Most amazing cheapest hostel ive been to in my entire life”
Exceptional Facilities, clean bathroom and kitchen, Nice fresh sheets. Also a few minute walk to Gion, Ninenzaka and Pontocho! For 800 Yen it was quite a steal! (45 minute walk to JR Kyoto if you like walking long distances) The father of the owner threw a fun karaoke party at the common lounge and even took us out for a drink in Pontocho. It was one of my best stays. Really worth it you guys. お勧め!

Amazing Staff”
The place is clean, the people are friendly, the facilities are confortable. What it makes the difference though it's María, the receptionist and manager of the place. She was always there for help when needed and she was able to communicate in many languages. She also gave accurate recommendations on where to go to discover Kyoto. Stay quality exceeds price!”
Stayed here for 5 nights. Since I was staying there, I only had had to pay 500yen for a plate of toast (2 pieces, two small sausages and potato salad with butter and jam) and coffee. The reception area is also a cafe area with sockets to charge your phone, use laptop etc. I love the sofa bed where they have a small portable table on it to place your foods and drinks. There's two sets of dryer and washing machine on the 1st floor with the kitchen and lounge area. They have two medium sized refrigerator to store your foods in the kitchen as well as on the 2nd floor. The reception is at the ground floor. No vending machine inside the hostel but there's a convenience store less than 4 minutes away. Location wise is very good. Near enough to the Kiyomizu-Gojo Keihan train and there's a bus stop nearby the hostel. Very clean. The staffs can converse in English and very helpful. Cons: the beds might be too small for some people and it's quite hot. Recommend bringing portable mini fan here especially if you can't stand the heat. Other than that, best stay I've ever had!

Had a very nice stay”
The staff are so friendly and they smile everytime..:) I only stayed a night here but the experience was awesome, they let me left my baggage until evening and allowed me to use the restroom even after I was already checked out. Very nice place as well, bed was spacious enough, with 2 outlets for charging gadgets. Thanks again, definitely worth your money, will comeback and recommend this place to my fellow travellers. Keep up the good work!

It is very close to a bus stop. Location is top! Also very clean, i like the kitchen, you can use the utensils and cook there. But there is no separate luggage room. Lugages are stored in an open empty space near the kitchen.

There are many options for train lines in this area, places for eating and not dangerous at all in night time. I am a girl and here I feel safe eventhought I was be late about 1 am.

the hostel is near some famous places so I could walk there in the early morning, it is clean with cozy atmosphere and helpful staff. Unstable wifi and late check in time (4pm) were down points but I was allowed to stay on the second floor to take rest when I arrived early so in general it was a nice stay

Good location near bus stop Gojozaka. Walking distance to Kiyomizu-dera and Gion Area. Convenience stores nearby to buy mineral water since hostel doesn’t provides (not sure if the tap water is drinkable). Shower room, kitchen and laundry room on 2nd floor. Nice common room and cafe on the first floor (didn’t try the food). The room isn’t soundproof, you can hear car engine from the highway—this might be a problem for light sleepers. Also, you can hear every movement in the room; someone zipping bag, open the door, etc. Other than that, if you’re not light sleepers, this hostel is nice.

Nice hostel with good bunks, showers, kitchen and social space. Only negatives were internet was un-useable on some floors, and check in at 4pm is rather late.
