Wonderful place, great location!”
I highly recommend this hotel having perfect location: just 2 minutes drive from airport, 7 minutes walk to Iguazu Falls national park and Birds park. Perfect breakfats and attentive personnel!

Literally my favourite hotel in the world ”
I love travelling and have travelled to some incredible places and hotels such as natural thermal springs in tabacon or an old monastery in Amalfi. Santa ranks amongst our favourite hotels if not the favourite. The place has everything is easy access to the bird park a stroll to iguazu falls and 5 minute walk by taxi from the airport. With outdoor jacuzzis beautiful sunsets an amazing gym with a view and incredible pool the place is a delight and I will be returning with my mum to celebrate her birthday. They key factor is the incredible staff who are so attentive and add the little difference that mean so much.

Excellent Location & Amenities”
+ Literally a 5 minute walk to the Igauzu Falls park entrance! And Helisul / Bird Park are all right there too. + Spa, restaurant, gift shop, nice amenities + Concierge is helpful for activities, and also arranging a taxi (to Argentina side , etc) + WiFi is good - The main manager man at the front (with glasses) was unfriendly and unhelpful. He checked in 5 other local people (that were behind me) before even offering to help me. The lady (with the glasses) and all other staff were very friendly and helpful though. The top manager shouldn’t be so cold. -The rooms are fairly nice with TV and AC. The tiles in the bathrooms are a bit dated though.

Perfect location for Iguacu waterfall exploration”
Great location, airport 5 min by car, Iguacu waterfall 300 meter walk. Kind receptionist staff, beautiful garden and pool. They also have an inhouse tourism coand organize trips to the Argentinian sidr of the waterfall. Wifi was working at times (50%) and the bar's menu should be improved, until then definately don't order pizza. Overall it's a good place for exploring Iguacu, I woupd recommend at and would book again.

Exceptional”
It was a short one night trip to San Martin but wow was I blown away by the facilities and the staff. Everyone from the front desk, to housekeeping, bar tenders, pool attendants and cooks were impeccable. My cousin and I had the best time! A million thanks to everyone at the San Martin for such a pleasant stay! One last note, the resort is situated next to the parque das aves, so the birds can be heard from the pool area and get quiet noisy but we didn't mind it. It added another layer to the jungle experience of the resort. Will definitely return next time I come to the waterfalls! It literally is steps away from the entrance!

great location, nice facilities”
The place is more expensive than most others in Foz do Igauzu, however it is 5-10 min WALKING to the gate of the Falls (a huge plus). It is a lot cheaper than the hotel within the park itself. So if you want to do things in town, you will need a taxi/car. It is also very close to the Airport (5 mins ride). Taxi fare R20 (Nov 2011). The room is standard with TV, phone, refrig, nice and clean bathroom, comfortable beds. There is a bar for late night meals. The restaurant serves full breakfast buffet which is decent but nothing to write home about. Around the hotel is a nice garden, and little "forest" in the back where you can stroll around. The swimming pool seemed nice. There is a decent exercise room.

Nothing to complain about, great stay!”
Fantastic. Everything you will want from a hotel, with comfortable rooms, bed and shower. Clean, efficient and great staff. Right next to Iguacu Falls which makes it convenient, but also isolated from the world. Which is not a bad thing, given also that the restaurant has decent priced menus, and is not out to rip you off.

San Martin ”
The hotel is within walking distance to Foz Iguacu. The room condition is good. However, the restaurants are not up to standard and very pricey. We experienced a blackout during our stay. There is a tour desk at the lobby. Very far away from town.

Mized feelings about this place”
Some high and lows on this hotel. See which are more important to you to help inform your booking, or not. PlusPoints - walk to the entrance of the Falls (Brazil side), helicopter flight over the Falls and Bird Park (all which were brilliant by the way) - local bus stops outside - close to Brazil Iguazu airport - hotel, room and grounds really spacious and clean - didn't experience the rudeness we'd read from others from the hotel staff. Plenty of smiles all round - the pool was inviting after a day doing the sights. LowPoints - Hotel food. Breakfast choice limited. Dinner poor. Set buffet priced at 50 Reals which wasn't great but only what you get a la carte at a higher price. Bland but nothing else on offer nearby. - bar closes at 11.30pm. Hotel in shutdown by midnight and the city is a fair drive away to party. For the price we paid in high season through Agoda.com we couldn't fault the value compared to what else was on offer. "

Gd! But a littttttleeeee inflexible about check in”
It was great, as per my previous review. However, i made a separate extension night booking to my original agoda booking. They were kind enough to allow us not to change rooms, but insisted on us checking out first and then re-checking in. Can't pay at one shot. Otherwise, lovely hotel with no complaints whatsoever!

Nice hotel in beautiful park”
Good hotel located in a beautiful garden, swimming pool and a private jungle trail! The entrance to the Iguazu Falls (Brazilian side) is in 10 minutes walking distance. A private Bird Park is next door and highly recommended to visit. The hotel is nice, well kept, clean. The staff is friendly, helpful; English is widely spoken. The Tour office is knowledgable and helpful to explain and arrange tours. The rooms are a bit small. The only complain is the Internet connection, especially in the rooms). The breakfast offers a rich buffet. The dinner was not exciting and/or cheap.

Location”
The hotel was located within walking distance to the entrance of the park to the brazil side of the falls and parque da alvas(bird park). The hotel itself was a decent stay. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. There was endless amount of hot water in the shower. The WiFi was in the medium range. . The free breakfast was the basic. I didn’t like eggs but rest was fine. Fruit cereal bread and juices. The pool was nice but the trail they have isn’t worth the walk. The staff was great. Front desk, maids, and restaurant/bar service was excellent. I would stay here again if I returned for the location itself.

Superb hotel near Iguazu Falls”
I stayed for 2 days and was very happy with this hotel. you can walk to Birds Park and Iguazu Falls. Some souvenir shops located opposite and also in the hotel. Staff was very warm and friendly. Breakfast was good in a large restaurant. Lots of place to chill out and relax for both adults and children. Room was clean but small, nicely decorated in white. Airport is just few minutes away. You can book tours and taxi from the travel agent at the Lobby. A really pleasant experience staying here.

Great location”
It was very good. The only let down was none of the staff or even reception could speak Fluent English. Expect more from a 4 star hotel located next to probably the most visited Tourist destination in Brazil. Room service was poor and it took 3 attempts to request and iron and board until a waiter turned up with a Menu card. At which point, I gave up and went out in crushed clothes. Service is at snail pace and not always with a smile. Then maybe I am just spoilt and this is the standard in Brazil. The room I had was clean but the bath room was dated. Beds are comfortable and common areas are clean (carpeted areas are looking tired). I would recommend this hotel for the location and it's peaceful surroundings. Will stay here again.

the most chaotic reception I have ever seen”
As you can read on many review forums, the reception is pure chaos. They never know which room to give you and they never give you the room you have booked. But these days they have come up with the "smart" idea that they have "upgraded" you. We were all "upgraded"! My upgraded room: two tiny, uncomfortable twin beds (I booked a double) in an old room with depressing furniture. The food is worse than I had read about. As suggested by many travellers, I avoided the buffet and ordered a la carte. Nothing to do. The food is just crap. No matter how many bad reviews they get, they will always have business: they are 5 mins walk from the entrance of the Iguacu Park. Just stay one night and escape.

Great location right next to falls”
the best part of the hotel was its great location - just 1.50 kms from the airport and merely 300 metres (walking distance) from the iguazzu national park and right next to the park du aves which made it so convenient. the hotel was fall of natural greenery with scenic waterfalls at the entrance and beautiful swimming pool leading right into the jungle. the hotel also had a dedicated travel agency right inside making it very comfortable to make bookings both to the brazil and the argentina side of the falls. the only downside was we did have some difficulties in communication with some hotel stuff who were not very conversant in english.
