Don't Waste Your Time And Money”
This hotel uses a security card key. Once the card is removed from its slot from the inside to conserve energy, it shuts all power off to the room. Lights, TV, air conditioning, and refrigerator all gets shut off. If you leave your room in the morning, you will be returning to a hot room. There will be no cold water to drink. And if you have food in the refrigerator, it will get spoiled. Vietnam overall is a very hot and humid country. Traveling with another person can be a hassle. If one of you decide to go out, make sure you stay out for a very long time. If one of you decide to stay behind to sleep the card key has to stay behind to power the air conditioner and lights. You won't have a key to open the door if you come back early or you will have to wake up the other person to open the door for you. The air conditioning in the lobby gets shut off at 10:00 pm. If you decide to hang out in the lobby after 10:00 pm, bring an extra t-shirt or two as you will be sweating a lot. The staff from the door man, security, front desk people, and taxi are very friendly and helpful. Management on the other hand desperately needs to be replaced. Vietnam is a hot and humid country, you cannot be cheap with air conditioning and refrigeration. A hotel room is supposed to be home away from home. If guests are comfortable, they will return. Bac Lieu Hotel was once the biggest and most well knowned in Bac Lieu for many years. Management had ruined that reputation. It is currently under renovation with a new name of Saigon Bac Lieu Hotel. Hopefully, there will be new management. If you make your guests feel uncomfortable and troublesome by being cheap, it does not matter how much renovation you do your hotel will still be empty.

I checked in around 10 PM. And It was late. The hotel was old facility. There were mosquito in room. The breakfast was good. The recipient was friendly and supportive. Recommended for coupe travel.

This is the first time I stay in 3 stars hotel but I have to take my luggage by myself to room when check in and out. Phone in room can't call also. The price in agoda and when I paid, which are different. Breakfast finish very early at 8 AM.

The facilities was old. Staffs were not as much friendly as other hotels. But It looks like the best hotel in this area. Couldn't find any better place to sleep at night.

Not so much happy at this place because I know the hotel has bed bugs. My sister was bitten by those bed bugs. Her legs has bed bugs bite and it extremely ugly. Can't do much for my sister but I would not recommended. We even booked the best room(VIP).

An extremely overrate hotel,”
Awful, considering the price and its "reputation." The room was dusty and dirty, bathroom was leaking water, bathroom door couldn't even be closed not to mention locked!, broken phone, no outlets for even its own night lamp- as if the lamp was there for decoration! The breakfast was average considering the other aspects of the hotel. Just awful. Try the other motels/hotels and good luck. Better yet, don't even bother visiting this awful town.

We have stayed at this hotel once before and knew what to expect but the choice for advanced booking in the town are limited so we had no option but to stay here. We booked a VIP room this time hoping it would be better, we needn't have bothered and could have saved some money. The room was filthy, from the encrusted shower heads to the dirty refrigerator to the dead gecko and other junk under the sofa. Complaints were met with indifference and nothing was done to rectify. One morning they were having a wedding reception and most of the breakfast buffet was cleared away by 8am, there was no warning to guests staying at the hotel, consequently a lot of paying customers had to go out of the hotel to find breakfast. Totally unacceptable in my view. The standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel is poor, the staff are surly and unhelpful. There are a few unadvertised hotels in the town and we took some time out to visit a few to get business cards so we can advance book somewhere else next time we go there.

This hotel is a old state run and now private run. Not a modern facility up to date but that’s all you got in BL. But locationwise is good near market. For traveler not speaking Vietnamese this consider safe and central location.

Bac Lieu Hotel”
Worse hotel to stay at. Seemed no one cared about customer service. Booked three vip rooms. It was all semi clean. No hot water, but water wasn't cold either so didn't mind. My wife and kids on the other hand couldn't handle the cool showers. Porter tried to kiss my 2 yr old daughter a few times didn't like that at all. No help with the luggage when I checked out. Window wouldn't shut properly so I could hear traffic all night.

The room is spacious, with view over the old mansion of Bac Lieu's rich bachelor. Hotel served breakfast but limited choices, delicious options can be found outside the hotel, but for what it's worth, we had a pleasant stay and can recommend.

Very poor set up, noisy place, room smelled of smoke even though we asked for non smoking room. Breakfast is extremely limited. Breakfast room needs clean up and not leaving the left over eating items on the floor. Orange juice is powdered. Fry eggs had so much cooking oil. Staff chatted outside the corridor loudly. Internet came and go… Ceiling need touch up as got leakages. There is one young front staff Ms. Hang who was very nice and smart. Good asset for this hotel.
