Disappointing but ok”
Booking this we saw the images and were imagining a lovely cosy lodge with big comfy beds and wholesome food. It was the most expensive place we stayed in on our honeymoon and was meant to be the two nights of "luxury" we were allowing ourselves. It was cosy and it was in a nice lodge style but the bed was tiny! We were so uncomfortable trying to squeeze on together I actually considered sleeping on the floor. And the food was passable. Not bad but not great either, I can make a better breakfast at home. The location is good if you have a car but if you don't have a car good luck on Skye anyway! And the room stank of mildew. It was clean and there was an air freshener but it couldn't overcome the smell. The billiard room is nice. Overall though we were very disappointed and we were happy to get to a "chain" inn the night after for half the price and more than twice the comfort!

fantastic stay great service”
overnight stay during a six week self drive tour of uk/ireland. definately a highlight. we booked a superior double room - what a bargain - four poster king bed, large room and well appointed bathroom. staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. dinner in restaurant was great - food and wine extremely good. hotel is on large grounds including golf course and waterviews.would strongly recommend a stay at skeabost.

Great location with good service”
The setting was lovely but we felt the room where we stayed out the back of the hotel appeared to be a flat roof additions built some time back. The bedroom and bathroom were old and tired. The bed was uncomfortable. When I mentioned it to staff they could not do enough to help, by turning the mattress and putting a duvet under the bottom sheet, which certainly helped. We dined in the restaurant that night and the meal was great
