Great hospitality”
Pros: warm shower and electric blanket, small fire in lobby area, super friendly hosts, very clean facilities, comfortable bed. Cons: hot water takes half an hour to heat up, room can get really cold in winter as there is no heating. On my first night there were also some other guests who played music really loudly and it was difficult to sleep, but not docking the hostel for it as I don’t think it was their fault, and to be fair I had been trying to get an early night as I was hiking the next day.

Very good”
Sapa cloudy mountain hostel is good if you want quietness from Sapa town.. it’s 10 min walk one way from the town.. the room was cold, not sure if there was heating but the blanket is really warm. The bed was clean and nice.. it’s good value for your money but they lock the doors at 1130pm.. I had to knock on the windows so they let me in, 2 nights in a row. The staff is nice and let me in.. I recommend if you are an early sleeper, love quietness, or just need a night to stay.

Perhaps much nicer in the warm/summer season ”
We stayed here only for one night. The place is nice; however, in the winter, extremely cold as there was no heater in the room we stayed in, and to my knowledge there isn't one in any other room. To be honest, we weren't expecting it to be this cold, but it was. And though, despite the host's most sincere efforts to make us warm and comfortable (they gave us electric blankets and extra duvets), it was almost impossible to stay out of the bed as the room itself was very cold and kind of damp with moisture from outside. There are some cracks between the window and the wall so the cold air gets inside easily. There is quite a bit of mould in the room too probably due to the wet climate of Sapa. Upon arrival we had to wait for 30 minutes before someone showed up to show us to the room even though we communicated to the person via email our arrival time and once there we again emailed to inform that we are waiting. There was only an elderly lady who could speak English (well, we can't speak Vietnamese either sadly) or read as we tried translating some things on the phone. Also, the views from the windows weren't great. In fact, there was some construction going on right outside our room so we could see and hear the workmen in the early morning hours and late afternoons (we were mostly out during the day). The Internet speed was good though. We actually managed to watch a film or two on our laptops. We never used the TV that was in the room – it looks a bit ancient anyway, but it didn't bother us as we rarely watch TV anyway. The bathroom was okay. We are not busy travelers so as long as there is hot water and okay pressure in the shower – which there was – we are fine. Unfortunately no food is provided at the hotel nor are there many options nearby expect for the town centre which is about 10 minute walk down the hill. If you like walking and are fit enough to walk up and down hills, there shouldn't be an issue. To summarise, we would only stay here again in the

Great staff and astonishing view!”
The pros would be how nice is the area and how close is from the town center, the staff always nice and helpful. There are no cons really! Everything was perfect besides the small hike you have to make to go back to the hostel at the end of the day ( a minor thing if you ask me). What stood out was the availability of the owner and dedication to it's clients! We had the check in between 8-9 am but we arrived at 6:30 am and he opened us the door with a huge smile, check us in and offered us tea! We had also a great experience with the room since we booked a twin room but because the tripe room was free and had a better view (to the town and mountains) the owner just gave us the bigger one with no extra costs! The last but also important detail is that we needed to rent a scooter but the hostel didn't had any motorcycle free back then, but the owner called is friend on purpose and asked him to bring us a scooter with petrol! You definitely won't find a better place in Sapa!

Thank you for all
Great budget stay in Sapa”
We had a pleasant stay at cloudy mountain. The room had two large double beds with electric blankets (which came in useful in the cold nights), and all the facilities you needed apart from a fridge. The family who live/run the accommodation were lovely and helpful but due to the room being in their family home, it could get quite noisy in the evenings with the TV. The rice fields and Sapa town are all in walking distance of the accommodation.

The most hospitable hostel I've ever been”
The family welcomed us with cups of hot tea in pretty cold weather when we just arrived. They are so kind and hospitable. The hostel is just about 400m up to center of Sapa so it's really nice to take a little walks down town. The house owner - he even took us back home when we hung out far away at the late night. That's really touching. I definitely come back whenever I come through Sapa and recommend this to our friends.

Home with the SOFTEST bed! ”
This place became our home in Sapa! We found it when we were searching for a place to stay at 5am, when our booked hostel couldn't check us in and we needed some sleep. I almost cried with happiness, when I lied in the bad - the SOFTEST bed in whole SE Asia (4 months and still going). We came back the day after from our hostel and stayed for 5 more days. It was raining a lot, so we truly made ourselves at home. The family who owns the place are the most honest and loveliest people. (They run behind us down the hill to give us monay back as they thought we paid too much - so honorable!) We booked the motorbike with them - the company brought quite nice bike up to the hill for us, which was nice. Pros: Tea and coffee for free, spacious soft bed, hair-dryer to borrow, guilt if you have room off the road Cons for this place: No heating - so when it rains, nothing dries (at all!). The owner doesn't speak English that well, but he is the loveliest person so with a bit of body language and patience you will manage. (The daughter speak very well!!!) Ohhhh and yes, it is up hill. Recommendation for food is a hidden gem called "24 Restaurant" on Fansipan Street. It doesn't look at great from outside, but it is affordable yummy food. (Beef on lemon grass and chilli or Fried spring rolls were amazing).

A worth mention homestay in sapa”
the hostel owner and his family are all very friendly, fed us tons of information. his daughter can speak fluent english and she is very helpful. we also rent a motorbike from them and they even give us rain coat and gloves cause that is freezing outside. there is around 500 m from sapa town center so either you can rent a bike or a short walk will do. not forget to mention that their bed is comfy and probably best bed i slept on my entire vietnam trip!

Exceptional accomodation ”
We stayed here for 4 nights in a standard double bed room. This place was easy to find. We arrived in Sapa at 5am, they kindly gave us a pot of tea and allowed us to check in without extra charge. The room and bathroom were very clean. With warm blankets and hot water. The hostel is approximatey 400m from the town. The family will do eveything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The always offered us tea and food. Cannot speak more highly of the family and hostel.

Thanks for a great stay”
We enjoyed our time at this hostel. We paid for a double room with ensuite. Conveniently we were able to check in early, around 10am so we could freshen up before a trek around Sapa. The staff here were very helpful, particularly the young girl who spoke fantastic English! She suggested routes for us to walk, villages to see and she also helped us book a bus to Ha Giang - giving us a lift to the bus station too! We would stay here again.

Perfect place to stay!”
The hostel is great! The rooms are big, comfortable and clean!! The location is convenient, close to the centre! The owners were really friendly and kind with us! We bought with them the bus from Sapa to Hanoi cheaper than outside. Highly recommend!!

Exceptional”
The room is big and spacious and so is the bathroom. They do have hot shower which you'll be happy for since it's absolutely freezing in sapa. The room is cold but they've put electric blanket in the bed and it is amazing! They also provided a kettle and some tea just outside the room and a hair dryer if you need one. We have nothing to complain about but I would just want to say the location is not in the middle of the action and you do have to walk up hill to get to it. Which is not a problem at all but something to keep in mind. Definitely recommend this place.

Friendly family - we would stay here again. ”
Very nice friendly staff. The daughter speaks English. Wifi goes in and out a bit. Tv has English movie channels which is great. They serve breakfast. There are towels and you can ask if you need your room cleaned. It is up the hill in Sapa town. A bit of fitness is needed to go up and down the hills in Sapa. Only a few mins walk to the centre. They hire bikes.

Friendly staff, was nice meeting the owners and learning about Vietnamese culture. The beds were very comfy and we were even provided with electric blankets, perfect in the winter weather of Sapa. The room was next to the road which meant that it was slightly loud and in the middle of thre night some drunks guys came in but the owners were very apologetic about it. Was stay here again and recommend to friends.

Nice place to visit Sapa”
At 10-15 min by foot from the city center, we prefer this situation than in the center. The girl of the owner is a nice english speaker. The wifi was good and bed extra smooth. The room was good but you heard some noise from outdoor. They can provide a scooter for 120k/day, it was a correct one but it's possible to find better scooter for 100k in the Center. Finally, we appreciate this hostel and it's a good place to start trekking and discovered the area.

Best staff in Sapa”
This has so far been the best stay in all of Vietnam. The room was spacious and fully equipped, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The owner's daughter was super kind to us and went the extra mile to help get us sorted in Sapa re activities. They even let us have a warm shower after checking out. Would definitely recommend to stay here!

There was some confusion with the room we booked because we wanted a mountain view and the room was described as having one. The staff was helpful and kind an gave us a discount for the confusion. The beds are super comfy and the blankets are really nice and warm. The bathroom/shower is really clean and the water pressure is great. You can walk everywhere you need to from the hotel, but it is not in the center. The staff is very helpful and did our laundry. We were also able to rent motorbikes and buy our bus tickets through them. The staff is a family and not all of them speak English, but it wasn't a problem for us. I'd stay here again.

Family Owned And very welcoming ”
We stayed here for 2 nights between trecking in sapa. The family was very nice and held our bags while we did a homestay overnight. Always offering us food and hot tea, the youngest daughter spoke the best english but the father always wanted to talk. Very fun and friendly. Its gets cold but they have rhe softest heated beds and they give you plenty of blankets. I will stay there again on my next visit
