this hotel is ideally located on the corniche bay in Doha , it’s well worth upgrading for £10 per day to a magnificent view of the bay and city, the bars and coffee shops in the hotel were a great place to hangout and a special mention about the swimming pool in the hotel it was the hottest pool i had ever swam in and so nice

Wonderful stay”
What a wonderful experience we had staying at Saraya Corniche Hotel. The staff were amazing- very kind and went out of their way to assist us. The hotel is conveniently located to many of the local attractions such as Souq Waqif market and the Museum of Islamic Art. We used the private cars associated with the hotel to get about town at a reduced cost, instead of taxis. They even came and picked us up, after our sightseeing ventures to take us back to the hotel. We definitely recommend this hotel - and its unique decor also made this a truly wonderful stay. We definitely recommend this hotel to all visitors to Qatar.

For the past one year I’ve been a loyal client to this hotel, but the last 2 bookings have been a total disappointment. Second last booking I’ve encountered 2 issues. First one was the Check-in at the property, system was down and there was no other way of checking in than waiting for the computers to restart the system. Second issue, and quite serious, the maintenance person was trying to fix the landline from the room next to mine and he wanted to check an error that was related to that. He rang the doorbell but I delayed in answering cause I was sleeping at that time, after a busy day at work. By the time I woke up I heard the door unlocking, so basically the gentleman was using the master key to access my room. This is unacceptable. Being the first mistake, I decided to move forward and continue booking my room here cause I was very comfortable with the place. This last booking, things changed even more. They added something like a deposit (of 500 qr)which is not mentioned when you make the booking. The receptionist called in the room but I didn’t answer cause, again, I was sleeping, so she decided to call me on my mobile phone to inform me that I have forgotten my id at the reception and also about the deposit that I must pay it ASAP. I mentioned I don’t have cash but I’ll pay by card , so she sent someone with a POS, without specifying that there’s a charge of 25% if you pay by card, for which reason, I don’t know. No one explained to me. On top of all that, my room was 2 rooms away from a room where they were doing some maintenance so there was a lot of drilling and knocking with hammer. I called reception to ask how long this drilling and noise will last, she said she will check but never called back. Customer service needs major improvements. For a 5* hotel, this is unacceptable.

Great value for money, and good location for short stay, close to airport and walkable to some of the sights of Doha (Souq Waqif, Corniche, Museum of Islamic Art). Small issue we had was handled quickly by efficient staff. Would stay again.
