                Shitanda offers traditional Japanese accommodations, a hot public bath and free-use bicycles, an 18-minute ride from Takayama Station with its complimentary shuttle. It features a garden, karaoke facilities and free parking. Free WiFi is available in the rooms. Shitanda is around a 15-minute drive from the Hida Daishonyudo Cave and the Shishi-Kaikan (Lion Dance Ceremony Exhibition Hall). The Hida Minzoka Mura Folk Village is a 25-minute drive away. Rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor, a low table with seating cushions and traditional futon bedding. They’re fitted with a flat-screen TV and a safe. Bathing facilities are shared.                 Great”

                This place is really great. I would recommend it to anyone planning to go to Takayama. It about 15 mins from Takayama station, they provide pickup. They even allowed me and my wife to have private onsen. Japanese style breakfast is really taste.

                Excellent host with peaceful environment”

                The hosts were excellent! They were so kind and took the time/effort to ask us about our itinerary so that they can prepare transport and food etc. I was really impressed. The location of the ryokan is quite a distance away from city area (not very feasible to cycle or walk). But it is not a problem at all, as the host will arrange transport at whatever time you wish to head back to the ryokan. Really excellent service.

                Good local experience”

                Beautiful stunning Japanese style house, it's a family business and the owner is so friendly. We booked the Japanese room with half-board, it was excellent. Even though, the hotel is quite far from Takayama city, they provide the shuttle car to pick you up from the station.

                Un Riokan meraviglioso immerso nella natura solo un po' fuori mano.”

                Il riokan è molto bello e il servizio di navetta molto comodo. Unico neo è che si è costretti a rientrare relativamente presto e non è possibile girare al di fuori della struttura in quanto immersa nella natura. Consigliato per relax
