5 stars for a 2 star hotel in Mindoro”
Look let's call it as it is, this is San Jose Mindoro and youre not going to find any luxury resorts in town. This is definitely a nice 2-3 star hotel and delivers everything you could need for staying here. Staff is friendly, location is perfect (my grandmas house is also on Bonifacio St, so I could just walk there), everything is clean, with an added plus of a coffee shop downstairs. My only advice is to get a room with a window as it is a bit depressing in a window-less room! The rooms with window were super cute and had good energy! Also dont leave any food or juice in the room as ants will come. As soon as I removed the food the ants went away, but otherwise everything was clean.

The rates were great and the staff wonderful. We had to prolong our stay there due to typhoon Tisoy hitting the morning we were to leave and the San Jose airport was shut down. The ferry also could not run because of high seas. Thank God the hotel had a generator so we had power. The kitchen was open so food was also no problem. We plan on staying there when we return to visit again.

Rooms are not so large, can hear other guest in halls, other then that great price,clean room, staff is helpful, but absolutely the best thing about this hotel is the caffe open 6am-6pm about only place to get ice cold drinks and food is amazing. Will stay here again

SJ Mansion the best”
Didnt expect SJ Mansion to be so clean and good! Though quite far away from the airport but one ride away by trike or can ask the hotel for the free shuttle!! I love the food and the ambiance. Staff are so nice and accommodating!

I stayed SJ Mansion for 2 days in Sep 2019. For 1st day, I asked to change from single room to a bigger room so that my friends could stay together. Despite sudden request, they coordinated accordingly and didn't charge us too much. I found that room was neat and tidy. Staff were all hospitable. One thing I really liked was their breakfast service. It costs only PHP100 and comes with brewed coffee!! If I have a chance to go to San Jose again, I will surely stay at SJ mansion .

A gem in the heart of San Jose City. There were not a lot of choices, so we were lucky to find this hotel. When we booked an extra night, they forgot to provide all standard items in the room (floor towel, toilet paper). The rooms are also very small, so it might not be ideal for taller or wider guests.

Free Airport transfer is a huge plus factor. When I entered the lobby, the staffs were really nice. They were very helpful. When I get in to my room, the room smells fresh. The mattress feels comfortable. Wifi is fast. But the bathroom needs more cleaning. I am very critical about the room's cleanliness and I can say that it needs more attention. It can be improved.

The price is already a good deal for 2pax. Location is great, near the city proper. Clean and nice room. Clean bathroom, could’ve been better if it’s more spacious. Staff are very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Facilities are good, wifi is fast, milktea in the hotel cafe is delicious; could’ve been better if there is a swimming pool :) Overall, it’s a comfortable stay.

Good hotel, good location”
I stayed here for 2 nights and found the staff exceptional. Very helpful and courteous. They made the ferry reservation to Coron for me and provided good advice. It's a clean and modern hotel in a good location . My only criticism is the restaurant. I think that the menu needs to be revised. The staff tries hard, but the restaurant was a disappointment. I hope that this gets improved for future guests.

Clean, surprisingly quiet, free airport shuttle, great service”
The bar for customer service in hotels in the Philippines is pretty low; this is doubly so once you get out into the province. I was very happily surprised by SJ Mansion. The property is very new (so who knows how long the standard will remain this high lol), but for now it is exceptionally clean. Our room was brand new. There is a coffee shop on the ground floor. Wifi is available in the room but signal is sporadic. Oddly, our room had not a single electrical outlet, so we had to charge our phones at the front desk. Speaking of the room, our room (either 2K or K2) was dead silent, so if you are a light sleeper like me, go for that one. The owner is a friendly man. I asked him to call me a trike in the morning but instead, he volunteered that there was a free shuttle at 7:30 a.m. Nice. Pro tip: If you're looking for cheap eats, they're about a five-minute walk away. Walk out the front of the hotel, turn left, walk until you hit the roundabout, turn left again.

Perfect Stopover Location ”
After weeks in hostels the budget room was heavenly. Great air conditioning, hot shower, room service available, friendly staff. Only thing is wifi didn’t work which was a shame.

Excellent Accomodation With Awesome Staff”
Room was spacious and clean. Staff were very attentive and accommodating to our needs. The hotel owner and his father goes the extra mile to help us plan our tours since we did not have any plan going there. One thing to note is that the wifi is very slow when we were there plus 3G signal at best for both Globe and Smart.
