures drop. The modern Doha skyline can be viewed across the road from the souk. If I return to Doha, I will definitely stay at Safir Doha Hotel again.

A very nice place ”
I found this hotel in agoda.com. I was in the previous days in another hotel for the same price and I immediately felt the difference. Safir hotel is a great hotel: rooms are big, modern, clean, with nice shower and good complementary kits. There is also at the PH floor a very pleasefull swimming pool and a great gym with all the essential cardio and body building machineris. And also a sauna, jacuzzi and stem room. The staff is also very nice and ready to support you in every request. Eventually the price is very compelling. The best thing is the restaurant with very cheap business meal and western food crispy and healthy. Only drowback that I have to say: the not allow you to bring a guest on the table beside the pool unless pay an extra. This is not very pleasant because if your guest not use the facilities but just stay on table inside the pool for example a business conversation does not make sense to me to do not allow him the free acces. They maybe solve this problem.

Great hotel with wonderful staffs ”
Very clean hotel rooms. Fantastic staffs. They even tried to accommodate my flight schedule and arranged for late check out at 6pm! The staffs were very prompt even though we checked in at 2.30am. Very nice lobby. There are some local eateries right outside the hotel too. Thank you for everything. We will definitely come back again if we ever pass by Doha again!

The Safir Doha offers nice big rooms (with 3-seater sofa) and generally good service. Was able to take advantage of the rooftop pool -- the pool itself a rarity, although not many guests using it! Location is close to the hotel, although still a 15-20 minute drive to central areas of town.

I enjoyed my stay at Safir Hotel, two items of concern for me was the aircon system in room very noisy difficult to control. Carpet was in need of replacement, apart from that it was good value would consider staying there again.

I stayed from in Safir Hotel from 17th to 22nd November 2016. 1. I have very bad experience for Breakfast price included in Total price? Hotel staff not ok to know that breakfast is included in room rate! And arguments by staff at restaurant to pay for breakfast? I don't know why? 2. I complained to staff that Qibla Pointer in the room points toward SOUTH instead of WEST but no action until I checked out!

The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful, much more so than at the Grand Hyatt where I was actually working. The room was great, clean snd comfortable. The shower in the bathroom had very hot water and it was difficult to get the temperature just right, it was almost always too hot. The buffet breakfast is much better than the hotels I've stayed in previously in Qatar and Kuwait. The rooftop pool is clean however the bar there is not used which is a pity - the staff will bring food and drinks to the pool from downstairs. They have a nice little gym with weights - not just a couple of machines as in some hotels. The best thing about staying here was the clean room and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble.

My stay was okay. The conceirges were not of good help with luggage. The elevators very small with poor information and the elevator doors closes too quickly The coffee table in my room was dirty. Their limousine drivers charged different prices for same trips. I had pancake in their restaurant and I was told the honey they gave me was a maple syrup Regardless of the above, I had an awesome time in DOHA. THe Islamic museum is cool place to see , qatara beach and the banana island was lots of fun. The open markets gives good bergains for your money. Also Give opportunities to experience eateries of different nations The city is very vibrant and full of energy

Stayed in Qatar for the first time, found the hotel online and after reviews decided to book. the staff are super friendly and went out of their way to help with anything they could. the room was a bit of a disapointment. I wanted a lock box, but when i went to use it, the front fell off and all the wires were hanging out. i left valuables in front office lock box( a real pain). i asked for non smoking room , but it still smelt like smoke. overall 7.5 is a very valid score.

Best deal close to airport”
My girlfriend and I chose this hotel because it looked to be the nicest place for the money close to the airport. We arrived late and left early so I can't speak to location for sightseeing. Hotel transfer bus is same cost as a taxi from airport but for some reason the hotel bus was complimentary in the morning. The staff was helpful and the room, although not very large, was clean and quite nice. A five minute walk to Crowne plaza which has a selection of bars and restaurants. We did not check out the hotel restaurant but they did have one.
