relaxing place in central location”
Shangri-la never fails to live up to its name. It's located at tokyo station, a central location, with all the main metro lines and airport express within reach. The service is fantastic, they were happy to make restaurant reservations for us before our arrival, and they even offered to keep our extra baggage in the hotel for 9 days after we checked out, when all we did was enquire with them about long term storage at tokyo station! This is a huge help for us as we didn't want to lug around multiple luggages while traveling to Kyoto and Osaka, before coming back to Tokyo again. The room itself: fabulous. Huge for tokyo standards. We got a deluxe room, and somehow ended up in the corner room, with a huge shower/ bathroom that had a window looking towards the city. The room had all we need, and much more. The bed promises a good night sleep, and I can barely hear any noise from the corridor. Would totally stay there again.

More than expected...”
They provide their service by heart. Everything prepared and done already before you could think of. I am a Shangri La fans, always stay with them whenver I travel abroad. 2 resorts in Kota-kinabalu and the one at Sentosa. We visited Tokyo to stay for one night before going home, though priced higher than most Tokyo hotels, its location and services will compensate it all. They even provide escort services to and from Tokyo station platform. All staff are helpful and with good English. Shangri La never disappoint me before, but this one, is over my expectation. The best one in my experience.

You get what you pay for”
Superb location. The hotel entrance is only about 25 meters from the nearest gate of the Tokyo station, with direct links to the Narita Express, the Shinkansen Network as well as the ever so popular Yamanote line, which circles the city and stops at most tourist hotspots. Rooms are exceptionally big and comfortable, with all imagineable amenities. Bathtub with a view in the premier rooms is great. Employees are „over the top“ friendly without exception. It went to the level where I found myself a little out of place with all the bowing and demonstration of respect. The pool was very relaxing and I guess it‘s hardly ever full, because the Shangri-La is not huge. It only occupies the top (roughly) ten floors of the tower. Breakfast was too expensive for what it was. All very nicely presented, and food of very good quality, and the made to order main course always fine, but 4‘400 Yen per adult is not a great value. Hope to overcome my lazyness in the future and eat elsewhere.

Adore the Shangri-La”
This hotel we will return to. Our room was lovely. The service at the hotel is second to none. Having breakfast at the hotel restaurant in the morning is dreamy. The design of the restaurant, the flower arrangements and the buffet are very special. I had a massage at the spa to help combat jet lag. It was well worth it. To help us find a restuarant outside hotel first evening in Tokyo we were walked over to the station and pointed in right direction! the Attention to small detail is the by line at the Shangri-La. Make sure you find time to sit in bar in the evening or late afternoon and soak up the fabulous view of Tokyo!

wow wow wow! ”
we stayed here for the last 4 nights of our honeymoon in japan and we definitely ended in style! from the moment we arrived the staff knew our names (without us telling them-amazing!) and treated us so well. when we checked it (smoothly of course) we were informed that as it was our honeymoon we had a complimentary bottle of bubbles which was the perfect way to enjoy settling into our room and enjoying the tokyo skyline from the 35 floor! we were in room (corner room) and it was perfect from the bed to the bathroom! plenty of space and everything was spotless and clean! front desk were a great help booking us tickets for kabuki and sumo and also making a dinner reservation for us as well. i nearly cried when we left and it was very nice and helpful to have an escort to the nex platform (our bags weighed a ton!) and a great but simple touch. would i go back, within a heartbeat. thank you everyone at shangri-la tokyo!

Excellent location, service and luxury room ”
We loved it at the Shangri-La in Tokyo. It was our first hotel on our trip and the staff made us feel very welcome and were very helpful. We had a beautiful room with excellent views over the city skyline and luxury surrounds in our room. The location is the best as we were traveling on a Japan Rail Pass and subway so used the station everyday to get around. We would highly recommend this hotel as a terrific place to stay in Tokyo.

Lovely - really couldn't fault our stay!!!”
When we arrived at Shangri-La, we were offered an 'upsell' to a corner room and Horizon Club / Lounge access for AUD $130 (approx). We were already paying around $600 for the room, but we thought 'what the heck' as we were only there for one night. I must say though - it was definitely worth the extra $130!!! The room was quite large - especially for Japanese standards, with a HUGE bathroom including a lovely bath with a glass wall that provided a view of Tokyo. The staff were incredible, and the drinks and nibbles we had at the Horizon club were really good - as was the breakfast the next morning - probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. I wish we had been able to stay longer! A brilliant way to finish our holiday in Japan...

great stay”
We were at the Shangri La Tokyo for less than 24 hours but while we were there we definitely used the services of the hotel! Yes- you pay top dollar but it was worth every dime. The check in service on the club level was amazing and accommodating a group of tired American travelers. They helped us arrange a bike tour and navigate the subways. All with patience and smiles. Breakfast in the morning is included-- beyond the amazing buffet set up you could order anything off the menu- all included. Quite impressive. The appointments in the room were excellent too (stockings for the ladies were just part of the amenity kits!) Our stay was short but we will always remember and recommend this property.

An oppulent reward on our last night in Japan”
Our stay at Shangri-La Tokyo was an indulgence for our last night in Japan having been there for three (3) weeks. Perfect location, room and staff with excellent Wi-Fi and English newspaper delivered in the morning. Being a luxury hotel they do gouge you in the dining room and bar but as said this was our chosen indulgence so you had to expect that the wallet was going to take a thrashing.

Unforgettable!”
Staff in the gym was absolutely prompt to sanitize the gym equipment and restock water and towels almost immediately. Hotel provided complimentary assistance of booking bullet train tickets, making restaurant reservations, and changing of large Yen notes to smaller notes. Would recommend anyone going to Tokyo to stay at Shangri-La!

Good location, good facilities”
Shangri-la Tokyo has the best room facilities in terms of connectivity for your electronic gadgets. The room provides all kinds of wires to hook up your ipod, laptop, or other gadgets to the audio and video system in the room. Very thoughtful. Also, the location is great for shopping and dinning.

Shangri La Tokyo”
My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Shangri-La! When we checked into our room we could barely see Mt Fuji. We requested a room with a better view. They just walked us down the hall and we were perfectly in line for a fabulous view of Mt. Fuji. We were centrally located to business meetings, restaurants, shopping, sight seeing and were totally entertained. Breakfast was very expensive and my eggs were served cold and overcooked with no hot toast. Coffee was too strong. I would say there are nicer places nearby to enjoy for half the price. The bed was very soft and supportive with 3 pillow choices. Lots of amenities. Great shower and bath area. Wireless internet service that was VERY fast. Their business center was also very efficient and helpful. I do not speak Japanese but the staff there was able to help me. They organized a free shopping trip for me with an English guide inside the store which included tea. We will stay there again soon.

Beautiful hotel, amazing views”
the hotel was in the perfect location, right by tokyo main station, making it very easy and convenient to reach from the airport. it is located high up in a skyscraper and has amazing views from the lobby bar and its restaurants. our room had incredible views over tokyo with peak views of mt. fuji. our room was large which was beautiful for a city like tokyo with a walk in shower that had views over the city! the service was very friendly, although not very helpful with tips of bars and restaurants in the area (we were looking for some help for new year's eve ideas). one bar they sent us to was even closed. not the five star service one would expect. otherwise, the hotel was fantastic. the pool was a little disappointing. sauna/whirlpools are separated into the male and female changing rooms. pool had nice views but not that special to lounge around. great location to go shopping from, close to ginza and tokyo station mall area, as well as imperial palace gardens.

Shangri-La Hotel”
Overall this hotel meet my expectation, great location just next to the Tokyo station. However, for the price charged a night, there are many other choices I will consider for my next visit to Tokyo. In order to be competitive with the similiar class of hotels, some insentives to customer is very much needed.

Great option for a nice stay at the city... Localization is great, in the central area of Tokyo, just by the train station and underground with restaurants, bars and shopping at walking distance. The room and staff was very welcoming and comfortable. All our needs were anticipated without exception. The hotel was very well located for our needs.

The beautiful room would be enough to bring us back here, but the staff was so accommodating and gracious that we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when we return to Tokyo. We hope to try many other Sangri-La Hotels throughout the world!
