Stayed here for 6 nights in February 2013 with a 15 month old baby. We were upgraded from a Queen room to a corner King, which was a fantastic surprise. We requested a baby crib - they provided a sturdy wooden cot with bedding and extra blankets and towels. The crib had wheels, so we could move it around as needed. The room was large & comfortable & the view of the city was really nice. It was carpeted, which was helpful bc our baby had just started walking but spends a lot of time on the ground! Very little child-proofing by us required bc the tables were round or many of the edges of furniture were high enough off the ground that our little one wouldn't bang into it. The adjustable lighting was nice so we could leave the bathroom light on softly an& the hotel room was equipped with a hot water boiler, complimentary coffee & a small fridge. Bathroom had both a shower & tub, automatic bidet toilet, toiletries, robes & hairdryer. The rooms were quiet & well-insulated with adjustable a thermostat. Tried to book the kid's club one afternoon for our baby but they were full so the hotel contacted a babysitter for us. The babysitter was a sweet older Japanese woman who spoke no English and seemed experienced with young children. Hotel staff was helpful in translating for us & the babysitter actually accompanied us out with our baby and entertained him nearby while we went to eat at Sushi Mizutani (hotel booked for us). The hotel location is fantastic. The airport limousine (bus) stops & picks up directly at this hotel and it was a short walk to the Shibuya stop. You can easily catch the JR or subway at Shibuya. It's a slight hill to Shibuya station but fine with stroller and walking. There is a 7-11 located within the hotel complex and we were able to find groceries & stores nearby for diapers. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurants so rated it average (3). Will definitely stay again. Cons: $$ internet charge (up to 2 devices), extra fee for pool & gym use.

If you like staying in Shibuya (like I do), this is the place to stay! 4-5 star accommodations right in the heart of Shibuya. Pros: 1. Location- the Hotel sits right on top of the Shibuya Station, talk about on/off train from your hotel room door within minutes! And the view overlooking the Shibuya crossing aint too shabby either! 2. Rooms- size is perfect, amenities are perfect, clean, modern. 3. Concierge- In-Room Massages, Luggage Transfer Service, Michelin Star Reservations, everything on point and seamless! 4. TRANSPORTATION- Tokyu Shibuya Excel is 1 of 2 hotels, the Limousine Bus will directly drop-off/pick-up to and from both the Haneda and Narita International Airports!!! For like $10-$15 USD, score! Big time! Cons: 1. PRICE- can be slightly steep amongst surrounding hotels, but such hotels probably don't have the same amenities and is definitely a walk aways.... 2. Visited in January (30-40 degrees F), and the water condensation on the windows were a problem.

Centrally located, very easy to find, best of the best shopping areas within crawling distance (Shibuya 109, Tokyu Hands, Don Quijite), restaurants and foods everywhere (some opens 24hrs a day), a few steps to Shibuya station, bus station right in front of you, extremely friendly and helpful staffs (I asked for a place for dinner buffet in Shibuya and he cracked his head trying to find one for me, the only one i found in google is Shakey's Pizza buffet), room is Japan's standard hotel room size (which is small, but ok. If u wan the largest room go for twin bed), room is very clean and tidy (fully equipped with amenities, hair dryer is a bit weak, TV channels are all Japanese, but u can buy a VOD card for Y1000, not the latest movies but maybe 1-2 months old, large selections, valid for 1 day per card), superb breakfast buffet (if u choose to have ur room with breakfast). Cons? Slightly expensive but so is all other hotels in Shibuya (unless u settle for bed & breakfast inns). Late check-in time at 3pm but so is other hotels in Japan. Room is small but so is all other hotels in Japan.

if someone was to tell you that a hotel that looks out either onto a rail line or a cemetry was a great hotel you might think twice. but dormy inn takes that all in its stride and offers great hotel experience right in the best part of northern shibuya. located in a quiet area off meiji dori it is close to so much that is best about modern tokyo. the olympic stadiums are nearby and its only a short walk to shibuya commercial areas. a small tip - use meiji-jingumae metro stop north of the hotel - much less traffic than shibuya itself. learn to use pasmo travel card too. special thanks to the conceige at dormy who happily let me accompany him into shibuya on first arriving at the hotel. a great little guided tour in great company!

By train : Henada airport to Shibuya station (40 min ) Purchase ticket to Shibuya Yamanote 580 yen($5.60) Follow signs for keikyu line (platform # 2). Take train towards shinagawa Exit at shinagawa Take JR Yamanote line on platform #2 Exit at Shibuya station Exit west entrance Walk on overhead bridge and exit on the "tennis court SIGN side" (green sign on building ) . At Bottom of stairs turn left as if ur making a u-turn. Walk Pass the Family Mart to the next block The street is between Kirin city restaurant and Sukiya restaurant. Walk up the small hill(2min walk). Hotel on left side . Same building as the Italian tapas restaurant (people sitting outside at night ) . The hotel sign faces down the hill, so u won't see it looking up the hill. Enter hotel by Pushing the large Wooden doors. Fast check in . Awesome staff English speaking very well designed, but small for 6'00 person and above . Full size bed(firm). Nice linen Japanese toilet(heated seat and more). Strong water pressure Air conditioning Refrigerator, Flat screen Plenty of Toilet tres. Hair dryer No hand cream Check out 11am. You can request for late check out at 12pM. Can leave bags at hotel to explore the city Surroundings : Lots of eateries The famous Shibuya crossing (10 min walk) walking along JR Shibuya station and turn left towards the 4ever 21 neon lights . Sushi and izakayas close at 3 am . Nightlife everywhere Things to know : Hotel Breakfast is service in two restaurant . Level #1 is western style BF Level # 2 is Japanese style BF I over slept and did not partake . Money changer left side after exiting customs. Money changer near hotel. Ask staff Bags can be sent to narita airport from hotel(advance notice needed)

Pros: - very close 8-10 minute walk to shibuya crossing. - Far enough so that it’s not so noisy at night. - JR line and Shibuya Station only a 10 minute walk - lots of food places to choose from - lots of shops and drug stores available - 7/11, family mart a 1 minute walk away at your convenience - staff were super friendly and spoke excellent English - shibuya hotel EN also offered a simple pastry breakfast, enough to get your coffee and a quick bite before venturing out - staff were great to book our tickets and offered to wave a taxi for us so that we could catch the taxi to another hotel to catch airport bus instead of train Cons: -rooms are smaller than what you expect for a hotel but reasonable for Japan’s standard - didn’t have cot for infant available, ended up sharing a large double bed with my husband and my 7 month old in between It was a fantastic stay for us besides the bed situation. Would stay with them again for their fantastic staff and service.

It's located in the middle of the places we want to go to: Shinjuku, Harajuku, Shibuya, Shimokitazawa anr Koenji. It's near a train station and a bus stop which makes commuting easy. If you love to walk, you can actually walk towards Shinjuku or Shibuya areas (around 3+km). Aside from the nice facilities and very accommodating staff, the hotel provides you with a Handy phone which you can use to navigate the city, call local and international (only specified countries) numbers and use the internet. Use of this Handy phone is free of charge! Definitely going back and staying there again.

This hotel definitely has an older, “vintage” feel to it, but my travel buddy and I found it to be cozy in that sense. Be warned, if you’re walking here from Shibuya station, it requires walking a couple of blocks uphill (tricky if you have a lot of luggage with you) as well as crossing a pedestrian overpass (all the more tricky if you have a lot of luggage) which is about two flights of stairs high. Physical effort aside, this hotel is so close to Shibuya crossing and Shibuya station making a great value for the cost. Our room had a double bed, desk with chair, small flat screen TV, kettle, mini fridge and coat rack with hangers provided (no closet). There was enough room for both of us to have our suitcases open simultaneously to pack. Bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer. Slippers were also provided. The staff were very friendly and spoke English well. We were also offered complimentary bottled water daily. I highly recommend this hotel. We’d definitely stay again!

Our stay at the Shibuya Tobu Hotel was almost perfect. I will say it up front that the beds aren't too bad but the pillows are pretty poor. I can sleep in a lot of places quite easily but after 10 days my shoulders were aching. I went to the local LOFT shop and bought a pillow for £10 and was sorted after that. The hotel is dead in the middle of Shibuya, if you want to go drinking and clubbing then stay here! It is no more than 3 minutes walk to a bar, 5 minutes to a club. At the end of the night you can walk/crawl up the main road, past McDonalds and to your hotel room. Again since it's about 2 minutes to Shibuya central station, you can pretty much travel anywhere you like very easily. We took the NEX from Narita airport to Shibuya (1 hour) and also toured the city using the Metro. I visited shinjuku to compare and Shibuya is by far the best. If you don't like that touristy vibe and prefer a more japanese scene then Shibuya is the best. Shinjuku had too many people trying to get your for dodgy parlours and bars etc. in Shibuya go to 27CrazyForce - best bar there. Ask for Shoma and tell you that the Scottish Guys sent you!! You will not regret it!

The hotel is new hotel, actually very good..quite spacious for us, we did try double room and twin room, twin room have bigger bed and more spacious.. Easy to find, good value for hotel in Shibuya..near Shibuya station, in front of familymart, so easy to find food. Good location as well very close to famous food in Shibuya as well. Very recommended will definitely come back if we are staying in Shibuya.

About a 5-10 minute walk from Shibuya station. The hotel doesn’t stand out so you may walk right past it like we did the first time. A 5 min walk to great restaurants, shopping and entertainment! A 10-15 walk to Yoyogi park. Make sure to check out the FoodShow for some amazing eats in the basement of Shibuya station. Convenience store right next door which came in handy for late night snacks, drinks etc. Hotel is not modern or elaborate but has everything you would need. Toiletries, coffee/tea, water bottles, sleep shirts, slippers, hair dryer etc. and it’s very clean! American size hotel room. Full size shower/bathtub. Great restaurant in the basement! The included Breakfast in the lobby restaurant was substantial, it was a nice way to start our day. It was the same everyday but you do have the option of switching between a Japanese or Western style breakfast. Staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating! Would def recommend!

this is near the shibuya station , about 1 km . if you are arriving from tokyo and intend to stay at shibuya then best is to arrive at haneda since it is just 17km to shibuya , take the bus and get off at mark city - from there it is just 150 meters . apa is just 300 meters away from the main shibuya downtown which youngsters hand out and lots of resturants and shopping is around that zone . nice place to stay .

I wanted a hotel in shibuya and so happy I chose this one without knowing much about it or its location. It was so perfect for my needs! I had an early flight and it turned out to be 3-5 min. Walk ( depending on how heavy your luggage is;) with an escalator straight to track 4 for the narita express. Couldn't be easier!!! More than that- they kindly stored our luggage prior to our stay, for 3 days while we visited Kyoto! When we checked in our luggage was already in the room! The two-beds room we had was spacious, clean with a washer and free detergent. Bathroom was spacious and clean. I was confused at first about the shower area. the shower was in front on the bathtub not inside it ... So different from the states... They sure make the bathroom experience a luxury with warm toilet seats and fresh stream of warm water for cleansing. Very kind service sufficient English and excellent email communications prior to our stay. I Highly recommend! Thank you!

Free beer every day from 17.30-18.30 what more could you want ;-) The Millennials is very well located, very close to Shibuya station. The capsules are very large, modern and the beds comfortable. The light and the beds can be controlled by I-Pod. The showers and toilets are clean and spacious. The staff is young, friendly and has good English knowledge. The only thing that disturbed was the screens rolling up and down all night long. The price is rather high compared to other capsule hotels in Shibuya. But I would recommend the hotel because of the atmosphere and the futuristic experience.

There are not so many choice of hotel in Shibuya. Most of them are more expensive than the other area in Tokyo. Tokyo Stay may be a very good choice for you. It's very close to most famous clubbing so that you are not worry about the transportation after finishing your entertainment in late night. I like the double window shelter from balcony very well. It provide absolute sound proof from outside. Entire parts of hotel including lobby, restaurant and guest rooms are very clean. Mattress and bedding s very comfortable. Very strong and hot shower in plastic capsule bathroom. Fast wifi services in guest room. It is quite unfair the hotel was scored 2 stars only. I feel that this hotel should be rated at least 3 stars. I will choose this hotel again if I stay in Shibuya next time. It takes around 15 mins walking distance from Shibuya station to hotel. It's quite difficult to find the hotel in first time using a simple map since there are so many side streets there. You can visit the official web site of this hotel and download the guidance pictures. You just follow the pictures step by step and you will find the hotel very easily.

I am a frequent traveler to Tokyo. This is my 1st stay at the Tokyo Stream Shibuya Hotel. The hotel’s location is perfect, just about 3-min or walking distance between the New South Gate of JR Shibuya Station and the Hotel. For a female traveler like me, I would say this boosts the rating of the hotel. When I walked out from the Narita Express train, followed the direction from taking the New South Exit, then Bingo - I could see the hotel on my left within just 50 meters away. I also find the staff are very helpful, and most of them speak good English. I will certainly come back and stay at the Tokyo Stream Shibuya Hotel.

the hotel is new, the staff are friendly and helpful and their English is good. However, the room is a bit disappointing. The Deluxe Single room is smaller than expected and the balcony is not that clean and comfortable to stay at. the washroom is tiny. For the view, you can just see the people working in the building next to the hotel, which is quite close to each other. We could see each other very clearly. Provided with such a price, a more quality room is expected. For the location, it is in the middle of Harajuku station and Shibuya station. It takes some time to walk to both stations, which is quite inconvenient especially on rainy days. One of the major characteristics of this hotel is socializing, there are different events held in the Trunk Bar regularly. Still, it is a good experience to stay in this hotel. if you do not intend to be involved in those socializing events, give it a second thought before you make the reservation.

Almond was a great stay! Location was great. Loved the vibe, very cool, contemporary, artsy/hipster area just outside the main Shibuya city. 2 mins from 2 different subway stops which connected us to all of Tokyo. I was SO impressed with check in - super efficient process, a run through of everything we needed to know on an info sheet which we could keep with us during our stay. Beautiful cafe space downstairs where reception and staff are. The hostel entrance is actually separate from the cafe, around the corner, so you do have to go outside to enter the lounge/cafe hang out space, but we didn't find this an inconvenience at all. Our dorm was 24 beds, but it didn't feel too full at all. Space is so efficiently used, clean, minimal and beautiful. Space for your suitcases to lock in etc. One thing we missed was a kitchen space - there is no fridge, sink, pantries, dishes so this did mean buying a bit more food out or having to ask the cafe for cutlery etc. Amazing stay over all!

Location is excellent - just five minutes away from the Shibuya Station/Shibuya Crossing, and yet it's far enough from the bustle of the Shibuya crowd. In fact, the hotel is located in a neighbor that remains peaceful even during the busy parts of the day. The neighborhood also has a good variety of food spots (which appears to be catered mostly by locals), so you are just a few steps away from a restaurant or cafes. Also, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and can communicate in English. This place offers great value for money and I highly recommend it.

Very clear instructions on how to reach the apartment. Amidst the busy streets of shibuya, the apartment is strategically located in a quiet part of the area. Great location to restaurants, shops, and transportation means. Apartment is comfortably spacious for 3 adults. Only downside I must point out, the signal of the free wifi device provided fluctuates from time to time, and the battery does not last for a whole day. It ran out of battery before our day was finished. Many times I find it hard to connect to the net, especially frustrating since I am highly reliant on google maps to guide me on the train schedules Nevertheless, this is a great choice of accomodation in shibuya.

Great value for the money. Facilities are clean and are comparable to most nice quality hostels. Homemade breakfast was a buffet of Japanese vegetable dishes and was delicious! I like the location in Shibuya, as it makes last trains for those in that part of town a non-issue. It is about a 12 minute walk from Shibuya station which I didn’t mind, but I was traveling light and enjoyed the walk. (May be a different story with heavy bags).

I have always wanted to give capsule hotels a try, and since I have seen many websites mention this place, I picked this place for my transitional stay as I needed to be near the Shibuya area. This place was clean and comfortable to stay at, and the staffs were friendly. The public hot bath was very pretty and spacious, though I do feel that it's quite a big waste of water... The capsule itself was quite spacious for me (I'm only 5 feet tall) and it was quiet enough that I managed to sleep through the night without waking up. I did find the capsule bottom to be a bit too firm, though. The building area is smoke-free which is good. I really liked the pretty Yukata they lend you for the duration of the stay, and that bag of hygiene products were nice too. They have luggage storage service for the day of check-in and the day of check-out, but since their front desk isn't fully open until the evening, if you go there early to drop off luggage you might have to knock a few more times to get the staff's attention. Since the room locker wasn't big enough for my luggage I ended up just leaving it standing upright outside my cacoon. Fortunately the floor wasn't full that night so it wasn't too problematic for my neighbours =) Location wise it was a bit hidden so it took me 15 minutes to find it at first, going from Shinsen station. It unfortunately doesn't have an elevator so it was a bit of a workout to carry my luggage all the way to 4F. The price is a bit higher compared to other capsule hotels (as this is a higher-end capsule hotel) but it's still much cheaper than other single-room options in the Shibuya area. Overall, while it's unlikely that I will stay again as I didn't find staying at a capsule hotel as convenient as I would've liked, I enjoyed my pleasant stay at Nadeshiko Hotel Shibuya and would recommend it to other ladies who would also like to experience a capsule hotel and meet other travelers =)

This love hotel is centrally located only a 8 min walk from Shibuya Station and directly across from a nightclub. If you don’t mind listening to a very faint bass of some techno music on the weekends from 11pm-7am, potentially hearing love noises when your window is open & have no need for ample space for luggage, this place is for you! Service is efficient & the room is TINY yet clean! The hotel lobby offers classy jazz music along with cakes, snacks, coffee, juice, soda & ice cream. A FREE Western or Japanese style breakfast is served (& reserved in advance, no last-min changes) to your room between 6-10am. Room amenities are high-end TOTO bathroom appliances (now we’re spoiled), toiletries you didn’t know you needed, stocked bev mini fridge & a karaoke machine! Not all staff speaks English but enough basic English words. There is a Lawson convenience store next door and many restaurants & shopping in area. Highly recommended for the open-minded & self-sufficient!

After going thru the reviews, still go ahead with the stay with them. Staff (man and lady reception) are friendly, very helpful and accommodating. Thou it's a love hotel, not much of inconvenience to anyone. There are bottles of free shampoo and shower foam for you to choose and use in room. Walking distance to Shibuya Station, thou Google map don't work quite well over there. Room are with attached toilet. There is a light blinking outside room to indicate your room upon checking in.

All in all I would have to say that this Apartment is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in all of my 30 + years of coming to Tokyo. The location could not be better, in a nice quiet corner of Shibuya 10 mins slow walking to main centre. Spotlessly clean, spacious, every modern amenity you could think of, and an extremely helpful owner/manager who can't do enough for you, makes the overall stay experience just that so much extra, than some sterile Hotel in the area that costs about the same if not more, for half as much value. TW45 Shibuya Apartment is a hidden oasis in the middle of Shibuya hustle and bustle..100% recommended!
