Everything at superlative”
The hotel is located in a superb area next to Paddington Station. In front of the hotel there is a wonderful park where you can see numerous pigeons and squirrels. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is varied. It deserves a try.

If you want to get real scottish experience, stay here! Scottish music night with Mr. Alan Cran playing his guitar really makes this guest house different with others. It's so wonderful experience staying here. And its location near from center, comfortable room, really want to back when I go to scotland again :)

stayed there one night on good friday. room was decently sized, clean, bathroom was large as well. there was a mini fridge. wifi worked fine as well. really comfy and staff were top notch and very helpful! only thing is that there were no lifts and i was on the 4th floor with a very heavy luggage- so the staff offered me the option of grabbing my essentials and leaving my main luggage in the concierge since i was only staying a night. might prove challenging with heavy luggage if staying on a higher floor! otherwise had a really lovely stay.

everything spot on and excellent in every way, the only thing that let it down was the shower, the water pressure very poor and the water was very slow, apart from that! everything was fine!

Value for money ”
We spend 3 nights n this hotel. The location is very good. Near to Paddington station . Near to bus station . And near to Hyde park by foot. The staff is kind and very helpful . The room was clear and comfy. Warm enough. 24h open desk . The breakfast wasn't so good . And our room was in 4th floor without lift. But that's ok because let be honest . In London you will not find lift . Only if it's a new building . Next time for sure I will book this hotel . Try it . Thanks for everything.

Friendly, clean and comfortable ”
Myself and my 8 yr old son stayed at The Shakespeare Hotel for two nights over the New Year period. The location for a visit to London is perfect, a short walk from Paddington underground station and easily located. Upon arrival and throughout our short stay we found staff helpful and polite and the hotel to be clean and well presented. I had booked a double room which was small but clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. Bathroom and shower all in working order and enough storage space for our belongings. A bonus was the balcony overlooking the gardens which made for perfect photo opportunities! The television in our room lost signal occasionally but this wasn’t really an issue as we spent very little time at the hotel but would imagine,for those who wanted to view, that this could be a little frustrating. The breakfast available was satisfactory and I am already planning a return visit for this year with friends and family!

Perfect location, you're right near the tube (which is the most important thing to me) There are plenty of resturants nearby incase you're hungry. The area is very pretty. The only problem is that because it's so close to the train, you do end up hearing it sometimes. Not an issue for me, but could be for some. Otherwise great value for your money. Great place for a solo traveler..

Great value in Paddington”
A 2 minute walk from Paddington station, we stayed here for 2 nights on our way through London. We walked to Hyde Park and central London. Good breakfast provided. For the price, it was great value and exactly what we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Was a solo traveler and a bit apprehensive about my stay but the staff and the overall stay was amazing! it is a bit aged but since i did not stay most of the time in the hotel so it was okay. the breakfast was great and you also have an option of a "proper" english breakfast with extra payment but the overall set-up was satisfying already. my only problem was the heater since i visited during winter season. it was not functioning well but upon consultation with the reception it was fixed. also, i booked a single economy room but was placed in a room with double bed so i was very happy about it as i did not feel cramped at all. and lastly, yes you can gear the trains from the paddington station, i was placed in the ground floor but it did not really bother me. so thanks for the good experience!

Good hotel in Paddington Area and close to Hyde Park, buses at every corner, easy to reach central London. We had a triple room, spacious with a garden view and a small balcony. The room was cleaned daily also clean towels were replaced daily. Breakfast was basic, loved the waffles, coffee not the best but ok for some days. Great place if you want to visit London. I would definitely return.

The room was much bigger than I expected. Great check out time of 11am. Front desk was helpful. Didn't go to breakfast but the vending machine came in handy! Comfy bed, decent shower. No issues.
