This hotel was phenomenal. Although a little bit pricy, it was totally worth it. The views were great and the staff was more than helpful and they did their very best to accommodate us as English speaking guests. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel ”
All staffs are very nice and helpful with great consideration. Food is delicious especially the buffet breakfast with a great variety of dishes. I like 真鯛魚片湯飯 the most. The scenery of the hotel everywhere is excellent. Even located at the hill top, the hotel provides shuttle bus to and from downtown made our trip comfortable and easier.

December in Kagoshima ”
It’s a large hotel at the top of the hill, with great views over the harbor. The ferry to Sakurajima is about 10 min by car down the hill. There isn’t much within walking distance- you’ll need to rent a car or go by taxi to outside restaurants or shops.

It's not in a central location, but frequent free shuttle bus service makes up for it. In addition, the outdoor onsen has a great city view and view of Sakurajima. Many hotel staff can communicate in English well and provide great customer service. The hotel is big and there are many facilities/restaurants. Room is sufficiently sized, though not exactly large.

Impressive stay”
Impressive stay at Kagoshima Shirayama hotel. Their service is really top notch. We have a shuttle service to pick us up to send us to the entrance of the hotel. Then, our luggages were picked up as we were checked in swiftly. We were escorted to our room and shown around by the staff with a mini room tour before leaving us to rest. My baby was given a mini kids toiletries set which is really cute. We really had a very comfortable stay and wished we could stay for another night. I upgraded us to a room with a bigger bed and a view of Sakurajima 🌋. Best of all, it cost is reasonable to stay here for a night. 👍🏼

the location is far from downtown region but with free shuttle bus every 30mins the views are excellent the onset is also very great, same as the photo shown on the website the hotel services are excellent too, although some staff may not speak in englisg well, but they are really helpful and polite the breakfast is very good, planty of choices in western and also japanese style the sashimi rice taste almost the best among all dishes in kagoshima generally, the cp value is not very high but it must be worthy with that price

Hotel local nearby 2 km away from JR and shopping mall; free parking, i think it is the biggest scale hotel in Kagoshima, lots of facilities including children indoor play room and free hot spring. At least 5 restaurants for choices. Brilliant
