Hotel is a few min distant to railway station on right- handed street. Bath and room amenity meet a standard of selected inn chain. Best part I love for this branch is superview of fujisan mountain from room window. Enjoy my photo shot snap over here.

Comfortable for family with young kids”
A happy surprised that the hotel have connecting room (separate room) with door in between for family with children and it was quite spacious too. One room with queen bed and toilet, while there were twin bed on the adjoining room. Value for money.

Good place to stay if planning to hike in the area”
It is a very cheap yet close to the station hotel. No frills, but a clean warm bed, walking distance from a convenience store. If you have some reason to stay in Gotenba, it is cheap. The outside looks old, but the inside is the same as any other business hotel.

Location is good and staffs are helpful & friendly too. And nice view too! Only disappointed with the breakfast on day 2. Went for breakfast about 8:05am, most dishes was empty. Waited for 20mins and I left. Only had a small cup of apple juice, small bowl of salad and a small cup of corn soup that’s all.

The room was dirty and table and shower is broken ”
We choose this room because it is cheap. But the room was so dirty, we saw some chips wrappers that was hidden on the broken table. The floor was unclean. The shower of hot water was too hot, it is difficult to control. The shower is broken too… housekeeping should be serious this time. Especially we are staying during the pandemic. It seems like no one is cleaning the room. It was my first time staying in the hotel with empty chips wrappers and broken table and shower. It was disgusting... We wanted to call the front office but no telephone phone inside the hotel.

No consideration, we requested to extend our check out few minutes they charging us 2,900 yen. ”
Need to extend breakfast atleast 10am, and hire approachable one in the breakfast area. We arrived 8:40am almost no food left and a group of a family came as well they dont mind to refill the food. This is really bad hotel old and not well maintain and not value for money.

Great stay at Fuji area”
The hotel is located near to Gotemba station, approximately around 10 minutes walk. It is very convenient to reach the hotel. The room is well equipped with essentials. Toilet and bathroom, with bathtub, bathtub with warm water is all we need after a long walk and exhausted feet. My room is a twin bed room, but in my opinion, one bed is a slight wider than the another bed and maybe it can be for three middle sized adults. Morning breakfast is quite good. As far as I can remember, they provide rice, curry sauce, potato salad (I like it), some Japanese style vegetables that is served cold, vegetables salad with various sauce like mayonaise and sesame sauce, pork sausage, omelette, natto (fermented soybean), salmon or mackerel in several sauce, apple and orange juice, coffee and others I cannot remember. With this price, breakfast is a great addition to such a hotel so we can full our stomach with foods before our adventures of the day begin. Around the hotel, there were many small restaurants and convenience shop so it is very helpful to us. The weather during our stay which is in late September 2017 were really nice, a bit windy at days, and quite cold at night. The view from our room is beautiful, mountain view. If you are lucky, you can have a clear sky and full of mountain view, but I was not quite sure that it is Fujisan or another mountain around the area, but however, it is really still beautiful. From this hotel, we walk to Gotemba station and wait in bus stop for Kawaguchiko area. It took 1.5 hour to reach Kawaguchiko station to further ride several sightseeing bus from Kawaguchiko station to travel around mt.Fuji. The best Fujisan spot is from Kachi-kachi ropeway in Kawaguchiko lake, in Red line bus. At least that was my experience since I have limited time to go around Fuji. To sum up, this hotel is really nice and good. It location is in the middle between Hakone and Fuji. The best offer is you order Fuji-Hakone pass before your visit day to these

For the budget traveller”
The staff are friendly & helpful. Special commendation to the lady staff who helped us check in on 18 Jun at about noontime. As for the room, we chose futons. Though we request for cleaning service everyday, please be mentally prepared that the bottom of the futons are stained. Pillows are too soft for my personal comfort but that’s an individual preference. Otherwise, it’s pretty comfy to sleep at night. The breakfast was an alternate fanfare but was interesting & tasty. We made sure that we had a heavy one so that lunch could be light. The hotel is a 5-7 min walk to the Gotemba station so we found it rather convenient for our trips to Mt Fuji area & Hakone. This hotel will be ideal for those who want to travel to both destinations. There are many eateries around Gotemba station so you can have your melas there but don’t visit the one beside the hotel as they don’t have English or Chinese menus. Note that the hotel’s public bath is for MEN only. It is clean & nice.

Good Stay”
Select Inn Fujisan is ok for an overnight stay. I like the Japanese style futon beds. The breakfast was just ok not really that delicious as per review from other guest but breakfast was worth the price. It's near the train station about 6mins fast walking and with luggage about 10mins. Hotel staff doesn't know how to speak English but they can understand. Overall it's worth it for the price I paid.
