Amazing experience ”
We visited the Shard , Shangri La Hotel for a 2 night break to watch the trooping the colour to celebrate our 50th ! All I can say from the moment we arrived to when we left it was an amazing experience, we stayed in a deluxe city view room overlooking London Bridge you could see St Paul, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London and wonderful views of the city and Thames and a short stroll to the famous Borough Market for a spot of street food lunch ! Staff were excellent and very attentive, food in the TING restaurant was absolutely delicious, a dip in the skypool is a must ... I can’t fault the stay apart from not long enough 😀! Thanks to Shangari La for your excellent facilities and service , we will return one day for sure Mark and Julie from Nottingham

A must stay”
From the moment you arrive at the Shangri-La Hotel you are treated like royalty, while you check in you are given a glass of champagne. The reception staff are very friendly and professional. Check in time is 3 o'clock but we arrived at 11.30 am and our room was ready for us so we didn't have to wait around, which was fantastic! The room you can not fault at all it is perfect, big comfortable bed big tv, coffee machine, it has everything you would need for a nice stay. The bathroom was massive with a big double shower and a bath tub in the middle of the room facing the amazing view over London. We didn't eat at either restaurant as we had other plans but the menu looked amazing, we did go up to the 54th floor where there is a bar again with amazing views over the city. The bar has an extensive drinks and cocktail menu, the only slightly negative think i would say is that some of the cocktails are quite expensive. I personally didn't mind paying the prices as it was a special occasion.

Best Birthday stay ever”
We only stayed at The Shard for one night as part of my 65th birthday and retirement celebration. From the moment we entered the room it was breath-taking. The view (41st floor) was truly amazing, even when it was raining in the morning. Dinner in the restaurant was of Masterchef standard i.e. exquisite. The staff made us feel like royalty. They were courteous respectful and cheerful from front of house staff through to housekeepers and waiters. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room itself was wonderful with every conceivable modern convenience and service. There was even cable internet for those without Wi Fi. We would surely recommend the Shard to anyone thinking of staying at a truly five star hotel in London.

Fantastic views and great bar staff.”
Our stay was at first what I would consider average for such a high class hotel of this standard due to a couple of issues encountered, however the staff were amazing at dealing with our complaints and they were quickly remedied making our stay what you would expect. The staff in the gong bar (sky bar) on the 52nd floor were truly amazing and made our nights in their amazing. Great views, lovely cocktails, lovely welcoming atmosphere and staff. Definitely would recommend a stay, only if you're going to use the facilities and experience the "shard" if you just want a room with a view I suggest visiting the bar one evening (as its open to the public), experience the views and stay else where because you are most definitely paying a huge premium for the "shard" experience and you can get the same room standards elsewhere in the city for less cost.

I'll definitely come back with staying here! They got the best view and concierge service in London.”
I've staying here for two nights, everything was perfect. The concierge is very kind and professional. They help me on suggesting the best restaurants not only dinner and lunch but also afternoon tea and even if you are looking for fish and chips. They also book the tickets of the London eye and Westminster Abbey for me , that make my trip efficiently accomplished. The hotel from level 34 to 52 of course you'll got the best view of city. The view of my room was perfect. I can see London eye and Big Ben even from my bathtub. I really recommend to stay at Shangrila at the shard.

Very nice hotel but location could have better”
Shangri la's flagship hotel in Europe , together the one in Paris , distinguish itself from other shangri la's business Hotel image . Very spacious room and bathroom with top facilities , great view from the shard, nice staff, offer some Asian food options but overall food quality needs to be improved . Busy breakfast and sometimes small Mistakes occurs. Location is on south wharf and need to travel to the other side of the river for tourist spot . If for tourists , maybe not a perfect location . But overall very nice stay

Birthday Weekend”
I enjoyed my stay at the Shangri-La Hotel very much. It did take sometime when we checked im as we were told the hotel was busy but we were upgraded to a better room. It was mine and my boyfriends birthday weekend and the stay at the hotel was a surprise for him. I did explain this prior to arriving at the hotel and they said they would have some cake in the room complimentary. Unfortunately this didnt happen.. and this was the only negative point of my stay at the hotel.

Same view, same experience”
Beautiful views, second to none in London. Very pricey but totally worth it for a one-time experience. Not a good second visit for me, considering that I already had a bad first experience. Was invited to stay again with a free upgrade but my check-in was delayed for 2.5 hours until the winter daylight is over. Not too happy with how they communicate within the establishment. Same experience with the first visit, lack of communication between the departments within the hotel. Service level not comparable to other Shangri-La properties. At breakfast, staff we're not attentive. Most walk past avoiding eye-contact, despite you trying to get their attention. Tried getting the attention of the captain, same outcome. Only one staff, a young man from Australia, was helpful and he made my day. My bad experiences aside, this hotel has a very good and convenient location, excellent facilities, both in the room and in common areas. As mentioned earlier, it is worth the experience.

Excellent stay”
First time used the Shangri La and I have to say will definitely be coming back. The whole environment, staff and facilities are nothing short of excellent. I've stayed in a few so-called 5* hotels before, but the Shangri la lived up to that status. Well done

Incredible hotel - Definitely worth staying here”
My partner and I went there for our anniversary. The service was outstanding from start to finish. They even provided a small cake the size of a post-it note with the words "Happy Anniversary". It was an unexpected finishing touch. When you enter the room you are engulfed by luxury. The bathroom floor was heated, as was the toilet seat. Electric blinds gave you privacy at a tap of a button. The bathroom mirror has its own in-built TV, so you can watch it whilst going about your business. The gym is average, although the infinity pool is relaxing with a view of London. Room service is great but you can expect quite a mark up on food & drink. To sum it up in a few words - Visit this hotel at least once in your life.

Amazing but slight lack in customer service”
We loved the hotel, the location couldn't have been better (just outside tube station as well), the view amazing and the attention to detail in terms of decorative finish is outstanding. When it comes to good old fashioned customer service however, I felt it failed on a 5 star rating. Having had extensive conversations & confirmations prior to visit with the hotel, in particular with regards to children and if there were specific hours they were allowed to use the pool we were told they were welcome to use it and that the pool was open between 6 am and 8 pm. Upon arrival, however, they were only allowed to use this between restricted family hours. Not a problem, just don't like being told one thing and then something else upon arrival. In particular since my husband is unwell and we knew we would be spending more time than normal in the hotel. We stayed two nights and after the first night, they forgot to clean our room which was annoying, although this would usually not be a problem, but my husband had overdone it in the day and desperately needed a rest (again, importance of everything being as smooth as possible was clearly outlined in earlier conversation with hotel) and the added stress to him and myself was unnecessary in terms of getting the room done. In particular since I couldn't get hold of anyone over the phone, but had to take the lift down to the reception to query in person. Other minor details include things like no turn down service in the evening which I would have expected and upon checking out, we weren't even asked how our stay was which again, with such a lovely hotel, little things makes a difference and paying premium prices to me should give you an overall premium experience which I felt we didn't have. Shame, but that said, the hotel itself was so lovely and I would probably go back.

Excellent”
We booked this for our Son and his girlfriend - he proposed to her whilst they were staying with you, she said yes which is super - we normally stay in one of the older hotels in London but may well try our the Shard next time we are down in London

Just Fantastic”
Stayed 4D 3N, in the premier room... the view from my room is just incredible, facing Tower Bridge and River Thames. This is probably the best view from a hotel room that I ever stayed in London. Apart from that, the check in was quick and friendly, just what I needed after an 11 hr flight. I didn't manage to book at Ting as it was fully booked, but ordering in the room is very good. The sky pool on 52nd floor is a must place to experience in the hotel. The gym, located on the same floor, while small is just great due to the fantastic view. Will definitely come again to stay.

Fabulous!”
My family and I stayed at the Shangri-La for one night to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. It is a lovely hotel but expensive! We had breakfast in the Ting Restaurant which was nice, nothing special. What we paid for was the 'view'. The hotel room was a superior standard room, was very comfortable. Bathroom very nice, heated floor and heated toilet seat - bliss! On the day we were there, it was a very warm day and we could not get the temperature right. It was very warm in the room, even with the fan on and the temperature at the lowest it would go. The bed was very comfortable. I paid for an extra bed for my daughter to sleep in which she said was so comfortable. We used the swimming pool which was nice, great view from the 52nd floor. We enjoyed our stay and if we could afford it, would stay here again, but it's very pricey so cannot justify spending that kind of money again. It was a memorable stay and my husband enjoyed spending his 50th birthday at the Shangri-La.

Wonderful stay”
We had a great stay at ShangriLa. The hotel stuff is so so friendly. We had an Ionic room with an amazing view. The room was really big, comfortable and very clean. However when you book the afternoon tea 6 months in advance and when you have one of the most expensive hotel rooms, I expect to have a window seat during afternoon tea. We were seated in the back and only after some checking, we could take a table at the window. Also we had to wait 15 minutes in the morning for a table for breakfast. We asked for water until we were seated, this seemed to be a problem at first. Breakfast was not included in the £640 room/night and was very expensive. I had much better breakfasts in other hotels. Also our ordered newspaper wasn't there. Great hitel with an amazing view, but for such a price, I expect perfect service.

the best and coolest hotel in europe”
they upgraded us when they found out we are on our last day of honeymoon which is super sweet!!!!! of them, the view is amazing, so the London eye can go to hell, it is like so much taller than the London eye, your bathtub you can chill and turn off all the lights and enjoy the flickering lights of London, see the sunrise, and cool swimming pool.the staff are so professional and so kind and friendly . breakfast is a mix of western (75%) and oriental (25%) cool. its romantic and although pricey but really its worth every bit of it, and I thought its pricey, but when I lived there wow, its worth it, great way to end your holiday, book your last stay there. right on top of the London bridge, damn near to the borough market, great great great!

Quite Good”
There are a "huge" pillar and desk in the room (Deluxe) which are the major obstacles of the view. To be frank, the view is lower than my expected, I would like to try premier room next time just because the room service. BTW, the TING restaurant is awful and the other restaurant in SHARD need to advance booking. Thus, should better to bring homemade sandwich :)

Fantastic Hotel, but expensive”
The hotel here is fantastic, with awesome views from the rooms (and their bar on the 52nd floor). The rooms and amenities are all great too and the staff were brilliant, and looked after us throughout our stay. But it is expensive, and it's difficult to justify the extra cost for what you get compared to other London hotels. Look for good offers or splurge for a special occasion.

Impleccable service ”
The view from my room was nice. Should have opted for the St Paul Cathedral view though. Was also slightly surprised that my room was made up even on the same day I checked in. The staff were warm and helpful. The hotel is just next to London Bridge Station and 3 minutes away from Borough Market which is very convenient for brunch. Very accessible to most places. Will definitely be back.
