Seaview is unique on Norfolk Island. Not only does it have the best view, but location is walking distance to Burnt Pine, the shopping and eating area. The cows and chooks still roam freely around the green hills and at the entrance to the hotel gate. If you want to feel something special, stay at this renovated hotel or stay in their gorgeous cottages. Greg can't do enough for you and will arrange a hire car. The pool and tropical gardens look over the sea. There is space to move around the large acreage without bumping into other guests too! Great wine shop on the premises which sells other treats too, all at the best prices on Norfolk. Don't miss this memorable stay so close to Kingston the capital and Burnt Pine the shopping area. The beds are king and super comfortable.

You would be silly not to use Seaview”
Seaview has it all : friendly, helpful staff, quiet rooms, comfy bed, good wifi, central location on island if you want to walk around the island (like me; car is easier for most travellers), 10 min walk to Burnt Pine shops, complimentary morning tour day after arrival across island to orientate visitors (we had Max; a real celebrity with massive island knowledge), pickup & return to airport included (& Continental breakfast). I had a great time; with my country background, it felt like I was back home when I got off the plane. EVERYONE waves to you & is incredibly friendly. Probably will return at some time & definitely to Seaview

Beautiful views from Seaview”
We enjoyed our week long stay at Seaview and were grateful we had a seaview from our room with its lovely sea breezes. Location very close to town and Emily Bay/Kingston area. Comfortable bed, relaxing room with balcony, good shower and ample cupboard space. You have to be prepared for island style internet coverage and cover style basic breakfast. Staff helpful and very friendly with good local knowledge.

Spectacular view!”
I very much enjoyed my stay at Seaview. My ocean-view room had a spectacular view of Phillip Island, as well as the necessary amenities. While some things weren't in the room like a microwave, larger mugs or cutlery, the staff were more than happy to provide these for us from their restaurant. The free included breakfast was also enjoyable :)

An honest room, a dated accommodation, the best part I would say about the experience would be it is the comfiest bed I have slept in and rooms where clean and tidy, the establishment is dated and could do with a major revamp, but for an honest stay and a place to put your head at night it will for fill your needs. The location right in town is ideal for a quick morning walk to the cafes, and the view is to die for over looking the ocean and outer islands

Stunning views await you”
I initially booked a room and was upgraded into a cabin by the manager Glen, who goes out of his way to assist you. Seaview is well situated just passed the intersection of Taylor rd and Queen Elizabeth Dr, a 15min walk into the top part of town Burnt Pine. There is a very good Asian restaurant on site for evening meals if you don't want to cook, but there are also many more in town and a couple of very good vegetarian restaurants also. Seaview give all their visitors a charged mobile phone which I found most usual. Included also was airport pick up and drop off and a half day orientation trip of the island which I found very informative and interesting. For good walkers one could cover the entire island by foot, but maybe over a few days, as it is just 3 by 5 miles or 5 by 8kms. The island has much history on offer being an early Australian penal colony.

Exceptional”
We had a wonderful week at Seaview On Norfolk Island. The cabins we were in looked out over the water and island. It was close to everything and an easy walk to town and cafes and restaurants. Free roaming cows, chickens and other animals all very close made this a holiday with both beach and country combined.

Really good value for money. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff - nothing was a problem. A couple of small issues with housekeeping, but feedback given directly and well received. I will definitely stay there again for my next trip to Norfolk Island.

Loved the welcome and the views. While the outside may suffer from the harsh weather the room was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. (It even included a torch, so handy for night walks). The location is an easy walk into town but close to the historic Kingston area. The pool was small but clean and the guest laundry for free use was very handy. I couldn't fault the kitchen facilities and the breakfasts provided were excellent. All in all a big thank you to Glen as nothing was too much trouble and he was a delight to talk to. He even took us to the airport and helped check us in when the airport bus forgot to pick us up! Absolutely first class and i totally recommend staying there.

The cottages are very quaint and have everything you need. They even had a hair dryer, clothes washing powder, salt and pepper and hotel style shampoo etc -which was a pleasant surprise. They really think about guests arriving before they can get to the shops. Free half day tour is a must as well as a car. Nice and private with the most spectacular views. The manager is extremely helpful and friendly and goes beyond what I would expect. Would definitely stay there again and the Singapore restaurant on site is amazing to.

Almost perfect as a budget place ”
Everything great. Just small issue with complimentary breakfast which is served only till 9 a.m. I was not informed about this and what's more when I went for breakfast at 8:50 a.m. I headed it's over as it is served till 9.... finally I had it so this was just not kind and warm morning well one from staff. Except this small incident I am very satisfied with my stay and recommend this place if you just need a good place for sleep

Nice view on Norfolk”
Our stay at this hotel was disappointing, the location was great and so was the view but there were hardly any staff to attend to your needs and if we had wanted a self contained accommodation where we looked after ourselves, we would have chosen differently. The restaurant and bar were closed for 5 out of our 7 day stay, so we were given provisions to have some breakfast and had to go elsewhere for evening meals although advertised as a hotel with amenities for dining. Upon check out morning nobody even bothered to come in to take our outstanding bill. Very disappointed with the place and would not recommend it.

A wonderful holiday”
We had a great stay at the hotel, in a separate cottage. The views are amazing of the sea, gardens, sunset and the cottage had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is super convenient in walking distance to the town centre, Kingston and many other attractions. The staff are very nice and would help in best possible way. We would definitely stay here again.

We elected to book a cottage at Seaview as they are self-contained, so have the option of cooking if desired. The cottages are dated but functional and clean, with good amenities. Breakfast and other meals available, with lovely views from the deck. A bottle shop on site was helpful too, and just around the corner from some excellent restaurants to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Walking distance to the local shops and car hire can be arranged through the hotel - great value, especially when most on-line booking sites said no availability. The wi-fi didn’t connect so we checked our messages in the dining room through the general system. However, internet connection is slow across the island, so be prepared to relax, go off-line and enjoy the views. Staff were very helpful, pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Good value and a pleasant, relaxing stay as we researched our convict heritage.
