Salalah Rotana Resort”
We recently stayed at the property in Nov’22 and liked very much the overall resort, private beach area, facilities like kids club (did not use though), tennis courts, cycling track. Rooms are pretty decent in size and will recommend ground floor rooms for it comes with patio/lounge like set up and clusters closer to beach (5-8). Staff is extremely nice, shout out to a few Bangladeshi, Indian and Tunisian staff - very courteous and always helpful. While the breakfast “spread” was pretty Ok but can easily do removing few items and adding perhaps a little bit of Omani cuisine. (Same for dinner). Had an incident at the resort (won’t mention as it was no fault of Resort) but the staff quickly changed my rooms and property manager Mr Ebrahim was extremely kind and courteous. Location wise - if you plan to visit Wadi Darbat, Mughsail etc - then this location is right in the middle with most locations (sinkhole, wadi, ayns, taqah and mirbat castle etc) are much closer from this side of the city (50-70 kms 😝). Finally - it’s a beautiful resort, wonderful people. PS - no Indian food at hotel/nearby.

Every thing was excellent. Stunning views. Very courteous and receptive staff. We were in Hawana for a week. One day in Rotana and the rest in an apartment. I didn't know Rotana will be so good, otherwise we'd have stayed there for our entire vacations. (The Hawana project is near Taqa, half an hour drive from Salalah)

Best property to stay in Salalah”
The property is the best you can get in Salalah but the staff are not managing it well. We got checkin after 3 hours as room was not ready & when we got the room it was not as described. They compensated with a upgrade though.

Serious cleaningness issue”
I have stayed in Salalah Rotana from 10th to 12th 2 nights, upon check in I have requested for an entra bed, and hotel provided extra bed with blanket, I slept on the extra bed for half night only and start to have itchiness, didn't pay much attention thought it was from the mosquitos in the mountains and 2nd night I slept with my kids in the King Bed. After we checked out from the hotel, the itchiness getting more and more and became all red dots over on my legs, and the treatment for mosquitos doesn't help at all. I had to check with pharmacy doctor in Dubai, and they told me it's allergy after the bed bug bites. Until now I'm still suffering from the itchiness and talking allergy medication. I have to say, this is the hotel I would never recommend any of our friends to book again, rooms r too dark, everything in the room is too old, waited for 30 minutes no one help with luggage.

All wrong at the No-tana”
The culture among the staff there is No....I am a gold Rotana member....any upgrade or effect on the room? Just a short we're full no. After my first night no housekeeping...when I called they told me it's your fault, you put the do not disturb sign out...I did not of course. I asked the restaurant for a to go coffee early before a drive...No. Need an extra towel? No, what's YOUR room number. Room service one night took an hour an then they forgot items. I asked for late check out and I'll the front desk said ok ...but before that came...I started getting calls every hour before what I arranged. When you checking out??? And at check out what I asked is they hold the room w one card and I would check out w another...a common request...they had OVER charged the first and it could not be refunded...No. they should be called the Notana. If you want to feel most unwelcome at a resort...by all men's book it.

A great place in Salalah”
One of the best resorts to be while in salalah. we had split our stay between rotana resort and crowne plaza, and rotana was the first half of our stay. we immediately regretted moving to crowne plaza and really wished going back. although a little out of the way, rotana is a self sufficient hotel where you probably can spend the whole weekend within the resort. great restaurants and nice place for a stroll. we would definitely book this resort again when we are in salalah.

Fantastic quiet location. Best kept secret.”
Very relaxing and luxurious. The beach is unparalleled. Great waves to play in. The bang for buck is astounding. Sadly, nobody here knows what a body board is (or surfing!!), there isn't a sailboat/sail in sight. Generally, not enough things to do that one wouldn't find in a city hotel, but don't let that fool you into thinking this hotel isn't great; it is world class. The wadis and sinkholes in the area are awe inspiring, but underdeveloped. They're not for the faint of heart to explore, except Wadi Darbat. Salalah itself is 17km away and looks like it has seen better days, so it doesn't need to be any closer, especially since it has a large cargo port that hurts the eyes. The local bananas are probably some of the best anywhere. We took a look at the local Hilton; it looks like a cheap motel compared to Rotana.

Amazing Hotel with beautiful beach”
All of the staffs are very friendly and polite. We felt so comfy and cozy in the hotel. Everywhere you can see people smiling. The beach is so beautiful well taken care of, there is even a dolphin view point, where you might see dolphins on a good day. We didn't have the lucl since our stay in the hotel was influeced by the tropical storm luban. All the staff were very good prepared for the storm and put our security as the first priority. If you are in Rotana Salalah Hotel, no worry at all, you are in good hands.

Fantastic hotel. We enjoyed it so much we stayed a a extra night. The staff were amazing and upgraded us to a beautiful suite for our final night. We are always impressed by the staff at Rotana hotels and the Salalah staff were fantastic as always! We will definitely come back!

Amazing resort!!! If there was more than 5 stars rating I would definitely rate it !! Everything was perfect and just wow I really enjoyed it and willing to come again over and over!! The only negative point is the room , it was so slippery that my children and I slipped so many times !! And the lights in the room was dim which I didn’t like, also there was a door separating us from the next room and the ppl were soooo noisy in there !! other than that it was brilliant experience!!
