"We stayed for the bank holiday weekend. The apartment was very clean, they allowed us to have a late check out and we checked in early as well. It is in an excellent location right next door to the Mail Box. Next time we are in Brum we will defiantly be cooking again!"

"Very comfortable bed, good shower with plenty of hot water. Kitchen facilities had everything you need, including dishwasher. Parking can be a slight issue as there are limited street parking spaces. Although there is the opportunity to purchase a space at a cost of £10 pn All in all I thought the apartment was excellent value for money and I would definitely stay there again when working in Birmingham or surrounding areas. The staff were very helpful and polite."

"I booked an apartment style room at Bloc hotel for a discounted price on Agoda and what can I say, I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest way.. the room had everything that I needed, one too many televisions I might add 😅 the bed was super comfortable, bathroom was spacious, cleanliness was on point and the staff were friendly and helpful 😊 I can’t think of any faults with my stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends! "Located completely centrally, a short walking distance from buses, trains, shops and restaurants, Burne Jones House is hugely convenient to anyone who wishes to stay in Birmingham without the hassle of bringing or renting a car. Due to the proximity of bars and pubs, expect some outside noise at night, especially at weekends. However, despite this, I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of traffic noise (the apartments are surrounded by pedestrianised city centre walkways) and the effectiveness of the double glazing which had been added to the original window frames. The facilities are excellent. The apartment contains all the modern conveniences you would expect to be available if you were staying in someone's home. Each appliance has instructions readily available, and all were in good working order. There were nice touches such as toiletries/tea and coffee for the weary traveller or out-of-hours arrival. Of course, the charming original art deco surroundings cannot go without mentioning. The original features of this 1920s city building have been keep in tact but updated or maintained to fit in with modern standards. Street views offer a pleasant background of other traditional city architecture, and an insight into the Victorian industrial and aesthetic pride on which the city was built. Great for the historical enthusiast, or a snapshot for the passing tourist. Had I been a tourist, and not a local, I might have found the lack of staff on the premises and the esoteric key retrieval system a little off-hand. On arrival, the entrance lobby was surrounded by dust from ongoing building maintenance work. Shabby Christmas decorations also added to the impression that 'luxury apartments' might be ill-fitting. Yet, all in all, throughout my stay I was completely satisfied with the standard of the apartments. Burne Jones Apartments earned my approval, and I would highly recommend the accommodation to others."
